I was out running errands with a friend and we were talking about lent and fish sandwiches and so Culver's came up. We were in Kerrville so I said let's go try it out . I have no expectations about the food here - especially fish and chips. Ever since I tasted fish and chips in England many years ago, there's not a place in Texas that comes close to British fish and chips. So, imagine my surprise when this cod fish dinner at Culver's was placed in front of me to eat. Cod is the only fish I will eat for fish and chips. This fast food place has cod! Not only that, for a limited time, they have Walleye fish and chips dinner! I went to town on this fish dinner. Bought one each and took home the walleye dinner for tonight's dinner. Anyway, the fish was cooked almost perfectly - just a little oily but this is a fast food place not a British pub! That first bite was crunchy, hot and surprisingly delicious! I was able to finish 2 of the 3 I had ordered. It came with Cole slaw, a roll and of course French fries. What a surprise that was! As for the walleye dinner, I had to eat it the next day. It got reheated in the air fryer and it came out hot, crunchy and oh, so tasty! Ambiance wise, the place is refrigerator cold. If ever I go back there during lent this year, I will bring a jacket! Overall, I'm very impressed with the food. It's not British pub quality but for a fish and chips place in Kerrville, TX, this was quite a very nice surprise. I would go back there for fish and chips. England across the pond is quite a long way from here for the real fish and chips but I'll take Culver's fish and chips any time the mood hits me. read more

One thing that I love about Culver's is their fries. There's something about a fresh crinkle fry that I love! It was a long time since we have had Culver's, so we chose to eat here! The chicken tenders were okay. I wanted to try them because my friend hyped them up. I enjoyed my burger! Our order was accurate and matched well with a Culver's Root-beer. The staff was friendly and the food was hot. For my burger combo meal and a side of two tenders was $14. It was kind of pricey to me for a fast food joint. I personally just love their frozen custard. The concrete mixers are my favorite with Oreo. I think it's better than an Oreo blizzard from Dairy Queen! That's just my opinion though. I have a severe gluten allergy, so I always call ahead before ordering anywhere. I called Culver's in Kerrville to confirm they could accommodate me, and I was told it wouldn't be a problem. Spoiler: it definitely was. I placed a drive-thru order for a burger with a gluten-free bun. When I got my food, I discovered the burger came with no bun at all. Frustrated, I went inside to correct the problem and ordered a burger with a proper gluten-free bun. The girl at the counter was nice and tried to help, but the kitchen staff were a nightmare. I asked about their cheese sauce because most places use a béchamel, which contains gluten, and I overheard the kitchen staff say, "It's fucking cheese, no it doesn't have gluten," with zero concern for allergies. Completely unprofessional. Then I finally get my food and they've given me a burger with the bun completely separate, zero explanation. I'm sitting in my car having to assemble my own burger like I'm part of the kitchen crew. If you're trying to avoid cross-contamination inside, fine. But tell me that before handing me a deconstructed meal, Overall? Terrible communication from the kitchen, rude behavior, and absolutely no consideration for people with allergies. Tonight we stopped to get a couple burgers and custard. We had drinks at the house and were passing on the fries. There were two cars in that drive ahead of us. It took ten minutes before we ever got a chance to order, and once we did we kept getting "one moment please". Finally we got to the window to the window and it took several minutes before we were greeted. Once we paid they gave us out custard. We resisted temptation to eat it, but... At first I felt like they were understaffed and was trying to be understanding. But the longer we sat there we started to notice things. Two of the staff members pulled up with a couple tray of Starbucks drinks (nothing wrong with wanting something else but it's 6:15 on a weekend where the town is packed (eclipse, Riverfest, chalk). Then I noticed a cook pull up and run in. Was this why our burgers took so long? Finally they asked us to pull forward to wait for our burger. Was a tad concerned that I'd be sitting there a while but finally got our lukewarm burgers to go home and try to enjoy. We had eaten most of our custard by this point and what little was left was melted by the end of the burger. I honesty think that on this particular date the store lacked anyone mature to manage it because I don't think it would have been so terribly run if that were the case. I would not recommend eating at this Culver's. The service was extremely poor. The food took a long time to, close to 30 minutes. There were more food preparers than customers. The restrooms were dirty and had not been cleaned. When we brought the restroom cleanliness to the mangers attention, her response was " they're not that dirty". If the restrooms were an example of the cleanliness level, I can't imagine what the kitchen looks like. I would suggest customers look at the restrooms before dining at this location, then think about the kitchen. My wife and I will no longer have a meal at this Culver's. read more

We ordered dinner here. The sandwiches were cold. My cheese on the mushroom and swiss was not melted, and there were hardly any mushrooms. The bun was dry. The frozen custard had an odd taste, like there were ice crystals in it. Not smooth and creamy like it should be. My daughter got the pretzel bites. The cheese for them was gross and kind of slimy. We were told our food was taking so long because my husbands chicken sandwich got dropped on the floor, so they had to make another one. So, instead of bringing the rest of us our food, they left it to sit and get cold. Even his sandwich, which should have been fresh and piping hot was cold. We will not be back. read more

The food and service was amazing!! I twas given the responsibility of choosing a place to eat on a road trip, and it did not disappoint! We arrived not knowing the menu, and the sweet lady at the register helped us out and let us take our time. We got 3 Mushroom & Swiss burgers and when I tell you.... those were some of the best burgers we had ever eaten. Food was hot and fresh, and the ice cream was delicious as well! Major fail tonight. Waited 31 minutes for 2 concretes & 1 double scoop of the flavor of the day. Finally went up and complained and was told "it was busy". I go to this place very frequently, its a great fast food place with spectacular meals. The service is good and the workers are always ready to help. I will say though, the dining area is always super cold. I am freezing every time I walk in there. Turn down the fans! I love everything about this place but they always seem to get to get my order wrong! All I want is no onions extra curds. I get onions and no curds. This place was really good. I know it's big in the midwest and I thought I'd give it a shot. It stinks that it's not off of i10 but Kerrville is a cute town to drive through. I got the Regular Cheeseburger that was cooked really well. The patty is really thin, so I would recommend getting the double and the meat had a really good seasoning. The crinkle cut fries were also good. The Concrete custard was okay. You pick either chocolate or vanilla and then you can pick toppings. I got the chocolate custard with Oreos and hot fudge. I guess the fudge melted the ice cream because it was a mess when I got it. read more

Let me start by saying that I've been to many Culver's from Arizona to Texas and the burgers are consistently delicious, and as a matter of fact this location may have been the best Culver's ,burger wise that I have visited, and in turn it is also the dirtiest dining area that I have ever visited...there were quite a few people (employees) just standing around, and some employees trying to hide in plain sight. The fountain drink area was filthy and some of the dispensers were out of Pepsi, the actual dining area, was horrible and not ONE clean table and I'm not exaggerating, and there were not many people sitting. The wife and I decided to sit outside, and those tables were also filthy and when I say filthy I mean customers trays left on tables, or just stained tables that had not been wiped clean, so we decided to eat in the car, how can anyone enjoy a meal while viewing nastiness and filth around them. read more

After being disappointed with other stops for food on our road trip , my family and I found on this great place. The cashier was super friendly, I think her name was Misty and she gave excellent service. I went to an establishment like this before in Illinois so I didn't remember exactly what I ordered but Misty was super patient and friendly. We LOVE this Culver's. The staff and friendly and professional. The food is always hot and fresh. The salads are crispy and generous in goodies. Walleye season is an annual treat and tradition. Turtle Tuesdays are our favorites. My only disappointment with Turtle Tuesday is that it's "like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're going to get." Last week our single scoops had bountiful toppings. This week they were literally 4 pecans and almost no chocolate or caramel. I honestly thought it was plain vanilla when it was handed to me. This is a clean place to eat and the service is friendly and helpful. I absolutely crave the walleye basket!! It's a little pricey, but it just melts in your mouth. The burgers!
