Dairy Joy was simply that, a joy. From corn whole to Elvis such a great family atmosphere. We enjoyed chocolate ice cream and a chocolate milkshake respectively. We sat for an hour chatting with a fellow customer and enjoying our ice cream. Such a fun and delicious time. You must try this place. You will not regret it.

Cute repurposed twistee great that's great for ice cream! The decorations here are a little odd (elvis statue among others) but regarding the food, they have a plethora of options. Milkshakes, cones, cups, sundaes - they've got it all. I got a cookies and crème milkshake it and was really good! I liked the thicker consistency than other places which allowed it to be eaten better with a spoon. Could definitely see it being popular for kids/families!

Go back in time and stop at the cutest ice cream parlor! An old converted Twistee Treat turned 50s ice cream shop, we have had this on our list of ice cream places to try & decided to make this the start to our long holiday weekend with our two little ones. The decor and music were the perfect touch to make you feel like you were back in 1950s in old Florida. Our girls loved playing in the cars and sitting at the kids picnic tables. Now the important part, the actual cold treat review. My oldest opted for a Rainbow Unicorn snow cone (rainbow color) which she enjoyed and our youngest did a strawberry milkshake. My husband ordered a medium milkshake and it seemed more like a large! Most places make milkshakes too thin and with too much milk however, Dairy Joy has the recipe down pat. Nice thickness and even better flavor. I had a hard time deciding what to get so after seeing and trying what the rest of the family got, I had a tiger blood/mango snow cone to help cool off from the Florida heat. Next time I will get a milkshake and their mini cone dipped as it's a perfect bite size! Fun fact: the original Dairy Joy is in Tampa and has been there since the 1950s so it's nice to get a piece of Tampa Bay history brought to Seminole for families to start the tradition of getting ice cream at this location

Such a cute spot! We had been to a place similar closer to Kissimmee and always loved it. Drove by here after dinner on vacation one night and we're the only ones there! Such a cool little spot

I grew up going to the one in South Tampa, their ice cream always hit the spot! I was so excited to see this new location!

Great, fun little spot. A lot of flavors to choose from at a really good price. I was expecting to pay a lot more for a sundae

This is an old school ice cream store. The prices are amazingly reasonable and the vibe is great. Highly recommend this ice cream store.

Key line was a great flavor for regular ice cream. No clue if they offer real ingredients or corn syrup but it's a clean, fresh location and you get a triangle of cone on the side, which is great. This is a place we'll stop when driving by and craving ice cream but nowhere we've found in the area is somewhere that's dairy fresh fantastic with real whipped cream. I do like how you get to try the flavors with a real spoon provided.

The staff were extremely friendly and patient as I had not clue what to order. I ended up getting a scoop of their deepest darkest chocolate secret and a scoop of the marshmallows cookies and caramel. My boyfriend ordered the caramelized bananas with peanut butter and honey and refused to share more than a bite and it was outstanding. The flavors are all made in house and extremely delicious. You can taste the quality and care that goes into the ice cream. As well as the quality of their ingredients. They also sell dessert bars which honestly looked out of this world but we did not have room left. The pricing here is extremely reasonable for the size and quality you get. Parking is tight as it is a few spots right off a main road on either side. But there is a small parking lot a bit further down. There is limited indoor and outdoor seating here but it is a must try if in the area!

The staff is always super kind and friendly, there is so much ice cream to choose from, and their grilled hotdogs on grilled buns are so good. They come with a bag of chips and are the perfect pre or post-beach snack. Lately, we've been adding a canned sangria to the mix. The back patio with the beach breeze is my favorite. They have "the only shell shop in Indian Rocks Beach", with all sorts of trinkets and souvenirs. We had ice cream cones, one with luscious toasty toasted coconut, and a vanilla with big sweet cherry pieces. The real headline here? Kooky Coconut makes a great Cuban Sandwich. We come here pretty often. We love their "Tampa" version: Roast pork is marinated in a traditional mojo sauce mainly of orange, lemon, lime, plenty of garlic, some mint and oregano. It's tender, a little sweet, and very flavorful. It's sliced thin and layered with ham, Genoa salami, and Swiss cheese. And the sandwich is pressed and crispy-toasted in fresh handmade Cuban bread. Very rich! They brag, and we agree. This was again delicious, and it's our go-to, and in part that's because their smaller 4.5-inch Cuban is only $7.25! You can get up to a 12-inch for $16. (Jan 2026). They have a variety of Cuban-sandwich spinoffs including an Island version with mojo-marinated meats and pesto sauce, a Chicken one and a Chicken & Pesto, and even a Reuben Cuban with corned-beef, sauerkraut, Swiss-cheese, & reuben-sauce! They make burgers, veggie-burgers, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, bowls, veggie versions of those, chips, guacamole, hot-dogs, and even crab-cakes! They have shakes and malt-flavored malteds, floats and smoothies, soft-drinks, beer & wine, hot-chocolate, espresso, coffee, decaf, affogato ice cream with espresso, almond-milk, coconut-milk, and good rich ice cream, sherbet, and sundaes, too, in around 20 flavors. When we went this time (Jan 2026), we ate at their umbrellaed tables where we could see the sunset sky. There's outdoor seating for around 45, indoor seating for maybe 8 more, and parking for about 8 cars for their customers. They don't have any extra parking for a walk on the beach, even if you bought something, so please don't do that to them. Don't worry. There is beach parking nearby, and there's a $5-per-day trolly between Clearwater Beach and St. Pete Beach that stops half-a-block away. Look for the bright sun symbol on a round blue sign. You could eat here under $12, every day for a month, and never get the same thing twice! And they have really nice staff making and serving all this delicious fare. We always make time for Kooky Coconut :-)
