Just had the Limited Edition Girl Scout Thin Mint blizzard at this DQ and really enjoyed the flavor. While I like some of the other flavors, they tend to be too sweet and I can only eat them in small quantities. Thin Mint was just right and I ate the entire cup! The Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Blizzard was pretty good, I'm just a huge fan of cookie dough. The Brownie Batter Blizzard is initially good after two bites, you realize it's way too sweet and you feel sick. Not a fan although the Hubs enjoyed it and finished all of it! My husband and I stopped in for two soft serve cones with sprinkles. I ordered a small with rainbow sprinkles and he ordered a medium. My husband prefers chocolate sprinkles which DQ did not have. Crazy...The amount of ice cream was the same for both and the ice cream was a melting blob on top of the cones. No iconic Dairy Queen shape here. Staff was super friendly. They did not rush us out, even though the place was close to closing soon. Great variety of ice cream. I bought the Snicker Doodle cookie dough, which seemed to have too much cinnamon in it. Still, if this is your thing, then I would recomend you try it. It seems that it will only be around for a limited time. Other than that, the seating is akin to any fast food restaurant I've been to in the area. There's a little cozy seating outside, which is nice in the summer months or when I want to get a fresh breath if air. The place is located on a busy intersection, so definitely watch your kids and make sure they don't run around too far! This Dairy Queen has been at the corner of 52 and 300 for years. I remember coming here when I was younger. The store had recently been remodeled. There is a drive thru at this location. The drivethru is not the greatest design wise. Hard to get in and out of. There is seating inside of the DQ and outside of the DQ. They have a little legit area for kids. That's kinda cool. As far as ice cream. Ice cream is good here. I'm not a huge ice cream person to begin with. I normally like to support the local ice cream places. But the menu at this DQ had everything you would want from ice cream. This time I went I got the coco brownie blizzard. This blizzard was really chocolate. I ordered a small. It was $5. The small is a lot of ice cream. I don't know how anyone can eat a whole med or large blizzard. The ice cream was made fast and it tasted good. The kid taking the order had a rude tone the whole time, almost as if inconvenienced that I ordered. Finally pay and it takes forever....,ok its made fresh I can understand that. But there is 7 kids standing around just carrying on in conversation amongst themselves like there is no customers waiting, and 1 on their cell phone. He finally hands me my order and just shoves it out the window and closes it, no have a nice day no your welcome after I said Thankyou have a nice day. I dont know if its because they have a bunch of kids working here with no work ethic but the customer service has me only going to cherry top for now on, and its further away. This one has the typical young and awkward staff, long lines in the summer and the basic array of frozen treats. Visiting family in the Hudson Valley during one of the hottest weeks of summer warranted a couple of visits here. My go to is the small vanilla cone. Simple, yummy and taste is the same no matter what DQ you visit. What gives this locations extra stars are the ample indoor seating, drive thorough ordering plus the standard counter ordering AND a fairly large lawn area with picnic tables. It was fun to have all the little nieces and nephews running around playing after our dessert and for the adults to enjoy some time outside in the evening in the picnic area. I consider this location a "deluxe" DQ in comparison to some of the smaller ones on the West Coast. read more

What do I get, a cheesecake blizzard with strawberry sauce and gummy worms. I was going to eat it until I bit into a gummy worm, YUK. I then went inside to exchange for what I originally ordered. I get my vanilla ice cream with what I believe were the shavings or bottom of the barrel Heath. It had two little chocolate pieces in there. Both times the dairy queen employee who answers the phone confirms the special will is on. Both times when we try to buy the sundays for the special price. The sale is declined by the employee. After waiting in a very long drive through line, I hear the car in front of me trying endlessly to place his order . He had to repeat his order four times for them to get it. Now comes my turn, I place my order it's literally one item. I was asked to repeat the order three times and I suggested that maybe they were having problems with their Mic. The girl on the other end told me it was and I quote " not their problem if they could not hear me". I decided to pull forward and tell them in person what I would like. As I'm looking inside the window through the drive-through I see for young girls laughing, on their phones, talking and no one actually working. I sit there for a total of seven minutes before anyone even notices I'm at the window. The girl opens the window and asks me what I ordered (AGAIN!) I tell her and also suggest that maybe they should let their manager know they were having problems understanding the customers through the drive-through I receive a dirty look and the window shut on my face! I pay get my order And notice the order is not only wrong there's no whip cream that I requested. As I'm eating the ice cream I start chewing something hard to the point it hurt my tooth. I take it out of my mouth and it is literally a wood splinter! I can't even complain because when I tried to call no one picked up and I could not go through the drive-through or inside because they closed. I've had numerous problems with this Dairy Queen in the past, wrong orders and kids running the show with no management obviously around or proper training Not to mention their high prices. i went there with my friend today, 4/10. i got the cookie fudge stuffed al mode and the mixed berry smoothie. the cookie was baked fresh and was soft and the fudge inside was hot and oozing out when i cut into the cookie, the soft sever vanilla ice cream was awesome as always. the mixed berry smoothie was refreshing and really sweet. i think the service was good, i asked for the small smoothie for the happy hour, and they told me that its over with the promo, but give it to me, considering they still have the sigh up for it, so i was happy they honored it. will hit them up for a summer fixes soon. read more
