I had no idea this place existed until a family member recommended it. Staff were all super friendly, food arrived to the table with an okay speed. I chalk any wait up to it being made to order vs prepped and just quick heated. Portions are a good size, but heavy on the salt with all the dishes. The space is odd. I attended a rehearsal dinner at Carrabelle's recently. It is a surprisingly large space with a side room great for large parties. The staff were incredibly attentive and food/drinks arrived surprisingly fast for such a large group. I had the steak, the sauce that came on it was SO good. I've been here a total of two times. First time I had a basic hamburger and was not told they only serve well done aka dead hamburgers and it was one of the worst I ever had. This is the first place I've ever been part of a drive by seating. The hostess....and I use that term loosely...asked,"how many" and proceeded to pick up a couple of menus and start walking. Assuming we should follow, we did, and as she walked by a particular booth she dropped the menus and silverware without saying a word, or even slowing down. Impressive skill. Too bad that's the first impression this place likes you to have. I'm guessing they don't waste time teaching customer service skills. Our server was very pleasant and friendly but the food took 20 min to arrive in what appeared to be a slow night. Strike two. I had a burger that was actually not bad. My wife ordered a stuffed chicken breast which turned out to be entirely mislabeled. It was a flat chicken breast with spinach and mushrooms and some kind of onion sauce all on top of it. Not stuffed. The taste was ok but not sure why they would call it stuffed when clearly that's not what they do with it. Overall ambiance was not really much and it was loud. The food wasn't terrible but the experience was less than enjoyable or welcoming so I am sure we'll try another location next time we're in town. read more

Extremely disappointed in this chicken Caesar wrap. It came wrapped poorly with everything falling out, which I overlooked. When I started eating it I noticed how bland and tasteless the chicken was. This is very confusing because the other grilled chicken dishes are seasoned well. It is very hard to mess up a chicken caesar wrap but somehow y'all managed to do so. Cozy sports bar feel, beers and mixed drinks and a wine list. The dragon shrimp was Amazing! Also the blackened chicken and sausage stuffed pork chop, omg! We love Carrabelle's. Never disappointed in the food or the service. All the girls and there are a few guys and they are awesome. Friendly, helpful, want you happy. To start with they have the best dinner salad anywhere. Fresh, crispy, generous and great toppings. It's not too big but it's plenty. I always get one and can barely touch my entree. My husband says their ribs are the best and we lived in Southern California for 45 years and traveled around the country, Texas, Utah, Wyoming, over 40 states and these are YUMMY! Half a rack is GENEROUS! Carrabelle's Philly is a winner. Alfredo pasta is tasty and a big serving. Grilled Atlantic Salmon was not disappointing. The rib eye was good, but hubby says mine is always better. That's because I buy bone in 2" thick minimum, and I grill to perfection, medium rare. I always go home with at least half of any meal. Top it off with any of their desserts. It's a cozy inviting comfy restaurant. I always look forward to going back, lunch or dinner. I wish they served breakfast! See you there soon! read more

Worst service ever. We signed in for a table at 559 this eve and was told it was a 30 to 45 min wait. 5 of us and a 3 yr old.. at 645 next on the list a large table left. We were told that there was a table that we would get when they left. I asked how about the table there in the middle where you large # just left. We have other larger groups coming. I asked to speak to the manager I was told that when the party of 8 left we would be seated so at 715 we are still waiting with that table which is 3 tables together empty. Ordered spinach salad - Ran out of Feta cheese so was going to serve with no cheese ( that's to most expense in this salad ) talked them in to putting cheese on it - wouldn't discount it ? - had to search for the cheese - oh wow . Ordered fresh coffee it was Luke warm ask for another cup never brought it till time to leave. Ask for a to go cup waitress said it was so hot it would melt the styrofoam ? Was in Dayton TN for work. First of all very small town so when the hotel suggested a "local" bar and restaurant I was thrilled. Got there around 430 thinking it would be busy. Not many people, a few locals. They have a good happy hour, I think it 2-6. Had a couple beers then ordered the meatball pizza. I told the bartender I had to go plug my phone in my truck. BAM. She hands me a charger and cord...awskn. Pizza comes. Pretty good. I'm a pizza snob but it was good, not great but good. A few more locals came in. Very fun atmosphere with a good number of TVs. They have a patio that seems popular. All and all good experience and I will be back if I am ever this way. I would like to try more of the food but everyone seemed to enjoy what they had and the staff was excellent. If I make it back this will be my go to place. read more

We have eaten at this restaurant many times before at the Dayton location. The food was descent however I have to give this place a 1 of 5 because of the terrible service we received from the waiter this evening. She was very rude and rolled her eyes at different members of the table on several occasions. Had it not been for the terrible service we received this evening I probably would have rated the place a 4. I brought the issue up to the manager as we were leaving. I told her about the situation. She didn't really seem to concerned. She mentioned she would speak to the waiter about this. She had also confirmed that the waiter was known to have an attitude. With all of the above being said I'm not sure why they would keep a waiter with that mentality on board knowing she has an attitude. It's an indicator of how they do business. All in all the meal was great, service not so great. If you go, good luck. Hopefully you don't get a waiter with the name of Amber. If you do well, you'll figure it out. read more

I don't think my way out to Dayton much but I'm damn sure going to make sure I come to Carabelles when I do. They've been at this location for about a year and I will certainly find my way back here. They serve more or less everything that walks on land and pasta and fish. Their average price for a entrees 10 to 15 bucks. My wife and also started out with their shrimp appetizer and they were very happy to accommodate her particular taste. Meaning they had to put her sauce on the side, so half the shrimp came with sauce half of it did not. But that they were willing to do that and do it correctly meant a lot to her. Our entrees were Stellar, although I can't remember what we got off the top of my head. They had a selection of draft beer but limited due to covid-19. Our server brought a beer menu over that the bartender had crossed off of what they did not have on draft, which was a nice touch. As I stated before, I don't make it out to Dayton often but I'll definitely be looking forward to coming back to Carabelles what I do. read more

Literally got told after an hour they were "putting my food together" but the bartender could not give me an estimated time. Horrible service, rude manager, we have a large party of people who would go there every friday night. The last time we were there, half our group got their food, paid their bill and left before the other half got their food. When the food came out it was cold. Noah did nothing except yell at one of group who went looking for our food. Noah made no attempt to comp us for any of the bad service. Each couple normally spent at least $100 for food and drinks plus tips.. We usually had 6-12 couples every week. Noah knew this and drove us out. We won't go back. If you get stuck in the corner of the group, good luck getting a server to bring you anything. They serve the closest patron and ignore the ones sitting in the back. Drinks take forever to get, so if you do really want to go there, make sure you order 2 drinks right away or you will never get a second. Unless you are friends with the bartender or server. Otherwise you will never get served. The staff doesn't care. read more
