Very expensive for what they serve. We went earlier this week and ordered two medium chocolate dipped cones and it was just under $10. The ice-cream did not even cover the entire cone! There was about a 1/4 inch space between the side of the cone and the ice cream. Very disappointing to pay that much for two medium cones and get so little. We will NOT be going back. read more

The service was decent nothing to brag about. But the quality of the product was quite saddening. Ordered a large Oreo blizzard, nothing fancy very simple. As I was enjoying it on my drive home it was really good, then all of a sudden the Oreo had just stopped abruptly. Went through the drive through tonight and ordered a medium peanut butter cup blizzard. What a disappointment! The blizzard instantly started leaking all over me because it was melted and the bottom had been punctured through so I needed to eat quick or risk more of it being all over me/the car and after a couple of bites in I took a bite into a piece of a wrapper, at this point I'm irritated because the price for a medium was $6.60 and I didn't get to enjoy it. Stopped in a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday night @7:30pm. Drive thru was jammed so we decided to go inside. Place was fully staffed and although it was very busy it appeared that the crew was working well together and they were cranking out the orders fast. When its busy like that you have to expect things won't be perfect (if you have ever worked in the food industry) but we got our order in quick and it was ready faster than times when a location is dead. Staff was awesome, inside was clean, employees were happy and yeah the blizzards were awesome. Great job to the management at this location for being staffed properly :) read more

Last time I was in San Tan Valley, I scoped out the Dairy Queen, but it was already closed. So, I decided that on my next visit to San Tan Valley I had to get some. This Dairy Queen is pretty popping meaning that they get good business. I went with my sister and brother and I didn't want to get out of the car. Luckily, they do have a drive thru. However, I didn't realize that there were 2 cars in front of us. Compared to some places their drive thru went really fast. I was even surprised by what they offered on the menu. I did know that they had food options, but I didn't know that it was an extensive selection of food. At the moment, you can even order pulled pork sandwiches and they do look delicious! Even though they had a good selection of food, I came here to get some ice cream. I had to get a blizzard. At the moment, the flavor of the month is mint oreo. I love mint! So, I had to get it! I love the concept of blizzards. They mix in these different ingredients and viola! a blizzard is born. However, the fun part is that they give you the blizzard upside down first to let you know that nothing is going to come out. I'm still amazed by that! That is some ice cream science for you! Ate inside and they were very fast and clean. The bars they make pre done that are frozen are sooo expensive! Maybe 17.00 of something for 4 bars ! My friends and I went to this location after working last night. We got there at 9:45, and waited in like for about 10 minutes. My husband, who met us there, was first in line, then one of my friends. After that, the girl walked away from the cash register and never came back. Two of my other friends were still in line waiting to purchase their things, as well as a few other people. Finally, one of them asked to be served and the young girl said "Sorry we're closed". Another lady was behind us waiting in line. My friend who had successfully ordered waited 10 minutes for his blizzard and went back inside to check on it, in which they told him that they forgot about it. This was extremely rude considering we'd all been waiting in line and inside since before we were closed. So those of us that got our ice cream were sitting at the outside chairs and up until 10:50 and had agreed that since they closed at 11, we would leave at 11. The kid who was mopping the floor came outside and had asked us when we were gonna leave because he had to take the chairs inside. We said, "about ten minutes, is that ok?" We go to this Dairy Queen quite often and each time something is wrong. We went earlier this evening to get a couple blizzards and last time they forgot the main ingredient in the caramel fudge cheesecake blizzard, the cheesecake. When we went today we were hopeful everything would be okay we asked for extra everything in the blizzard and after we had gotten back home and started eating had we realized they had ONCE AGAIN forgotten the cheesecake we are very disappointed and unsatisfied with this Dairy Queen and the way they send out their products. read more

So I went to Dairy Queen and their game of fame is supposed to be turning the blizzard upside down or it's free. Well I watched the two cars before me not get theirs turned upside down so when it was my turn I ordered a pumpkin pie one and when the young guy gave it to me it wasn't turned upside down so I said well since you didn't turn it upside I guess it's free because that's whAt your sign says. The kid says oh no that's not for the pumpkin pie one because of the whipped cream and nutmeg will fall off. Hmmm so I said wow so you should change your sign than I said can I speak to your manager so the cashier is telling this other young guy to tell me the same thing he comes over and I say are you the manager he said no I'm the lead, I said ok but I asked for the manager. So than a young lady says she is the manager and I then explain to her she say oh no they should turn them all upside down. I am going to have a talk with him. I said well this should be free right? Since this store is 10 minutes away from my house it's way too close to my house we tend to make a few trips weekly. They are fast, offer good customer service and it's clean. Even when going thru the drive thru the service is quick. I'd say this Dairy Queen is doing a great job! read more

Consistently disappointing DQ. The kids who work there have apparently never been taught how to make ice cream cones. Not that it's difficult. I've tried 3-4 times now hoping it was just an off kid. No luck. Order a large cone and you get a skinny bit of ice cream on a huge cake cone. I've had cones all squat and misshapen. Gotta say. Disappointing for a place that should be able to make an ice cream cone. Given the number of similar reviews regarding quality problems I can only assume the people who run this location just don't care. I'm sure they save money when the kids short the cones. And frankly, a PR person canned response to this review isn't even remotely adequate. The problem needs to be addressed with training. The site could also use an actual adult onsite at some point. It appears to be run by teenagers pretty much all the time. So save the lip service apology. Go fix the problem. read more
