Best way to improve this place is to shut it down and put in a vending machine for Hagen-Daz or another brand. Terrible service and not sure what's in the ice cream but it's not dairy from cattle. Not sure how small a small is but the medium does a good imitation of one. I've driven through the drive-thru once or twice a year for several years and service has always been poor but the food has gotten worse each time. Took two bites out of my blizzard and tossed in the sink just had a funky taste to it. Turned on the water and it didn't dissolve like normal ice cream either. According to the young lady serving us, it is Dairy Queen's policy to not fill the cups anymore. So if you order a medium, you're most likely going to receive the same amount of ounces a small cup would be if actually full. Feeling ripped off. Feb 4, Pull up to the menu board see an ad for pecan pie blizzard, going to order two of them. Get to the speaker, sign says please pull forward speaker broken. After 30 minute wait behind 4 cars finally get to the window only to be told that they don't do the pecan pie blizzard anymore. What in the serious hell? Who Runs this dump? Came here first and third week of January and they were OUT OF ICE CREAM!! You can't take down last months ads? This is the WORST Dairy Queen in the entire country. Third time is NOT a charm. It is a little more of a drive but there is a MUCH better Dairy Queen at River and La Cholla. Baskin Robbins and their 31 flavors at Ina and La Cholla and Walmart Market, Safeway not to mention other countless places to get ice cream all within two miles of this dump. NEVER EVER AGAIN at this Dairy Queen. Since you seem to NEVER have ice cream or advertised items, why don't you do the neighborhood a favor and just close your doors? P.S. After a hot day of hard work, we thought... let's get ice cream! We're new to the area so we looked up the closest DQ. My husband and I used to love getting tropical blizzards, but they are long gone. After this visit, I think a lot of what made dairy queen amazing is also long gone. It wasn't that the blizzards we ordered were bad; they were okay. Mine was Oreos + Vanilla ice cream. Nothing special. On a sliding scale of where to go to get ice cream DQ no longer tops the list. Dairy Queen is now ... I don't want to say it ... boring!!! They could easily breathe some life into the menu by bringing back some personalization. The brand feels too corporate and less "let's go get ice cream" fun. Maybe that's the crux. Dairy Queen has been around so long we compare what Dairy Queen was vs. is now. Waited in the drive thru for over 25 min for 2 cones and 2 Blizzards. Then tried to be given a chicken tender meal box instead of our ice cream order. Clearly our order was lost after we paid. Apparently the gal who took our order left shortly after we paid her and our order left along with her. DO NOT EAT HERE! The girl working the drive thru was not wearing a mask. She had a runny nose because you could hear her sniffle. She sneezed, did not cover her mouth and did not change her gloves. About two weeks ago I had a really bad experience here and was not going to come back. The lady who I didn't get her name kept getting exasperated at the machine she was working on to overwhelmed at the amount of customers and kept telling the customers inside store.She had a line waiting and kept disappearing and even went out to smoke leaving us in there. We waited 45 minutes for one order that was a blizzard! Tonight I decided to go again with my hubby and we visited and Monica was the girl who waited on us. She was awesome attentive and got our order to us fast! The customer ahead of us had ordered a cake special made gluten free and it was for her daughter's graduation and they completely messed it up even the name and this young girl took time to listen as there cake person was off and called her manager and then offered to not charge her and apologized. read more

Been to this location twice. Both after dinner - sometime between 8pm and 9pm, which I feel like is a normal time to seek ice cream. They claim they are open until 10pm. Both times I was told they are not serving any ice cream because the machine is down. I maybe understand once, but twice? Ice cream is your bread and butter. Stinks of a lazy staff closing early. If you want to close at 8pm, just do it and don't waste my time in the drive through! This is my go to ice cream spot! I love that there is a drive through. It can be a little bit of a wait when the weather warms up. I think everyone wants their ice cream or drinks. I really like going to this one since they have food as well. You can also go in and eat. I always keep coming back. You can pass it not knowing it is there since it is attached to a gas station. I would drive pass it for the longest time before I realized there was a Dairy Queen right there. read more

Went up to the door which had all the lights off and the door was locked. It was 6:45pm and it said they were open on the sign. They were all just sitting at a table and didn't even bother to get up or anything. Even the drive thru sign was turned off so there was no way of knowing that there was one to begin with. Great Customer Service! The girl that helped us was very friendly and efficient. We were a rather large group and there was a group of about twenty that came in about ten minutes before us we figured out and we only had to wait about seven minutes for our food. I ordered a birthday cake online and when I went it to collect it a day later on time at 3pm they told me they had no record of the order and they had lost more of them in the day. The staff were friendly enough but no really empathy. I then spoke by phone to the manager who had taken off already - then it got really bad as there was no sympathy, no apology. She blamed the software and said she had reported it - though that somehow would make me feel better! If this store relies on her to lead customer service then they are in big big trouble. This is literally the slowest drive thru experience I have every been thru in my life. The worst part is I am blocked in. Every person comes up and orders, then its about 5 min when they return for the next car saying, "I apologize for the wait what can I get you?" The last 5 cars have gone thru this. We enjoy DQ products. On Thursday (5/21/20), I called ahead and asked if the employees wore facemasks. I was told yes. When I got there, all but one employee had a facemask BUT they wore them below their noses and mouths. Please don't tell people that you are wearing facemasks if you aren't using them correctly. Facemasks do no good if they don't cover your nose and mouth and aren't fit around the chin. We were disappointed. read more

I'm finding out now there are new owners and Its upsetting to see the service change! I had arranged a party for Saturday am and had ordered a cake but due to a family emergency the night before I was not able to call till the next morning to cancel the order, the lady on the phone with me was nice and sympathetic, but today I get a call saying are you going to pick up your cake and even after I explained that I called and said there was a family emergency it didn't matter the response with attitude given to me was " there was no message about that well I guess were stuck with it then" I mean come on a cake really can cause a pissy attitude considering it didn't have a name on it just a basic cake that would resell! I mean how is it a customers fault that a message wasn't relayed and furthermore no family emergency is easy to deal with and this was uncalled for! Hats off to the Team at this DQ!! I special ordered an ice cream cake about a week before Mother's Day online. This was a surprise cake from my kids to mom. On Mother's Day just before I went to pick up the cake, I decided to call first to make sure it was ready. Somehow the order was lost and they didn't make the cake. I was a little stressed at this point. The nice lady that helped me on the phone realized how important this was, she stepped up and did a rush order to make the exact cake i ordered. Great customer satisfaction!!!! The minute I arrive, I receive a very nice and apologetic text message from Scott the general manager!!! This stuff just don't happen much anymore. We have gone three times... different times and days. The service only gets worse. It takes on average an hour to get your ice cream. When you get up to the window there are way more than enough workers inside with no sense of urgency and they never can remember simple orders. To top it off their blizzards suck! They don't mix in the toppings; they all end up at the bottom. In addition the ice cream is completely melted by the time you even get it because you have to sit there so long. We waited at least 20 min in line and there were only 2 cars in front of us. This DQ in particular is always way slower than others. I realize they serve food, but even when we get up to the window we have to wait forever. My cookie dough blizzard barely had any cookie dough in it and it was not mixed in well at all. I did not get one bite with cookie dough until the very bottom. My boyfriend's Mint Oreo blizzard was not green like the image on the menu, but we still had hope that it would be mint. However, it did barely tasted like mint at all. We were very disappointed. I understand that these are changing times. I have been going to this Dairy Queen for a long time. I was told a while ago they got new owners. Since then, I have noticed nothing but downhill service. I went a couple weeks ago and waiting 30 minutes in the drive thru and this time was no different. I waited in the drive thru for 35 minutes just for our 2 blizzards. In fact when we got to the window they didn't even have our order. It had not been made yet and we were asked to pull around and wait for it. I don't usually complain, but this was absolutely ridiculous. There was a complete lack of teamwork, urgency, and organization with the workers. The worker could not hear us we had to repeat our order 3 times, after that we were asked a 4th time. Somehow they still did not get our order in the system. Maybe there system needs work or the equipment is not up to par but it was terrible. I don't understand how on earth it takes 30+ minutes to make an ice cream. In that time I could've walked back there and made one myself. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt but I don't think I will be coming back. read more

We decided to drive through tonight and the website stated they closed at 10 The car in front of us they took their order at the marquee and then closed the speaker off even though it was only 9:58 Then we had to wait in the 20 minute line because we were blocked in on both ends of the drive through and he handed the car in front of us their ice cream, and locked the windows. ZERO STARS because that's the worst service I've ever experienced. Edit: dear Dairy Queen. If you are really "always listening to your fans" which I'm not sure I would even want to be called a "fan", then you need to give more CS training and get a better system in place for drive thru closures. Tried ordering here on door dash they keep canceling every order. Now they have no items on their menu in the app. I've contacted door dash and they told me that it was the restaurant canceling the order not them. Apparently they're gonna try and reach out to the restaurant to figure out what the deal was but honestly after seeing other reviews I'm extremely disappointed with this Dairy Queen's standards.
