I visited for lunch just a few minutes ago. I went in to use the restroom and it was clean. I had the Tacos that were on the menu (don't remember the name) . They were very spicy... kinda hot so they helped to clear my sinuses on this day because there has been a " high pollen" alert issued. The taco shells were so perfectly CRISPY!! No line, 3:00 in the afternoon on a Thursday. I order a #1 combo. The cost is $8.99. I ask if they give any senior discounts and the young waitress says, "just on drinks." I tell her that would be great. She says she can't adjust the drink on the combo, so she will have to add them up separately. (keep in mind, the Dairy Queen in Gresham takes the price of the drink away from the combo, saving about 2 bucks). I drive up to the window and wait. And wait. Finally, the same waitress says, "That'll be $8.97." I smile and say, "That's not much of a discount, dear." She just smiles and holds her hand out for payment. Then she walks away. No service. I walk in and there are three people are the counter and a young lady ask " May I help you?" and then she started to do stocking cups. The other two did nothing to help. I then started to leave and told them I'm going to somewhere where I can order food I then the older lady whom I think was the manager ask me if I wanted to order. I'm at the door by that time and I heard her mumble something under her voice. I called the district manager and at this time haven't heard back from him at this time. I haven't been to a Texas Dairy Queen in a good while since I live out of state now. I stopped in with my cousin's family after a family function out here and we really enjoyed it. The folks working here (9/4/21, about 5:00 PM) were all so nice. Christy put up with our silliness at the register and had amazing humor along with us. Some of the other folks working were super nice, bringing us our food to the table and providing such friendly service. The food was great! I haven't had a steak finger basket in a very long time and mine was just like I remembered it, along with some perfectly cooked fries. We all got ice cream treats (I was the lone wolf, having a caramel sundae instead of a Blizzard) and those were all the indulgence you want when you get a DQ treat. Bad service. Most of the time I order food from here they forget something, but today they went over the top. Ordered a #1 with cheese bacon and jalapeños, instead got a burger with no meat jalapeños and bacon plus not regular cheese, but shredded cheese. This place is ridiculous. Manager only did the least. I went to this Dairy Queen tonight 12/21/2019 and ordered a Chicken Strip Basket at 6:20. There was no one else in the place at the time but I sat there waiting until 6:50 with no food. I finally went to the counter and asked what was going on and gave the guy behind the counter my receipt and all he did was just stare at it with no response. People standing around in the back not paying attention to the front so we walked out. 2nd time we placed an order and it takes almost 30 minutes. It's ridiculous. We won't stop here anymore! I visited this DQ on 9-7-16 while passing through town. Everyone was SO Friendly and welcoming. All the employees were smiling and looked happy & eager to serve you.
