Great find on a work road trip. Wonderful service, fast, friendly staff. They grind the beef daily for their burgers. The onion rings are made in house and are crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. They are open 24hrs and serve breakfast all day. You can also get the full menu in the drive thru if you don't have time to stop and eat. read more

This place had good reviews on Yelp and a line out the door so we gave it a try. In total we were there for more than an hour waiting through the line and eating. I had the 1/5 lb. bacon cheeseburger and an iced tea and my husband had the 1/2 hamburger and onion rings with an iced tea so the vast majority of our time was spent waiting either in line or for our food. The food was average. It had a family friendly atmosphere and it was clean. Decided on the Dairy Palace after so many Yelp reviews bragged on the burgers....we found the atmosphere pleasant for a burger joint and the onion rings are hand battered and some of the best I have had...ordered the Bacon cheeseburger, how can I say this, found that the paddy was almost burnt, lacked much of any taste and over all was a disappointment ...wife had the chicken strips and said they were wonderful.... I was excited to try the Dairy Palace as this was recommended by a local. My first experience was not good at all. The restaurant was really busy but still managed to find a table. After 30 minutes of waiting we (2 of us) asked about our meals. One person asked the manager and we were told it's on its way. We asked another person and they mentioned there was a mix up and should be out soon. After an hour the manager came to our table apologizing and asked if we would like ice cream. Pretty solid burger joint in Texarkana. Had a long wait in line before we were able to order food. Also, had a lot of trouble figuring out exactly what to order, since they have what seems like a 10-page menu. After ordering, however, it was not very long until we were served. My elk burger (w/o the plum sauce), I will say, had a good flavor but was very dry. Also, inside is kind of a cramped space, as is the parking lot. Overall, great customer service but average-below average food quality. Recommended for maybe a quick sit down, but definitely not a "world famous" burger. read more

My worst fast food experience in probably 20 years. We were in the drive through over 20 minutes before we got to the window. All we wanted was ice cream and a kids chicken nugget meal. They gave me the ice cream when I paid and told me to pull forward to wait for someone to bring our food out. Pulled forward and waited over another ten minutes. I'm well aware that it takes 4 minutes to cook chicken nuggets. Finally left my car to go inside and ask what the problem was. A flustered and confused seeming employee asked what car I was in, then dug around the food up window and brought me a bag. I wished I'd checked it instead of tossing it at my kid and peeling out is the parking lot; once we were a couple miles away she complained the nuggets were gross I took a bit (how bad could they be?) and spit it back out. Literally cold dry and stale. Like the were cooked the day before. I didn't know fried foods could taste that bad. I deeply wish we had stopped at McDonald's per our original plan, since now we have to go there anyway because my kid still needs something to eat. Also I tried to call before leaving this review but no one would answer the phone. During a holiday in which, due to work and the pandemic, I was already stretched to give my daughter a happy and safe experience, Dairy Palace stole a significant portion of our day, time which could have been spent cuddling, watching a movie or playing a game, and rewarded us with indifferent human interaction and inedible food. It a pretty pricy burger but worth it if you are driving through Canton, TX on interstate 20. I stop here anytime I'm at first Monday's trade days in canton another must visit or just driving to the great state of Louisiana. French fries are average onion rings are good. This is the greasiest spoon of all. A totally fast-food joint that is locally owned. If you come here you have to do the fries and the rings. Great big order and totally great. This place is pretty interesting. It's clear that the locals prefer it 3:1 over the nearby Dairy Queen. I think the decor has got to largely original. We just left Dairy Palace in Canton, Tx. My husband and I ordered a catfish burger with onion rings and a nacho supreme with guacamole. After paying for our order, we were asked to pull up. We waited for over 25 minutes and we still did not get our order. At that point,my husband went inside to see what was taking so long and they said they could not find the order. Then about five minutes later they started that they have to cook some more chips and will bring the order out to us. When the order was brought to us, I opened the container that has my nachos and gnats came flying out of the container. I took that disgusting mess back into them and demanded my money back. I was given a refund for my order. I will never stop there for food again. This is unexceptable. In addition no employee were wearing masks even though Covid 19 still exists. This restaurant needs to be evaluated. read more
