She looked like a kid sitting at the table and kicking her feet with glee as she ate her blizzard while replaying the dinner sounds from What About Bob. We both had the taco's, my wife's favorite DQ item for 20+ years and running. The only negative is it's worn out from years of use and the men's room hasn't been cleaned since Jimmy Carter was president. I'm not sure where to start...we love DQs! Blizzards are my husband's favorite so we frequent. THIS LOCATION IS AN EXTREMELY POOR REPRESENTATION OF THE BRAND! We stopped on our way from Angel Fire, NM to Dallas, ordering $30+ in food. No substitutions...wanted to upgrade from the kid meal dessert offerings to a blizzard. Happy to pay the difference, but not an option. Then, we wanted water...25 cents for a small cup and 50 cents for a medium. Have not come across this in Dallas and seems very cheap, To top it off, my mini blizzard was delivered to the table melted. I took it back to the counter and told her that I was used to blizzards being turned upside down when delivered (blizzard fans know what I mean) and this one would fall out of its cup. She apologized and brought a replacement up the table. When I put my spoon in, I hit a large, hard mass...turns out it was a blob of hardened chocolate...bigger than my spoon...just smaller than a golf ball...in a mini!?! Would have cracked a tooth if I had bit into it! Needless to say, next year we will NOT be stopping here. Stopped for 2 burgers for our children. They put jalapenos and jalapeno sauce on the bacon burgers...no bacon. Out of spite I think...here's why.. The drive through menu order stop was not functioning, had to honk to get attention. They waved us to the window and took order and money, then ordered us to drive around and park, when no one was behind us. An employee drove around behind us. Angry employees then ordered us to park again. We should have had our burgers by then. Several calls to their boss and we told them they could give us burgers or our money back. They started to give a refund, then brought out the Jalapeno burgers, saying "Here's the burgers now get out of my drive thru." We took the bag and left so didnt discover this until we were on our way. I've never left a review before, but this one needs to be in the historical record. read more

Went inside, staff had no clue how to process a refund. Finally get a bag of food that had obviously been set out for a while. Onion rings were burnt to a crisp. After 15 minutes we asked about our order (a chicken tender kids meal) we were met with a huff and she walked off. She only spoke to tell us that it took so long because the fries needed to cook. DQ has a very nostalgic feel for me because I grew up in rural Texas towns where the Texas stop sign was a staple of the community. No news that DQ in Henrietta has sucked lately due to management issues primarily.. We went on the 8th for lunch..only three working which was fine, except the guy at the front was slow-paced and emotionless, and took him a long time to so much as get a lady's dipcone. The soda machine must be broken because we tried three or four drinks from it which all tasted like dirt; sweet tea is never changed even every so often. Turns out our tray was sitting on the ledge for 10 minutes; one of the cooks tried saying order out to the guy at front who continued stocking ice instead of taking the customers' food to them. So one of the cooks had to do it himself; I asked if it was our particular tray that was up there for a long time, and said uhh I dunno. Our food was at least warm, except for the fries which were practically freezing cold and greasy. I've been here about 4 times and today I ordered a double cheeseburger. This was the fastest they ever filled my order (about 12 minutes). The service was good today. But, what wasn't good was the food itself. When it's not lunch time you shouldn't pre-cook your hamburger patties. The patties are going to just sit there, and dry out. Thats what I got for $12. Stopped for a Jr. Burger and a small soda. Burger was fine but way too much shaved ice in the soda. Shaved ice takes up more space and less soda is in the cup. Not a good value. I put my order in at the drive thru for some very hungry baseball boys and the lady told me she was swamped and that my order would take 20 minutes at least. I have never seen a Dairy Queen (or any other fast food restaurant) this disgusting. We saw flies everywhere. Is it so hard to clean the dead bugs off the window sills? The men's room smelled horrible. The floor was sticky, and the faucet on the sink was dirty. Add to all of this, I stood in line for a long time while one and only one person working behind the counter was making a whole bunch of Blizzards. There were other people working there, but none of them bothered to help out and take our order. I should have walked out, but I was hungry, and I wanted to just get something to eat before finishing my drive back to Dallas. There was a Sonic up the road. I should have went there.
