I ordered a cookie dough blizzard... but I think they should change the name to 'Flavorless watered down vanilla ice cream with two pieces of cookie dough" that would be more fitting. First of all I was completely iced out by the cashier. Listen, I understand you Might hate ur job, but even my non verbal 6 year old daughter could carry conversation better then this lady. Oh and god forbid you ask for a water cup. The ice machine was Broken and I don't know if this lady just thought I was so hooligan who wanted to fill my water cup with like sprite, but she gave me no ice???? She seemed like she just ate some shrooms in the break room, she was frantic and quite honestly sweating. Seem like they work only 1 order at a time. Definitely not Fast Food ... I'm assuming they only have 1 employee doing everything. The inside is closed and the drive through takes a looong time. We gave up waiting and there were 2 cars at the window, plus 1 guy in front of us waiting to give his order. We waited no less than 15 minutes and left, so I'm assuming the entire process to get your food will take 20-30 minutes if you're willing to wait. I understand it's hard to get help and I am patient to a point, but this has been like this for way too long. Hope they can find a way to improve because we do love DQ! read more

That's what I like about Texas! Stopped in here for some ice cream on a hot day. Settled for some Blizzards in the drive-thru. This drive-thru offers the standard Blizzards, plus some ones that I'd never seen before. I got the cotton candy flavor, which indeed did taste like cotton candy, but had the consistency of Nerds in there. It was pretty good! When serving the Blizzards, the clerk did the obligatory holding the Blizzard upside down before handing them over. I've heard that if they don't do it, it's free! Haven't scored a free one yet though. They provided plenty of napkins, which was appreciated. The line took quite some time to get through. They worked rather slowly, and the parking lot and exterior of the building were in rather rough shape. The air conditioner seems to leak from the roof and creates a permanent puddle in the drive thru. Fortunately, a giant yellow arrow points you in the direction to the side of the building in case you forget how to use a drive-thru. read more

The staff was nice but their customer service is lacking a bit. They weren't trained on the register and I could see the customers were getting upset. The place wasn't very clean and the food was on the lesser side of the standard. Sadly face mask aren't enforced but it is a smaller Texas town. My brother and I had a 99 cent dipped cone reward in the DQ app. It was quite obvious that the girl working the drive thru was either on the phone or having a conversation with a co-worker and wasn't bothered by the fact that we could hear everything thru the drive thru speaker because we were attempting to communicate with her and it was evident she could hear us as she would only answer us after she finished her response to the other party whom was of greater importance. We asked for one butterscotch dipped cone and she said they no longer offered that flavor. Really???? So then, we asked for a cherry dipped cone. She laughed and said they didn't have that flavor either. So I then asked if it were possible to get the peanut butter sauce instead. She replied with the disrespect a and sarcasm of a young teenager and said, "no, it said dipped right?" I was very tempted to walk inside and let her know exactly what I thought about her customer service skills and lack of training. That's IF she is even trainable. The husband was craving a "dude" we decided to go inside to avoid long drive thru line in hopes of a "quicker" trip. We ordered 3 meals and tacos (we were 2nd in line). After 20min waiting went to ask how long wait for food and rude employee says "we're busy" w no apology or ETA for our food. It gets better.... Terrible customer service! I phoned my order in repeated it 3 times. Get my food drive half way home and decided to pull over to check it. Low and behold it was not correct. Return to the DQ to have the crappy attitude manager Michelle be rude about it. I tell her what I originally ordered and head to my vehicle to wait for it. She walked out to my car to let me know I owe 82 cents. I asked her who was paying me for my gas to have to return to a second time for am order her staff could not take correctly to begin with. Her response was "You, if your hungry. " I got a refund and left as she offered me my now fixed order that I refused as she rudely let me know she was just going to throw it away. In town for a weekend tournament. My wife waited 30 minutes for an ice cream treat on a busy Saturday, then today Sunday I went back for meals. I purchased 7 meals total about $45 worth of food. The window clerk asked me to park in front and they'd bring it out to me. I wait another 40 minutes for my fast food, never got it. The workers had half the order in a bag under a food warmer. I did not want to lose my temper and no one would talk to me at the register. I walked into the kitchen, to demand a refund. And what do I see? The main cashier, a male, handling trash one minute. I was told there was a shift change and that's why my order was taking long, I explained I no longer wanted the food and just wanted the cash back. Cashier throws trash away, grabs another persons order and then gives me me refund. Think about that. Hands on gloves, handles trash, handles food, then handles money. This staff was absolutely Overwhelmed, ownership needs to review management and staff, consider either hiring more personnel or paying higher wages to attract decent employees. The young kids in the kitchen seem like nice kids but the cashier/manager and also the window clerk need help. The kitchen was so gross and dirty with trash and food everywhere. Have some pride ownership, you can do better. You're right across from that nice Antler Stadium, and on a main strip of little Kerrville. It's a money maker. Pay your people and get them some help. Other than that, took my money and drove down to Mickey D's, clean restaurant, food was good, and the employees seemed way happier! The customer service tonight was BEYOND exceptional. My husband and I shared a burger, and she cut it in half for us, just because. The sweet girl at the counter answered several of my questions very graciously. I am beyond impressed. The three women working tonight need a raise. They have been the ONLY people in Kerrville that have so much as smiled at us! :) We have decided that anytime we are near, we will go out of our way to come back to this DQ. :) read more

My wife & I came in this Dairy Queen Saturday, June 14th and ordered $15 worth of burger's, fry's and soda's. We were very nice and pleasant to the workers. We did nothing to piss them off I guarantee you. When we got home we opened up our bag of food. To our amazement, the condition was appalling! It's like the cook or someone intentionally smashed the burgers! I tried to eat it but it wasn't edible! It's like the burger had been made prior and had been frozen. It's like they had been re-heated in a microwave! They were gross. Plus the fry's wasn't even cooked enough. They were mushy! We well never go back to this Dairy Queen again. DQs in Kerrville are terrible. Dirty with unfriendly staff who act like they don't want to be there. The one at 16 & 10 is probably best of the 3 but service is always slow. One on Hwy 27 is the worst. Zero customer service skills. Sign says open till 11pm. At 8:30, staff is stacking chairs on the tables ready to go home. Watched a girl "clean" a series of 6 tables, all with the same dirty rag, no bleach/cleaning solution or anything. Then emptied the trash, carrying the bag across the restaurant as it leaked & dripped yucky water all over the floor. Then left the wet sticky puddle and trail on the floor without cleaning it up.
