Unacceptable craftsmanship for a $350 premium build. Avoid their online shop. I ordered a custom Ventus VeloCore+, a $350 premium shaft--and what I received was a joke. When you spend that kind of money on one of the best shafts on the market, you expect absolute perfection. Instead, the shaft arrived with several scuffs and marks on it, looking like it had been handled with zero care or was a floor demo. Beyond the cosmetic damage, the build quality was amateur. The adapter was not seated properly, leaving a gap that makes the club look cheap and compromises the gapping. Honestly it was a huge safety issue because the head could have came flying off and hit a family member but they didn't seem to care. For a shop to send out a high-end piece of equipment like this with such blatant quality control issues is insulting. When I brought these issues to their attention, they offered $80 credit for the marks, which was reasonable but only $30 for the poorly installed adapter. For a $400 investment, a $30 credit for a botched install and a scratched shaft is a slap in the face and after wasting 4 hours of my time to get it fixed. They clearly don't respect their customers or the premium equipment they sell. If you want your high-end builds done right, go literally anywhere else. This place is the best in Dallas by far! Ask for Austin! My entire bag came from this place. I recently did a putter fitting with Austin and had no idea so much could go into a putter. When 15 different putters go in ur hands for a few strokes you really can feel a difference! The fine tuning after that with changing shafts, loft, lie angle and grip will really fine tune it to ur stroke. I'm blown away. I felt like a tour pro the entire time. If ur going to spend money on clubs and a fitting don't go with a pro that will push a certain brand bc they get a kick back. Go to the real shop that does it based on what works best. Perfectly fine as an e commerce store with competitive prices across the board, I've gotten 5 boxes of prov1, three putters (gifts), a driver, wedge set, shafts for my driver, three wood, putter etc in just the few months I've been here. Coming from out of town I was looking for a local store I can go to regularly to dial in my equipment heading into the season for competitive golf. Pricing you can always look online and pick out the best price and call it a day. Unfortunately, this is not that store. They've struggled and required incredibly long lead times and inconsistent service. I even brought in a wedge to reshaft and to buy a couple putters and mid purchase realized I wasn't comfortable doing more business there. If you are interested in a custom fitting, you should 100% come to Dallas golf. I came in for a putter fitting with Austin on 10/7/23. Everyone working at the store was incredibly nice when I first walked in. When I told Austin that I was interested in doing a broomstick, he said there was no need for the putter fitting charge and that he was glad to help. He quickly figured out the right specs for the putter, and adroitly changed the lie angle on a putter they had. Finally, he very graciously put a different grip than the options online that I wanted and was happy to do it. I bought a custom driver at a different store that I had heard good things about in Dallas (store that I will not name), and the experience was truly atrocious and the people at the store had awful attitudes about the questions I asked. Went here because they had some really good sale prices on their shoes. Spent some time looking around and could only find a handful of shoes, all at full price. Finally an old guy walks by me and says "let me know if you need anything" no pause in his stride, just keeps walking and around the corner he went. So I went to the counter and told him I was looking for golf shoes they had online for sale. With a grumpy attitude he says "Anything online is probably in the back." This is the best retail store in the golf industry and it's not even close. It gives you a local shop feel with state of the art technology and an e-commerce warehouse that store millions in equipment. Anyone complaining about long lead times must not be aware of the economic environment going on in the world today. Everyone from Top country clubs to manufacturers themselves have long lead times. I have not had any issues with lead times when buying anything from Dallas Golf. Austin is by far one of the most knowledgeable fitters I've spent time with. The store had been recommended by his golf instructor, Steve C, here in northern CO. Well, we just got a knock on our door & the club was JUST DELIVERED! Thursday, 4.20.22!! He's said that the club looks new & is way above the "average" club. The store had rated it 9 out of 10 & he certainly agrees with that assessment. Walked in to trade in some clubs and waited almost 15 minutes, along with two customers in the hitting bays while Jim made phone calls and ignored those people he did not recognize. A couple of "regulars" came in they were taken care of over other customers who were in line before them. Not a customer service friendly establishment! I utilized another site (The Golf Warehouse) to trade in clubs in order to purchase new ones. Unfortunately, they use Dallas Golf for inspecting and traded in clubs. The clubs I traded in were in near perfect condition and were still rejected by Dallas Golf. And I highly recommend not using them directly because their trade in rates are abysmally low compared to the many other sites that are out there. It has been over two weeks, and I have still not received my clubs (worth over $2000). I do not recommend doing business with them either directly or indirectly. Fantastic experience. Top flight service. Have bought from Dallas Golf online for a long time, but had the occasion to be in Dallas and stopped by for some assistance on shaft fitting for my driver. The staff was very helpful in getting me the right shaft for my swing characteristics as well as a couple of pointers on set up and swing that had me launcing it noticably longer with a nice draw.
