I genuinely think this place has the most underrated & DELICIOUS gelato in the GTA. This is also coming from someone who has tried the most popular spots downtown & elsewhere. The quality is unmatched, pricing per portion is reasonable, and half of their flavors rotate according to what's in season so it's hard to get bored! Dairy & non dairy options are available as well. The texture is smooth, creamy, not overly sweet, and made in-house with high quality ingredients you can taste. You can sample max 2 flavors & also buy their products pre-portioned to take home or give as a gift. In my opinion they've got the best TRUE pistachio gelato of you're into that. Some notable flavors I've tried that I highly recommend are yogurt, yuzu cheesecake, blueberry, and asian pear. I also love that they give you a little waffle cone shard if you order a cup.

Damn. Who knew I can get really good gelato in the heart of Yonge and Finch!…read more Since opening their doors in the Yonge North York community, Gelato North brings East Meets West influences with traditional Italian gelato techniques meeting the flavours of Korean cuisine! From the traditional flavours of Chocolate and Strawberry Gelato, you should also add Yuzu Cheesecake and Injeolmi to your gelato cone/cup as it's a fun and great way to stay cool and fresh for the summer! This family owned business always aims to bring quality into everything they do from the gelato (vegan options included too) to their homemade desserts such as their delicious tiramisu!

I have memories of growing up and going to another Baskin Robbins when I was so young, I had no say…read morein what ice cream flavors I would be eating. I really had whatever my mother wanted as I got to have a little bit of hers. She always loved Jamoca ice cream (without the almonds or fudge). While I have never been a coffee drinker, because of my mother, I ended up absolutely loving Jamoca, too. The earliest memories I had of Jamoca ice cream and Baskin Robbins was at a location in Arizona, which I still frequent. On a recent trip to Toronto, my sister and I met up with a cousin and got Baskin Robbins at this location. We enjoyed the ice cream, the service, and the location. The staff were friendly and helpful. In fact, during our short visit, we saw a kid and her mother both drop their ice cream off their cones and were both given a replacement scoop. Otherwise, a happy occasion of getting delicious ice cream would turn into a horrible experience, and the staff at this location knew this. I have found everyone I interacted with doing a good job keeping lines moving and making sure that a different server helped each family in line. Unfortunately, this location didn't carry regular Jamoca, but they carried Jamoca Almond Fudge (which I wasn't interested in). I decided on a scoop of Cookies 'n Cream in a sugar cone as a backup. While I am happy with my scoop, they also have cakes, pies, many flavors of ice cream, polar pizzas, beverages, creature creations, take-home quarts, sundaes, and special menu items. You can even order photos on a cake. Many great flavors and other variations for each of these items. There is certainly something for everyone. While I'm not sure if this is a thing in Canada, in the United States, you can sign up for Baskin Robbins Rewards at https://www.baskinrobbins.com/en/rewards and get the app. Each purchase brings you closer to rewards, and when you sign up on the Baskin Robbins app, you'll receive a free scoop after your first qualified purchase. Through the app and the rewards program, you will earn rewards, access exclusive offers, and earn more with challenges. If you note your birthday and those of family members in the app, you'll receive free birthday scoops for each of them. They used to be child's size scoops but now they sometimes are full-size individual scoops. There are other promotions not related to the app or rewards program. For instance, at locations in the States, you get 31% off scoops on the 31st of each month. Now that I wrote this, I'm excited to stop by and pick up some more Jamoca (or Cookies 'n Cream) soon!

They sell pre-made cakes, mini donuts, cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory, milkshakes, and vegan treats. As the name suggests, their signature ice cream is dipped vanilla ice cream with various toppings depending on what you order; I don't know why I expected more than that. Their menu is very straight forward, the staff are friendly and will answer any questions you may have about the menu. I ordered 1 scoop of their Vegan Cookie Dough, which isn't actually "ice cream" (I thought it would be "ice cream" but made out of a dairy alternative). I'm not sure what it's made of as they don't put a description in the store or on the website. It was made well; not dry but on the crumbly side. They also offer vegan ice cream bars that seem more promising. Le Rocher is exactly what you expect it to be. It tasted pretty good, it had a strong hazelnut flavour. Their hard scoops (not pictured) were mediocre, typical scoops from any ice cream shop. TLDR; the scoops aren't anything special, but still yummy nonetheless.

They were uniquely…read moredifferent from other ice cream shops as you were able to mix toppings into your ice cream flavor of choice. Went to this particular location and it was a huge disappointment. For a single scoop with mix ins it was over $9, ice cream was soft (pretty much melted) uneven mix in (seemed like they were folding in the toppings rather than incorporating it), limited availability to topping options. They stopped weighing the scooped ice cream before mix in (they use to do that back then to ensure consistency). Personally, I honestly came here hoping to feel a sense of nostalgia but now I know I can't see myself coming back ever again. Only the real OGs can relate how I'm feeling right now :/

Marble Slab Creamery -- Spoiled Us on a Birthday Treat!…read more Second visit to Marble Slab and it did not disappoint -- this time we came to celebrate my partner's birthday and the three of us had the best time treating ourselves! Pro tip: download their app before you go. My partner had it set up ahead of time and because it's his birthday month, he got a free 2-scoop ice cream just for being a member. On top of that, there was a buy one get one free scoop coupon in the app too -- so basically our whole group was covered. Such a great deal! I went with the Double Chocolate Almond preset flavor and it was absolutely rich and indulgent -- exactly what you want from an ice cream treat. The texture was perfect, smooth and creamy all the way through. What I love most is that even with a preset flavor, you can still customize your toppings freely from everything they have on the slab. That flexibility is a big plus and makes it feel personal every time. The server is really friendly and nice, we had some good time there! Honestly felt so spoiled. Whether you're celebrating something or just treating yourself on a regular day, Marble Slab is worth every scoop. Go try it!
