Been coming to this location for many years, and it's not always been on the money, but tonight was probably the worst. Got two medium blizzards (had initially ordered a peanut butter sundae, but changed it and got the blizzards), which was read back to me 100% correctly, and I was told to come to the window for my total. When we pulled around, we didn't like what we saw. A few young dudes, long hair with no hats or nets and zero gloves. Coughing and making the sloppiest ice creams I've ever seen. I could see that sundae coming my way as the one fella had peanut butter sauce all over the side of the container, his bare hands and dripping down to the floor. He crammed the lid on it and handed it to the window attendant, and I had to inform the guy that my order had the two blizzards, which he confirmed on his screen and took the sundae back and sat it aside . No harm, but next he brought out two blizzards and tried to do the "flip," and my wife's spilled. Probably about two shot glasses or more of it came out and he brought it back inside, wiped off the side, and handed it back to me. I never got my receipt to see if I was charged for that sundae, but I was charged for two blizzards, and my wife's was one that had previously been pre-made I believe. It was melted but had the texture of something that had been refrozen/crystallized and not fresh and slightly "freezer-tasting" if that makes sense. Like something left open in a freezer/cooler. These were seasonal blizzards so perhaps it wasn't something they sold a lot of, but you'd think they wouldn't be premade and thrown out the window in such a sloppy manner. The location in Jefferson is the closest one to us and I'll just make the decision to "IXNAY" DQ if I'm at Banks Crossing. The Jefferson location is solid as a rock. read more

Great experience at this location! I ordered ahead through the app, and everything was ready super fast. The process was easy and smooth--perfect for when you're on the go. I really appreciated that they put lids on the Blizzards without me having to ask. It's the little things like that that make a difference! I don't usually review fast food restaurants but I have to say this was the cleanest DQ I have been to. I believe it was the owner that served us and he was fantastic. I worked at the DQ in Gainesville when I was 13 (I'm 57 now) so I understand how things work here. Anyway, I want everyone to know that this DQ makes the best Biscuits. I get a tenderloin and a plain biscuit every Sunday morning. Unlike some of the reviews, I don't mind waiting ten minutes to get a homemade biscuit or ice cream. They make their biscuits from scratch and the ice cream treats take a minute. If you want fast and ordinary, stop somewhere else. I don't usually get a burger here anymore although they have always been a favorite since I was a kid. I am a little disappointed reading the change about the burgers in a previous review. I'll have to check it out. I prefer to save my calories for the biscuits and a chocolate covered cones anyway! Btw, if it's summer in Commerce, go inside to eat your ice cream. It's gonna melt fast!!! It's pure cream and sugar soft serve so it melts rapidly. One more thing, I don't like how they turn the Blizzard upside down outside the drive-thru window without a lid...yuck! I don't really understand the idea anyway. If the spoon stands up in the middle and it won't budge, it's pretty darn thick...just sayin. Again, worth the extra drive off the interstate for biscuits and ice cream. I don't usually bother to review 1/2 the restaurants I go to, especially the fast good joints, so why a 4-star review for a Dairy Queen off the interstate near an outlet mall? The owner. Loved him. Greeted us on entering. Treated his employees with respect. Had posted a quote from Ghandi about treating people well. Came and chatted with us while we were eating to make sure everything was good. Bid us well upon departure. I have never felt more special in a fast food restaurant, where I am usually happy simply to be acknowledged. The DQ Blizzard is also a guilty pleasure of mine, so that doesn't hurt the rating either. There's nothing special about the food here. It is a DQ, no more, no less. But the owner earned my repeat business and rating with his attitude. read more

Stopped in this DQ for a blizzard on a road trip. Took too long to help customers. This issue was compounded by the staff messing up orders and having to fix them. Then, once we were finally given our blizzards, theo utside of one was dripping with ice cream which we had to clean off. The cashier assured us it was water, but it was white, so... This DQ was my 1 trip to DQ in 2017 and it was a complete disappointment. I stopped through on my way to ATL for a blizzard, and the Turtle Pecan blizzard looked like a bad science experiment. I don't know if it was overblended or the machine was broken, but it was basically the consistency of soup and made a complete mess of my car. I turned around and got a refund, but it completely threw off my schedule since I had to spend a good 20-30 mins cleaning myself and my car afterwards. Very disappointed with this DQ! read more

Went for ice cream., big mistake. We got a medium hot fudge sundae, medium ice cream cone and 2 moolattes. The ice cream or what ever they gave me tasted very old. They will not give a refund. There is a sign on the drive thru window. We threw everything in the trash. Very disappointed and what a waste of money. We will not be back. read more

Went to the drive thru and was over charged. Then, my plain vanilla milkshake had bits of oreo and other chocolate pieces. My fries were soggy and the bacon burger was horrible. I will never go threre again. read more

Very nice DQ. Clean store, nice staff, quick service, and recently built. Dipped cone was typical DQ flavor and quality (good). Grilled chicken sandwich tasted surprisingly fresh but needed additional flavor (Wendy's has the best GCS of the chains simply because of their sauce). read more

I have never written a review before but this place deserves one . Ordered the 5 buck lunch on sat. June 16 2018 half way through the burger l discovered a hair about 6 inches long cooked lnto the party . I had to pull it from my mouth . Needless to say my lunch was over! I showed it to the person behind the counter and her response was "oh I 'll tell the cook." Not an I'am sorry or an offer to refund my money . I just left. Oh and just for the record what little bit of the meal that l did eat wouldn't have been worth the 5 bucks I wasted . The meat was over cooked and the fries were cold and greasy. I usually to never write reviews for such places...however the owner(s) are very friendly and treat both customers and their employees with such respect. I seen an episode where a customer (African American lady) in the drive thru was being rather nasty with an employee. Id never seen such arrogance in a person. This young girl had done nothing wrong but this lady was so rude for whatever reason. A bad day? Maybe we all have those right? The owner was able to calm this customer down as well as calming the worker...she was an emotional wreck in tears, which I would have been to. He explained to her these things happen to expect it in such a very caring way which most managers wouldnt do...and yes the owners actually work at this store! They are part of their crew and treat em like family...awesome! Since it is our young generation working these types of jobs it can be slow. Which I expected...but give em a break, this is their first jobs to get their feet wet to becoming ready for their next adult steps out into the working world. This DQ also brings your food to your table. No calling out numbers or names here..nope. Personalized service all the way...so Aplus I give this establishment! read more
