Bathrooms were clean, and so was the restaurant. I enjoyed the pizza, it's exactly like the pizza in the original restaurant. Point off, it was slightly saucy. But I can live with that. Pepperoni was a little light, good amount of jalapenos. They were busy, right at lunchtime but the pizzas were out in about 12 minutes. So overall good job. I was very happy with the experience.

I chalk any wait up to it being made to order vs prepped and just quick heated. Portions are a good size, but heavy on the salt with all the dishes. The space is odd. This review only refers to the location at 2661 APD 40 only in South Cleveland which I've eaten at twice this month and noticed a consistent change from their past sandwiches and an obvious difference between their sandwiches and sandwiches from the other locations. I always order the exact same sandwich and recently the South Clev location has made smaller sandwiches in length, with less slices of meat and cheese per sandwich. I inquired about this change when speaking with other customers recently (not staff or staff's family), and apparently it is due to the owner's new directions regarding sandwich preparation. Each location is franchised by separate owners so this explains the negative changes to this specific Subway. All the other locations I've visited this month have been the normal size with normal ingredient amounts. Their service and staff are still excellent at ALL locations including South Clev, and I haven't asked any of the staff about this change bc it's not any reflection of their service. Just keep an eye open, and let me know if anyone has noticed this as well.

First off, the view is spectacular. This is such a beautiful area. As you would expect a place called "the cookie jar Café" has... Wait for it cookie jars everywhere! It's adorable. Servers were very friendly and food came quickly. Prices were very reasonable. But now the best part, the food. Hubby ordered the country fried steak with a side of mashed potatoes and fried okra. Country fried steak was perfectly cooked crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Very, very flavorful as well. Mashed potatoes were superb. I ordered the sweet tea fried chicken with a side of green beans and fried squash. Pleasantly surprised to see fried squash on a menu. You don't see that very often. The fried chicken was amazing! So flavorful and so tender. Green beans were a flashback to growing up in the country. The fried squash, just plain old yummy. I think my husband must've said "this tastes just like my grandma made" at least eight or nine times during the meal. Although we didn't sample the desserts... way too full, they looked delectable. Maybe next time. There will defiantly be a next time.
