Ridiculous prices.

This place is ridiculous expensive. Just keep driving and find anywhere else. A small dipped cone is $7.99.

wouldn't change my order and scammed me

Come here if you want to pay $10 for each small Blizzard--this place is straight-up highway robbery. The staff was super rude and refused to change my order when I asked for minis instead of smalls, basically forcing me to pay for something I didn't want. Why am I dropping $40 on ice cream? Feels like they're trying to scam people here. terrible experience

Our half unmixed blizzard

I didn't think it was possible to mess up a blizzard, but we ordered a large cotton candy blizzard and the bottom half was not mixed. So I basically ordered half a cup of vanilla soft serve. Also, not sure if this is a new thing across all DQ, but they had a lid on top when they delivered it, which defeats the point of turning it upside down. At least they have a bathroom, but the decor is a bit strange inside,

Churro Dipped Cone

Stopped here on the way to Vegas for a quick ice cream treat. My go to is a dipped cone, and this location was offering a Churro Dip, so needed to give it a try. It was the best dipped cone I've had in a long while. Stop by this location for a dip that's worth the stop. Plus a clean restroom!

Still eating chocolate sundae and fries.

Showed up at about 9pm, food was delicious and fresh. My kids loved their sundaes. I loved my burger and onion rings.

Mini is the perfect size!

I had no problems here like other reviewers. We went through the drive through were the 2nd car in line so not much of a wait. Our blizzards were made correctly. They did give me a little bit of a hassle about the yelp check in (10% off) but ultimately they accepted it.

Melted blizzard

The employees should know that we can see into the kitchen from the drive thru window. With that being said we are camping at calico ghost town (no one is around) we decided to go out for an ice cream treat.... first off the young lady at the window had her mask under her nose and when she talked it fell below her mouth. As we waited and watched we saw the same employee grab fries bare handed and drop them in the fryer (at least grease should help kill off any germs) then she touched some other food bare handed. Came to us grabbed our money then handed us our blizzards. Safe to say we didn't eat our ice cream. If the employee at the window talks to us without covering her face what do you think they are doing when we are not looking? Needless to say we did not eat our treats. I told my husband not to pay and just leave but he felt bad. If I was driving we would've just left

Good food, but not necessarily kept up very well. Right off of the highway is convenient but heavily trafficked.

It's one of those places to stop on the way to Vegas. Since it is a 50's diner theme, might as well check it out what's the hype is all about. The ambiance is I would say very old school (Back to the Future vibe). There's a lot of Elvis and Marilyn Monroe pics and memorabilia in this establishment, which is I'm sold to the hype. They have 50's juke boxes, as well.. so not too shabby! Their service is pretty chaotic at first, but once you get in line.. its smooth sailing from there. The gift shop is pretty much crowded because of the people window shopping or waiting for their diner experience. Their beeper doesn't reach on the outside of the restaurant, so we are forced to stay around the gift shop.. yeah that's sucky part lol. The food is surprisingly good and with a reasonable price. My girl and I ordered their burger combo that got us 2 sides for only $16.. can't complain with that especially on today's economy. Their malts and shakes are the star of any 50's diner theme restaurant. Oh yeah their classic chocolate shake hits the spot. Not too fancy and not too sweet for its ingredients, it just went down to my happy stomach :) Overall, not too bad and I actually recommend this spot to people on the way or back from Vegas to Cali :)

We had the Fabian French Dip and the Huell Hauser teriyaki burger. Both were excellent, the burger was substantial , cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Definitely a great stop for excellent food and fun atmosphere. We bought two pieces of pie but have yet to eat it we are so full.

And the sandwiches were piled high with meat and veggies. Our drinks were just right and always served in a timely manner. It was amazing to watch our fabulous bartender and server keep track of everyone's orders as the place was packed. The cook was fast and awesome! You could taste the care he put in the food, it was way above your average bar fare. Excellent :) Plenty of seating. With a juke box, 2 pool tables and darts you have all you need for an excellent time. Games on the tables, and even a little coloring book for the kids. Super clean and welcoming. I guess it's because he's the only guy there taking orders and making the food. By the time I took a bite of the pastrami sandwich, the wait was worth it. The taste is what you'd expect from a "typical" pastrami sandwich made fresh. I've had some phenomenal pastramis in my lifetime, and when I say "typical", it's a complement.

The one place we go to is the Miners Cafe, it's a tradition. We are welcomed by the friendly staff of Jessica and her family. For the past couple of years the Miners Cafe has been closed and this year we were excited to see that it was open again. But we were sadly disappointed.. The Miners Cafe now has a new owner, and Jessica and her family are not there to great us hello. The Cafe is just a limited, typical burger place with not much flavor. Familiar items like fried pickles and a cold beer are gone. When asked if a simple grilled cheese could be made, we were given an excuse that the staff was slammed and they didn't want to overwhelm the cooked. And when you looked around they had minimal patrons at the establishment. The person taking the order was not very accommodating, and seemed like she was just "over it". We ended up ordering zucchini and onions rings, not much to them and onions rings were just warm, not hot like it does when coming out of the fryer. Needless to say we left the sad, empty Miners Cafe. I am sad to see what used to be a wonderful establishment, become just a place to sit and make eat if you feel like mediocre cold food. What happened to the Miners Cafe we loved? And what happened the past owners who put loved and quality into there establishment? Because it showed with the food and the staff. I am sad to say, this is not place it used to be, hopefully next year it will be better or the old familiar faces will be back
