food and ice cream are always good. BUT - I experience the longest drive through wait times consistently. it's very frustrating.

I visited this location tonight and was deeply concerned by the lack of food safety protocols. Despite having 8 to 10 employees working during a relatively slow shift, not one person was wearing gloves while handling food or ice cream. I brought this to the shift lead's attention, and he confirmed that gloves are required. It is unacceptable that basic hygiene standards are being completely ignored by the entire staff. After spending over $30 on this visit, I expect management to address this health violation immediately. read more

Ice Cream Cakes - Inconsistent I'm writing this review based solely on the ice cream cakes from the Irwin Dairy Queen, as we've ordered them two years in a row for birthdays. Last year's cake (photo included, though admittedly dark) was exactly what you'd expect: generous toppings, plenty of fudge, and a cake that actually held together. The fudge layer was substantial enough to bind the cookie crumble, making each slice cohesive and enjoyable. This year, unfortunately, was a completely different experience. There was so little fudge that the cookie crumble layer literally fell out of the cake when it was cut. The structure just wasn't there, and it felt skimpy compared to the previous year. For an ice cream cake, the fudge isn't optional--it's what holds everything together. What makes this especially disappointing is the price point. The cake was close enough in cost to a Moio's cake that, next time, I wouldn't gamble on whether the quality might be corrected. For that price, consistency matters. We did reach out about the issue, but the response didn't really address the core problem or offer much reassurance for future orders. If you're getting an ice cream cake here, just be aware that the quality can vary significantly from year to year. read more

Went to get ice cream. Tried to pay with $100 bill. Was told they dont accept them. Asked for manager. Another young girl came to window. I found a $20 and gave it to her and asked why they do not accept $100 and tried to u her stand but she THREW my money at me in my car and then said she is refusing service to me and slammed the drive thru window shut. WORST SERVICE EVER! What is wrong with these people? I reached out to the owners but im sure I will not get a response. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! Unbelievable. read more

Great ice cream and service. For special occasions I will always pick up an ice cream cake.

The food was fresh and hot and delicious. It was delivered to our table and actually sat on our table rather than handing it to us, which was really nice. Aaliyazehra Momi was great at the register greeted us with a smile! Please commend her for being such a great person. read more

DQ is know for their ice cream right? So i ordered a Chocolate Malt milkshake. Well the milkshake they gave me was as white as me!! It was basically a vanilla malt milkshake, even though when the lady handed it to she said "chocolate" it was the farthest thing from chocolate. Needless to say I'll never get another milkshake from them again. I'll stick with Kerber's ice cream from now. read more

My husband and I used the drive-thru only. The service was as expected; a small wait, but what would be expected for making our order. We chose this Dairy Queen location instead of another location because the other location had extremely runny, melted ice cream. This location passed the "flip test" and the quality of ice cream has been consistent every time we visit. The woman working the drive-thru was friendly and cheerful. There is ample parking which makes this a great place for groups and sports teams to visit. We will take advantage of the outdoor seating area once the weather warms up a bit. I would recommend this location to friends and family. read more

While the food was good just confused as to why this Westmoreland County location is still not allowing patrons inside their store? We were to the White Oak, PA location which is in Allegheny County and they were open to patrons and that county has significantly higher number of active COVID-19 cases and is the only county to be in the range where face masks are required in schools again. We arrived not aware the location wasn't allowing anyone inside so we figured we would use the DQ application to order, however, the application would only allow vanilla soft serve which nobody in our party wanted. Since we were already at the DQ we circled around and got into the drive thru lane and nowhere did it show if you ordered using their application that you didn't have to go through the drive thru lane that you could immediately go to and park in the mobile order reserved parking spots the two people in front of us had waited in the drive thru lane and were upset since the mobile application instructed them to go inside the store to pickup their orders only to find the doors locked and then after waiting behind at least ten vehicles they learned at the order speaker that they could have just pulled up and parked well let's just say they weren't happy and neither were we since we had to listen to these folks have this explained to them. Either the application needs work to better explain procedures or they need to do a better job on communicating to customers how orders can be placed and picked up when they aren't allowing guests inside. This was also not obvious until you got to their locked doors. While we like DQ this type of dysfunction is not welcome or appreciated. read more

Disgusting...this is the fourth bacon cheese burger I got that turned my stomach in the last 3 months. Called and complained and nothing was done. I got no apology. They one girl posting as manager told me I don't have to listen to you...I am a grown up and hung up one me. I called the corporate office and they can't seem to get these kids to do any better and yet the workers expect 15 bucks and hour to put out this crap.. read more

I have had a very bad experience at this Dairy Queen. I ordered 4 blizzards and they got every one of them wrong. I asked for a Reese's blizzard with chocolate ice cream, but I got one with vanilla and a brownie blizzard with chocolate. Then I ordered an Oreo blizzard and an m and m blizzard and they put those both in one. They were barely blended and there was plain icecream half way from the cup. Each blizzard tasted like the other one clearly they didn't clean off before each use on the machine read more

Very nice staff. Always friendly! Store is clean and at a very convenient location. Food quality is always consistent. Never had any issues.

We feel completely ripped off. We waited over 20 minutes for this garbage. The order should have been perfection. This is NOT the first time I have had problems at this location. These problems were reported to the manager last year and she took no ownership of any of it except to say, "kids work here". Cotton Candy dipped cone coating was oily and watery, melting the ice cream (pouring down cone), not covering all the cone, and tasteless except for a chemical taste. Ordered a large-was not a large. It sat on the counter for several minutes waiting on the Blizzards to be made while workers stood around twiddling their thumbs. Heath Blizzard had NO HEATH and had a huge hollow section in the middle of the cup. There was ice cream and chocolate all over the outside of the cup. The M&M Blizzard had no M&Ms in the top half of the cup and chocolate that should have been mixed in was sitting in the bottom of the cup. Love the buy one get one for 99 cents blizzard sale. In time for report cards. We love the Reese's blizzard. I went through the drive thru they were quick to take my order. My order was done correctly and my time in line was about 7 min. I did get 4 Med blizzard's. read more
