*Disappointing Experience at Dairy Queen in Royse City, Texas* Title: Burnt and Stale - Not What I Expected Rating: 1/5 I recently visited the Dairy Queen in Royse City, Texas, and was thoroughly disappointed with my experience. I ordered a footlong hot dog and tacos, but what I got was unacceptable. The footlong hot dog was burnt to a crisp, clearly overcooked and lacking quality control. But that wasn't the only issue - the tacos tasted stale and old, like they'd been sitting out for hours. For a fast-food chain known for its quick service and tasty treats, Dairy Queen Royse City fell far short of expectations. Hopefully, they'll step up their game soon! To top it off an employee literally said he was legally blind and he then took his glasses off too read the cash register too do a refund I'm not sure if you can wear contacts and glasses these days but hey whatever. Would not recommend. read more

Dairy Queen - FEET (foot) LONG WITH BLACKENED CHILI Absolutely preposterous... - Fast Food Near Me - Royse City, Texas

This is a Dairy Queen. What I mean is that you come to this restaurant for their ice cream/ blizzards and decent food. I have eaten here once just passing through and it was decent. I have no criticism of it. Was it 5 star dining? No Was it good? Yes Would I recommend? Yes read more

Heard its closing ??? Service is always a struggle. It's like teenagers are running it with bo adult supervision. I go about 1or 2 times a month. read more

One closed in Rockwall and Rowlett !!!! I can't believe it ?!!!!! It was starting to be over priced and can't even get a decent beverage !!

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Never coming here again. I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger and a side of jalitos via the drive through. Get home, and I had HALF an order of jalitos. The burger had NO VEGGIES, NO CONDIMENTS, NO PICKLES, even though I ordered it with everything on it. For over $17 with tax, HORRIBLE RIPOFF. Oh, AND THEIR PHONE NUMBER IS DISCONNECTED. It used to be good until a year ago. read more

Made to perfection! We went here tonight and we absolutely loved it! The ice-cream cones and Blizzards were just what we needed. These people were the best and treated us amazing! I highly recommend this location. Rating: A + read more

Lack of fulfilling orders. We ordered and didn't get everything we ordered. Our fault for not checking I know that. But, it you can't follow order instructions I don't need yo shop from you. It shows me your employees could care less about your business. When ordering and have your employees repeat the order and it's still wrong, you don't need my business. Actually zero stars but you can't do that. Still zero. I will never go back. read more

Service is terrible took 30 minutes to fill order. Bathroom is a mess. Dining room is freezing. No wonder DQs are disappearing

Someone summon Jon Taffer. Too many issues to comment on. Poor management , seemingly zero training. Better off driving to Rockwall or even Greenville if you're really craving DQ. read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! The ambiance was trashy. Did someone bend the inside door? Is that why there's a sign to 'use other door.' Tables were dirty. There was a guy looking very busy, with a bucket and towel, yet nothing he touched was clean...except the roped off section that the employees were having a break in. I don't want to even go on but there was lots to say about the service and the food. The bathroom was clean, I'll give them that much! read more

Came here for a late night dinner run with the family. Went through the drive through and the young lady working it hurried to get out money and close the door back to return to her conversation with coworkers. The male employee's working the food line we're very efficient and quick but I still ended up waiting forever for our food because she wanted to keep talking and kept the window closed as I saw it sit on the warmer. Finally she hands us our food at the direction of other workers and I ask her about the ice cream that was missing for my screaming toddler. She tried to reassure me oh yes we have it, only to close the window again and tell a coworker to make it. Could be a great team if the manager took things more seriously, and they had someone who cared about their job more Manning the drive thru. read more

So to start off this place is ridiculously expensive, we bought two meals and it cost $30. They then tell us they are out of all the dipping sauce we asked for (they have done this every single time we have gone within the past year). We had to wait to receive our meal and when I go to open it the chicken strips aren't even bigger than my finger. read more

Worst Dairy Queen in the country. Ran by a bunch of teenagers who want to chit chat and play around. They could care less if they ever help you. Oh and if they do take your order don't expect it anytime soon. read more

Service is slow and when you get to the window they are just laughing an cuttin up. The disrespect and lazy, I know it's something small but they charge me twice on an blizzard that I didn't want, I ask nicely is they can do my blizzard correct a md blizzard with cookie dough and butterfingers but they refused and told me to take it like that I felt angry because I paid for something that I didt want. 7/14/2022 9:37:28pm drive thru read more

Been going there for 3 years, good service, good food. The clients are a trip depending on the time and day but it's a good place.

So when did DQ start watering down the gravy?? Dip your steak finger in and can't even tell there's any gravy on it. And has absolutely no flavor. It's getting to where it's just not worth eating out. Restaurants have gotten cheap on quality and HIGH on prices. read more

My and my grandmother had to wait 2 hours for our food finally 2 hours later we got of food but then it was wrong and we had to wait another 30 minutes NEVER COME TO THIS PLACE IT IS HORRIBLE! read more

Just here for the blizzards but so far it's been 20 minutes. It's not that they are busy, they made everything, the just had to many people on break at the same time. There was no one there to oversee the operations. It just seamed the kids didn't care. read more

Dairy Queen - They serve you? - Fast Food Near Me - Royse City, Texas

Wow. We waited 20 min to get our food. There are only 2 employees working and the prices are insane. No soap in the bathrooms. For the price it's no wonder there is never anyone in there. This was our first time to eat the food, we normally just get the lizards (which are very good) but never again will we order food from there. read more

Very lazy workers. Forgot our order and then gave us ice cream in a cup without any peaches. How does that happen when you order something so specific? read more

This was the WORST! I'm not one to leave bad reviews but I have to put this out there. I ordered a no. 1 with cheese. They had me pull to the side in a space because they had others waiting in front of me. They brought out my order 3 times and it was still wrong. 35 minutes later I ask for my money back and she said I can add cheese now. By then my onion rings were cold (was double fried gross anyway) and my drink was watered down when they brought it out finally. read more

Sat in the drive through for over 45 minutes, got stuck because I had already paid for my food and was told to park to the side. Ended up never getting our 2 steak finger combos because I had to leave so that my toddler could go to the bathroom. Cars were constantly leaving the line due to the wait time and one other car pulled to the side of me finally received their order and then it was wrong. Ridiculous. read more

Worst experience ever! Don't ever go to Royse City DQ! Save yourself the hassle! This is the 3rd time they have let us down and I just don't think there is anything that can change how I feel about this location with its current management. I ordered an ice cream cake over the weekend and went to the Dairy Queen in Royse City to pick it up. Upon arrival, I was informed that they never received my order. They offered me one of the cakes that they did have. Unfortunately, they did not have the size that I needed, so I asked if they could give me the 10 inch regular ice cream cake (priced at 32.99 when ordered) for the price of the 8 inch regular ice cream cake (priced at 28.99) which is what I ordered. They called the GM who then told them I could go to Rockwall (which would add another 45 minutes of driving for me). When I didn't want to do that with my toddler in tow, they then told me they could give it to me at the 8 inch cake price. While they were writing on it, something happened and we ended up waiting another 30 minutes for the cake to have writing added to it. Upon checkout, he went to ring it up and rang it up as the wrong kind of cake. I informed him that it was a regular cake and not a blizzard cake and he said that they are all the same and the same price. I informed him of the pricing online when ordering a cake and he said that he can't give me those prices even if I was picking up the cake I ordered. So after waiting with my toddler inside of DQ for an hour for a cake that I pre-ordered 4 days prior, I paid 32.99 instead of the 28.99 I should have paid for the cake I ordered. The online ordering should work! And if for some reason it doesn't, it should be made right and I don't think that happened today. I am overly frustrated that I paid more than I should have and that it took so long with no customer service at all. They did not care that I waited an hour. They did not try to accommodate for the situation. And their prices should match online! I am fairly certain he charged me for the 10 inch cake by saying all he could charge me for was a blizzard cake when it is clearly not a blizzard cake. We have been here before when they said all they could make were mini blizzards because they didn't have cups, they have had times where they didn't have ice cream, and now this. I am officially done. We will go elsewhere from now on!!!! read more

I've always really enjoyed Dairy Queen in Quinlan, but tonight I'm extremely disappointed. We ordered (4) tacos, and only recieved (3). I noticed before we left that we were missing an order of fries,so they gave them to me. The girl at the drive through window mistakenly charged my card for the order behind me,but did correct it, in (2) charges to my card. My goodness, I wish we would have went anywhere else, tonight it was just frustrating. It costs so much now days to eat out, and this simply was not worth the aggravation. read more

Dairy Queen - Fast Food Near Me - Royse City, Texas

I remember going to Dairy Queen when I was growing up and my whole loved going there and ordering the hunger buster and afterwards ordering a dilly bar; it was the best of times. Omg! This Dairy Queen in Royce City has to be the worst of the worst since I've moved this way I've gone a few times and I swear every time I'm so disappointed the meat on the hamburgers are dry and the buns as well. I will never go to this location again! Never. Worst Dairy Queen read more

I gotta start off by saying thanks to Lareon Williams, Mans is the most hilarious. dude in the area I'm talking had us dying of laughter, as while for our Food since there was an delay he promoted us with something which made up for the wait but overall we enjoyed our experience food was very good , we can't wait to come back ! read more

I LOVE DQ but haven't been to this one, after living here two years because of the reviews were bad. Today we went in and found out why. Our order took almost 30 minutes (which didn't upset me, because I get them possibly being short staffed) and we had to to get it togo because our kids were getting restless and I didn't want them to disturb anyone else trying eat. The girl at the register acted like asking for a Togo bag was an inconvenience, and I asked nicely and didn't complain about the wait time so I'm not sure why she felt the need to toss the Togo bag at me. The food was good atleast, but the girl ruined the experience for us honestly. read more

We came here at 10:45 pm. There was someone inside but they never answered us so we pulled up to the window along with another car. After knocking on the window a person finally looks out and says they are closed. We asked what time they close and he said 10. HOWEVER, the hours say 11:00 pm. So he was lying. read more

This is the worst place for drive-thru service! Very poor management! This person needs to be replaced ASAP! There's seriously no need to be line for over an hour just for freaking ice cream! Will not be coming back here ever! read more

Kind of weird situation. Ordered $35 worth of food. Order came with standard two drinks. Family favorite meal, steak fingers with two, #6 Dudes. Ask to substitute both drinks for a small blizzard. Was told no, but I could download an App for a free small blizzard. Wow...ok. no thanks. Food as Dairy Queen typical. I like a lot anyway. Service was polite. Place is clean. I'm a hound for the Dilly Bars. Got a box in the freezer all the time. I'll be back...again and again. read more

I recently came into this Dairy Queen coming from greenville , and while so I ordered 2 blizzards during this time I asked the manger which was the manger named deeana she had an attitude then forced an empolyee Which was unprofessional the way she spoke to him. Overall I waited about 14 minutes just for 2 blizzards and the manger was disrespectful, recommend going to rock wall Dairy Queen the wait time was very fast plus everybody was nice . read more

Horrible service. Four or five kids working there won't attend to people. There were people waiting in line for 15-20 mts to get ice cream. They don't acknowledge your existence. They walk past you and not take your order read more

I ordered a small soda and gave the woman at the counter a $10.00 bill. She gave me change like I had given her a $5.00 bill. I was ripped off on the change. I went back into the store to tell her that I did not get the right change, she wanted to argue with me and said "we can just look it up on the camera." I did not have time to argue with her. Next time I will take a picture with my phone of what bill I am handing an employee. She basically got a $5.00 tip for herself by ripping me off. read more

Not great service. They rung our order wrong - a bacon cheeseburger instead of the chicken basket, and when we brought it up to them we still had to pay for the chicken. Forgot other parts of our order we just ignored it. Not worth the hassle. read more

This place should not be open for people to eat at, everything is wrong with this Dairy Queen. I have gotten food that looks and tastes like it wasn't even cooked and every single time I have gone there my order is so wrong. I got a hunger buster meal and 3 tacos from doordash and when I looked in the bags there was just 9 tacos. I ordered a taco salad, it was smushed and upside down. The meat didn't taste edible, no one should go here because people could get sick from eating not fully cooked meat or chicken. The customer service is a whole other story, the people that work there don't care about customers, the manager doesn't care that the employees mess up everything and are rude to people. So disrespectful and i really hope it gets either née owners or shut down. read more

This is the worst DQ IN Texas! The wait for food, even ice cream is the worst. The employees that work here are incompetent and will not get your order correct. I would avoid this DQ if possible........ While writing this review I, received my order and it was wrong. I tried to explain the issue to the young lady. She in turn argued with me and told me " you should have ordered something different". These are the kind of people preparing your food. The manager was no help as she was upset by the way I was apparently talking to her horrible employee. I waited over 20 minutes for a few blizzards and they couldn't even get that correct. This DQ is well worth avoiding. Make the longer trip to Rockwall or any other DQ in the State of Texas, even the Quinlan DQ couldn't be as bad. read more
