No smiles served here. Go to Culver's around the corner. Requested sprinkles on a cone at the drive thru, got to the window and saw that it didn't have sprinkles. I asked if sprinkles could be added and the drive thru attendant rolled her eyes and audibly groaned then forcefully put the cone to the side (bottom of the cone was crushed when she handed it back). I explained that it was part of my order and I apologized to her if it was not heard. She was very aggressive afterward, thrusting the rest of the items at me through the window. I honestly figured she was having a terrible day as working in the service industry is not what it used to be. While grabbing a $5 dollar bill to tip her and make an attempt at improving her day, I asked her to hang on for a second and she SLAMMED the window and turned her back to me. My kids got to watch all of this behavior. We just wanted some ice cream to perk us up, as we were coming from a funeral. My husband and I ordered each ordered a chili cheese dog. Mine was with light onions, my husband's was no onions add ketchup. He also ordered a Pepsi to drink. Pulled to the window to get our order; had to remind them that we ordered a small Pepsi. Pulled away and parked in the lot -- both chili cheese dogs had onions and the Pepsi was flat. Drove around again. Got a WHOLE LOT OF ATTITUDE about their mistake! The manager even gave us attitude, and the second Pepsi was just as flat as the first one! Ordered 3 items -- 2 out 3 were wrong the first time. They replaced the 2 items, and 1 was still unacceptable! Now, they do have a great hot fudge sundae, but I guess that's pretty hard to mess up. read more

Wanted to order a birthday ice cream cake. Called the DQ on Lovers Lane and they said this place on Center has them. Tried calling the phone no. 5x during that day. Left message, no return call. Finally drove to the place and asked about the cake. I wanted it for the next day. They told me that you have to give 48 hr notice. I asked to speak to the manager. I told her about no one answering the phone and I had to drive all the way there. She appeared to have a real attitude talking to me. Her reply, oh you couldn't have called I've been here since 3 p.m. Oh yeah, I called after 4 p.m and have the times on my phone. I handed her the paper with all the times I called and she didn't look at it and replied oh yeah we were busy. Saw 4 or 5 people behind the counter working. Will take my business elsewhere. read more

This is a fun little spot to hit on a warm summer day. I'm sure most everyone is familiar with the brand. Caution: If you bring the kids here be very careful. The parking lot and drive thru traffic wrap themselves around the building itself. You have to cross in front of traffic to get to the seating areas or even back to your car. There's a second seating area with a cool little gazebo at the north side of the lot. Still be careful as there are busy adjacent streets.It's an unfortunate but inherent to where the building sits in the middle of the lot. Service is attentive but as with many DQ's when you hit the place when there are a number of folks there or right after little Johnny's T-ball game you can expect to wait a while. The lines ebb and flow depending upon the luck of the draw. I'm a fan of a chocolate dipped cone or a blizzard. There are a number of blizzard flavors available. Your particular taste so your call. The Brazier food choices are a general burger and fries type cuisine that all rank okay in my book. read more

We like DQ. We are not impressed with this location. Their employees NEVER, I mean NEVER, say 'thank you' for our business. We are pleasant people. We always say please and thank you. We patiently wait for our orders. Today, the only words the girl at the drive-up window said to us were, 'You want napkins?'. I said, 'You're welcome'. She just glared at us. Ownership and/or management needs to train their employees on the most basic of customer service manners. read more

Visited this location last night. Ordered two ice cream cones through the drive thru window. The person taking the money wore gloves and took our money. This same person handed us our cones with the same gloved hands she took our money. With all that is going on with COVID 19 and the precautions we are supposed to be following I won't be coming back here again. read more

We stopped at This DQ with our two children for a quick meal and ice cream after work last Friday. We were superbly disappointed when, at around 5pm, we were informed they had no burgers, no fries because the fryer was broken, and no soft drinks because they were out of the carbonation. We ordered hotdogs and water. They were meh. The garbage next to the picnic tables was overflowing. We were all in a bad mood after, and we opted to go home rather than order any ice cream. The staff was young, unapologetic, and there were no signs to indicate they were out of food. We will NOT return, despite the fact that we drive by here nearly every day and do enjoy the ice cream. An email to corporate DQ prompted a response that was a sort-of-sorry and we-love-our-customers. Um, no thanks. read more

I ordered a chili dog with mustard and a bacon cheeseburger. Had to scoop mustard off the hotdog to make it edible. The cheesburger was awful also. The bacon was two slabs of fat, and limp. Tried to purchase ice cream for 5 people but the location on Centre Avenue in Portage, MI would not accept a $50 bill. It was stated on the order window, however with 5 people ordering there wouldn't have been much change back from the $50. Needless to say we will not be back. We went for treats at this DQ last night. Good blizzards, but WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. When we asked about the price for two SMALL blizzards being $5.18 EACH, we were told that the franchise owner can set any price she wishes. We then learned she owns 4-5 DQs in the area - quite the monopoly. Those blizzards are more expensive than ones in Chicago where we live. It's very disappointing to have this kind of price gouging in a beloved store like DQ. Buyer beware - other DQs are not this expensive! read more

An overall poor experience. When ordering food, options were surprisingly limited compared to other Dairy Queen restaurants. The employees I interacted with seemed disinterested and did not pay good attention to detail. I ordered a cheeseburger meal and a Blizzard. Pricing was on the high side-$5.50 for a small blizzard! This location said that they were out of specific toppings at lunch hour. A problem to say the least. The patty in the cheeseburger was decidedly not meat after taking a bite, it tasted more like a veggie burger. I did not finish it. The fries that came with the meal were pretty good, as well as my blizzard. However, my wait was quite long and for the price, the food and service were very underwhelming. read more

I was just there and ordered a cotton candy blizzard. It was made incorrectly. I did not have the cotton candy pieces in but sprinkles in it. I was very disappointed, if you were out I should have been told. I'm 9 months pregnant and all I wanted was this blizzard. I will be throwing most of it away. read more
