Terrible service. If you aren't a regular you will likely not get approached/acknowledged. The employees all think they are on tour and will look at you like an idiot no matter what question you ask. Dropped my clubs off to get regripped and got quoted for 3 days. Ended up taking a week and they didn't even clean my grooves. Never had a good experience, 0/10 stars. read more

When I walked in, they were almost disappointed a new person walked in asking for club services, and as soon as the people they recognized walked in, I turned into a brick wall. If you are a female, DO NOT GO HERE. We were rudely missed judged and harassed as soon as we entered the parking lot, getting yelled at by the manager who challenged us before we could even state that we were planning on purchasing from his store. Lost 3 customers, was shopping for my boyfriend when this happened. Very disappointed considering we live right by Edwin Watts but not worth it for the way we were treated. read more

First time visitor and first time ever writing a review. I strongly agree with the other reviews about poor service. Walked in with a putter to get a new grip. Door is next to front desk where three staff members are just watching golf on tv and received no acknowledgment. No biggie, I'll find the grips to see what I like. During that walk, an older staff member walks right past me with eye contact. No biggie, maybe he's helping someone already. I quickly find the grip I want and begin looking around for someone. Same older staff member was just meandering around. I approach him, stand in his proximity, and have to verbally ask if he could help me with getting a new putter grip put on. Laughs in my face and points to where the grips are. I say "yeah I already picked one out. I heard you guys can install grips, how does that process work?" Laughs again saying "Yeah we install grips..." "okay well what do you charge and do I have to come back later to get it?" I ask. "It's only $4 to install, dude, just show me which grip you want" laughing more. At this point I meet him with the same attitude by saying "okay well I've never been here so how am I supposed to know?" At that point the service-oriented charm finally came out. Showed him which grip I wanted, gave him my putter, and looked over at their selection of clubs... It's too bad because I was actually prepared to drop some serious cash if they had a full set of Taylormade irons I had been looking for so I didn't have to ship them online. I wanted to support a small Fort Worth business but drove straight over to academy to get the clubs instead. Two stars because the grip was installed correctly and I liked that they had a good selection of used clubs, especially for the beginners, which you don't see often. The staff at Edwin Watts is outstanding - knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. In particular, I have worked with Reuben, Alex and Marvin and all three have been tremendously helpful over the years. They have an excellent selection of golf equipment in the Fort Worth store, and what they do not have on the floor, they can order and have ready for pickup usually in 10 days or less. Further, I have had clubs re-gripped, re-shafted, and lie angles adjusted with all work done exactly to my specs. They know their craft and do it well. read more

4 employees in the store , I walked around for 20 mins needing help with a driver. I hit some practice balls twice and still zero acknowledgment. Two employees walked right by me while I was clearly in need of help. I actually called another shop while in the store to see if they had the club I wanted because I didn't want to give this place my money. Unfortunately I needed this now so I spend $645 on a new Titleist driver, I couldn't even bring myself to buy balls or a new glove from y'all so I pick it up at course. Oh but the VIP as (one was actually as) was receiving just that vip service while myself and other went ungreeted and unhelped. Staff smirk and condescend to me about needing club extensions he man slained about bunch of rudimentary knowledgw that was so offenaive that I has to leave before exploding on his smirking condescending stupid ass. well I know how to take old graphite and make my own extensions but had a 50 dollar Texas tech putter cover and a practice net that I set down. Rude and condescending staff who will openly mock you. If you know exactly what you need and don't need help, then this place has some good options. Otherwise, don't go here. I bought a full set here and it was a debacle getting the right size. 4 different people told me 4 different measurements. When I questioned it, they acted more like children with sensitive egos rather than just trying to figure out the problem. I went in a few months later to look at other clubs, and I could hear them openly mocking me. The only person who was great is the gentleman in the back who actually does the adjustments. read more

"Some" of the older staff extremely rude... So be prepared to ask for help from someone else or go elsewhere. But I do like this place to get my golf equipment. read more

A great golf shop with great values, and very helpful staff. They asked all the right questions about my game to help me find the right new woods. Even better, they were very patient and helpful for my friend who has never played golf before. And if you don't want to be bothered they know how to let you browse too. I buy everything needed for the golf season from this store. Ryan, Danny & Paul are all great. They treat you like a customer and genuinely care that your getting a product you will be happy with. The big positive is that they know how to actually fit you for the right clubs. I wouldn't trust anyone to work on my clubs other than these guys.
