Went there last Wednesday at about 8pm. The store was clean and the service was great. I can't remember the young lady's name that served us. She had dark hair and was the main cashier. She was so kind and professional. I had my three grandchildren with me. The youngest being 2 yrs old. She got our order and made sure it was correct she brought everything out to our table. The napkin dispenser was empty but she brought us napkins. This is excellent service, nice to see from young people. Thank you, we'll be back. read more

We needed something to take our minds off the Texas heat, so we went to the Diary Queen on Landa St. Walked in to a friendly greeting by Kasin and the manager. Ordered a Chocolate dip cone, mini blizzard, and a small sundae and sat outside on the patio. I look forward to coming back to this location, great service, and delicious treats. DQ is one of my go to places but not after today. A milk shake so thin it was like milk. Steak fingers needed more than 1 gravy. No fries only onion rings which did not order. I just had the worst meal in quite a while. First was the menu. DQ has be advertising a Pollock basket. We called in to be sure and were told they had it. They also had Honey BBQ chicken on their on line menu. When we order the Pollock the cashier said they did not have it. After checking with some one they said they did. We ordered the Pollock and BBQ Chicken baskets. When the order came I had 4 of the worst looking dried up chicken strips, no BBQ When I inquired was told that was only at certain locations and was given two small packs of BBQ sauce. The fish was more breading than fish. For sure we will not be choosing DQ in the future. read more

This place is okay. It's hit or miss if the food is hot and fresh (lately it's been miss), and every few times they seem to mess up the blizzard order...it's on the menu- what's to mess up?? It doesn't matter if it's somewhat busy or you're the only car there. I can't understand it- management needs to train the employees better. read more

This DQ on Landa Street charges $3.00 for a large iced tea but they don't offer lemon. No slice of lemon, not even a tiny sealed packet of lemon juice (which is the standard for most drive throughs). It probably costs them around 15 cents to fulfill this order, which leaves them taking in $2.85 profit. Come on DQ, do the right thing and provide your customers with lemon. I have been to a lot of Dairy Queens throughout the US but this one on Landa Street in New Braunfels is the absolute worst. We tried them for the first time to order a hot fudge Sunday. I like a lot of fudge so I always ask for extra. There was very little on it. When i gave it back to ask for more the employee said that because it's hot it melts and looks like there is less. Even the ice cream was not filled in the cup. We tried once more and ordered the chicken strips. I usually enjoy them from D.Q. I've even told several people that D.Q. Has some of the best chicken strips of any fast food place. This D.Q. Is the exception. The chicken strips were dry and mostly breading, hardly any chicken. I ordered the basket. The fries were not hot and very dry and hard. If I wasn't so tired I would have taken it back. A 6 piece basket for $11.90 that was a complete waste of money and they served it with hot white gravy instead of dipping sauce. read more

This rating is only for their ice cream and treats. We have never had their food. All things frozen and cold are great. Our go-tos: Banana Split Blizzard and Reese's. Love that they have a mini size!! You can NEVER go wrong with a dipped cone. Why are those always amazing!! I even love their little frozen popsicle treats like the stars!!! We always make an effort to stop here for an ice cream craving. read more

Wish I could give 0 stars. Never written a yelp review before but this was a pretty bad experience. I ordered a chocolate ice cream cone dipped in chocolate. They gave me a vanilla dipped in chocolate so I pulled back around and told them politely they got my order wrong. The guy on the intercom was fine but the girl working the window saw me pull around and turned around inside and said "why is this b**ch at the window again" thinking I couldn't hear her. She then opened the window and said nothing to me while taking the wrong cone and giving me my new one. Not one apology. Worst service and professionalism I have ever experienced in any business. Dairy Queen should really look closer at who they are hiring and how they treat their paying customers. I won't be visiting this establishment again. read more

This restaurant treated us poorly on a Friday night. We went for a hamburger and ice cream. They were turning the lights off on us and not being polite. They really did not have any customer service. If they didn't want to serve us due to the lateness-they could have said we are not taking any more orders. In my short amount of time spent in New Braunfels, I realized there are more Dairy Queens within a 5 mile radius than in all of San Antonio. If there were this many DQ's within driving distance of me, I'd be seriously screwed. When we came through this location for a blizzard for the drive back to SA, we found out they were out of pecans, a key ingredient in each blizzard we wanted. Also, the drive through is pretty old school, with no loud speaker on the menu, so you actually have to drive to the person at the window for them to take your order - gasp! It seems like this causes a time issue, as we ended up just going inside to order instead of waiting in the standstill drive through line. They were super friendly inside, and although this isn't fancy or modern or updated like the newer DQ in town, I much prefer the nostalgia of the old-fashioned version. read more

Then the food, the fries were overly fried and my grilled chicken sandwich was so crispy I couldn't bite through it. Sadly I will not return. Apparently, it's a 79 cent up charge if you want the hot fudge on top of your blizzard and not mixed in. You'd think it would be fine, since it's less work for them not to have to mix it in. Also, bad attitudes come for free here. Pretty sad. read more

This restaurant will get your order right about 50% of the time. The staff is lazy and clearly does not pay attention to the customers. I've gone back repeatedly because I like the food....but it's a gamble on if my order will be right. Even when you repeat your order 3 times in the drive thru. The management is clearly lacking in their ability to train employees there. I ordered the waffle cone blizzard treat from the menu. The picture (and every time I have ordered it before) has a blizzard in a chocolate dipped waffle cone. So when the young man at the window went to hand me an un-dipped waffle cone I said that is not what I ordered and the cone should be dipped. He turned to look at the manager who mumbled something and turned back and said they were out. I explained all he needed to do was dip the waffle cone in the hard shell chocolate. The manager then proceeded to say that she didn't charge me for a dipped cone and they can't dip it once the blizzard is in it. I explained that I ordered what was on the menu and that is what I expect to get. She then stated that I didn't order it right. Again, ordered exactly what was on the menu! So, I just asked for a refund due to her poor customer service. So, instead of just fixing my order, she gave me a refund. Wow...very bad example of customer service. Oh yeah, and when I asked who the owner was she would not tell me and just said she's not here. read more

Horrible customer service. They don't love their customers so I'll never return. They'll try to rip you off if you're paying cash so be cautious and watch them on the 2-1 blizzard deals because they'll try to charge you for something to make it up for it. I'm not sure why I went back to this DQ. It's over priced and the quality is horrible. I got the chicken basket and can't eat the chicken it's completely dried out. When I asked for ranch they wanted to charge me because there was already gravy with it. I had to give them back the gravy so I could get some ranch. The only reason I will go back is to return this meal and get my money back. read more
