    Prices in Japanese=Dollars sign

The is Japanese general store have many near and overseas products that definitely will entertain anyone. From toys, school supplies, kitchen, shoes, bathroom, Japanese chips, drinks, food, and so much more at a great and competitive prices. This place will compete with the General Dollar, Family dollar. Highly recommend you come and check out their neat, overseas, useful items.

Daiso is like a Japanese five below with all kinds of household goods, snacks, hair/skin care, and seasonal items. It was fun to walk around and check out all of the different selections. There are some skin care items from South Korea that are definitely great dupes for expensive brands and have the same ingredients. They have the cutest dishes that are very affordable. I bought a bunch of snacks to surprise my kids in their lunch boxes. For crafting they also had a lot of the papers, stickers and such for much cheaper than the craft stores. The aisles get a bit packed, but the employees move the line pretty fast.

This store is super organized, clean and well stocked! The prices are listed in yen (conversion price charts around the store) but anything that does not have a price tag is for $1.75. Great alternative to the dollar stores as they have every day items, toys, household items and snacks/beverages.

I opted for a class to help me jump back in to my long lost hobby. Suzy teaches 12pm-2pm and invites us to bring any questions or projects we need help with. She was a delight to meet and helped me remember things I had forgotten from projects I had left unfinished as well as start a new HAT with a new wool yarn that I bought at the store. Cathy helped me at the counter and was so very welcoming and kind. She invited me to wait in their sitting area which is super cozy. I was surrounded by example projects and even a knitting "bowl-stand-table" that was hand made wood from a local wood crafter. I included it in my photo of the sofa area. It is so pretty. I'm satisfied with my class today and have knowledge to finish what I had started and a new project on my circular needles Thanks Suzy and Cathy for your help today. I look forward to visiting again. ~LindaD

I do, however, have a friend who has one, and that is how I ended up shopping at this little store. Really, if you don't know it's there, it is easy to miss. Their selection of vinyl is pretty good. They sell glitter and matte vinyl of varied colors. They also sell squares of vinyl for smaller projects, as well as other types of crafting materials. The pricing for the vinyl seemed ok. You can get individual square sheets from about $1- 4 and rolls from $3.50 - 6.50. Some of the vinyl was a bit on the pricey side, but not being a huge connoisseur of vinyl materials, I can't say if this was a huge difference from selections at bigger commercial places. I do know the other stores have higher prices for full rolls of vinyl, and if you're only doing a smaller project, like I was, this seemed a better deal. Know that this is a privately owned business, not a chain, so be aware that they do not do returns. It is posted all over the store. For an exchange, I was told I'd have to contact the owner via the receipt. So make sure that you purchase what you need and ask for pricing before buying. All in all, I would say, if you're making a smaller project, or one with many colors, this is better option to having to buy more expensive rolls in the other stores.

I thought it was just me but I was recently talking about this business to another crafter and they said, " oh, I don't go there, they make me feel weird".

I don't know if it's management issues, staffing issues or just corporate forgot about this store, but it just keeps getting worse through the years. I come here at least once a month for either seasonal decor, or just paper goods that I need for my work, and checking out always takes forever. First of all, for some reason many of the items they have at store are always missing the barcode which requires for someone to search that item online to get the accurate SKU number which takes a good extra 15min from my check out experience. I don't understand why they keep placing items for sell that don't have a code or haven't been processed... who knows what the issue is. Besides that, their "new" self-checkout machines are HORRIBLE. They are super slow, break all the time, and most of the time I always have to call someone to come and help me because the machine can't find my item. What's the point of removing cashiers if we still need a human to process our payment? Just overall, the in-person shopping experience is horrible and I sure hope they fix all of this soon.
