I used to stop at the old Dairy Queen in Cameron, on my way back to Houston from visiting my parents in Moody, Texas. I always got a large chocolate dipped cone and enjoyed it on the drive back. I had not been back to Cameron in many years, since relocating to Temple. Imagine my surprise when a friend and I pulled into the NEWLY RENOVATED and expanded Dairy Queen in the same spot.. We were greeted with a huge menu, a lot more options than our Temple Dairy Queen, and a friendly staff and great food. Ruth had a Beltbuster, and I enjoyed the "chicken fried steak platter". Afterwards, I bought her a Dilly Bar and I discovered much to my delight that they have CHOCOLATE soft serve, so I ordered a Chocolate Chocolate Dipped cone. HEAVEN!!! I urge any drivers on the road to stop in and see what a Dairy Queen should look like. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy. read more

The Dairy Queen in Cameron tx is by far the very best Dairy Queen I've ever visited. My dad and I stopped in and both got the hunger buster with cheese combo. Best burger and fries in a long time. I eat DQ often but my first time in Cameron. Best DQ I've eaten at. My burger was great, was extra stuffed with fresh ingredients and the fries were perfect, golden crispy brown on the outside and soft on the inside. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was fast and friendly. And they're open until midnight, every night!!! read more

what has happened to this DQ? Quality of food is bad. Four of us had dinner last night from DQ and 2 of my family are now returning from the ER. Doctor called it food poisoning, they needed help with the violent vomiting and diarrhea. Fries were not fresh and were soggy, burgers were not very tasty and not one of us could finish it. Had blizzards 2 nights ago that were runny to the point the clerk would not turn them upside down because it was obvious if she did, the blizzard would have been all over the ground. We feel that customers pay way too much here as it is and quality is now bad. We will not be back to this business. read more

First thing: great music taste. If I'm sitting in a restaurant I want to rock out. The clean restrooms were a huge plus. Good quick service. I've been to quite a variety of Dairy Queen's, and this is one of the tops. Go here if you like classic songs and good ice cream. And plus this is the only place to go in Cameron, lol. read more

Stopped in for convenient lication pulling a camper. Beat DQ we have ever seen. Friendly and quick service. Food was great! We couldn't leave a review off the ticket for a free mini blizzard but the assistant manager gave us one anyway. Highly recommend this location. Great job teaching customer service. What an exquisite find in the middle of small town Cameron, Texas. A charming local chain restaurant with invigorating music, friendly employees, and of course, perfect sweet and creamy ice cream. Drove through here from Victoria heading to Dallas and just from sitting here waiting on my food, some of the sweetest and best service I've seen in a long time with it being fast food. Dairy Queen is my go to for great hot fresh burgers and blizzards. When I drove up today I thought they were closed because the drive thru was empty. I placed my order, received top knotch service by the friendly employee that waited on me. I live not even 5 minutes away but when I arrived home to dig into my beltbuster, my patties were cold. I disassembled my burger, nuked the patties and ate my burger. This was the only time DQ has ever fell short on the delicious burgers. read more

Everything I ate was great! My burger and fries were HOT, just like I like it! My sprite was the best I've drank at any restaurant! The service was quick! My only complaint is, I got to the window and decided I wanted to add a small blizzard, but they wouldn't let me order it because it would slow down their fast service. Last 2 times we ate there, burgers tasted funny and stomach problems began. After the time before last we did not associate the meal at DQ with gut problems because we never had it happen before. Gave it a week, belly seemed to settle, so we ate there again. This time fed the whole family DQ burgers, 3 of us could not finish the meal it tasted so "off", but grandson ate all his. We all got sick again, symptoms very much like food poisoning. Three adults finally over it, but grandson still suffering, cannot keep much of anything down and what he does eat still goes right through him like water. Now we're like 99.99% sure it was the DQ we ate. Sorry to say we will not be returning there anymore. I'm from California and we don't have one of these there. I had no idea, I always see it advertised but never actually noticed we DIDNT have one. I stopped here on the way back to where I was visiting. The menu was pretty simple only a few burger choices. The combos were an additional 2.99$. There are burgers listed for 4.99$ that's just the burger, and if you want fries and a drink you add 2.99$. Seems like a lot, why not make it all in one combo for that much. They didn't have onion rings, just fries. That was disappointing. I got a bacon cheeseburger and added fried jalapeños and extra mayo. I didn't add fries or a drink. The burger was pretty good. There was ALOT of may and mustard, maybe I didn't need to add more. It's nothing too special, but it's definitely better than stopping at McDonald's, jack in the box or any of the other fast foods. For fast foods it was pretty good, except for the prices. read more

Oh My Goodness! On our way back home and we stopped in for lunch. This is one of the nicest and cleanest we have ever seen! The staff was awesome! They were kind, courteous, efficient, hospitable, and the food was excellent. We noticed how much they take pride in their work and their workplace. Right when I got to the table I spilled my drink a little - I do not know how they knew but someone was right there with a rag!
