Fun family spot... quality ice cream but the scoops are huge! Friendly and funny service. Ice cream should be fun and these folks are happy to share. Full food menu as well, but we came for ice cream. Both soft and scooped. read more

How does Dairy Dayz do it? Long lines on a summer weekend, and they just keep putting out food and ice cream. Great selections, reasonable prices, great service. Thanks, DD, for vacation dessert. read more

My husband and I came here after spending the evening at Oval beach! They were accepting cash only which made our options slim but they had a wide variety of things to choose from and lots of fresh ice cream! The servers were kind and friendly and took orders fast. there are some picnic tables outside which makes for the perfect summer spot to eat ice cream! read more

They aren't open a season but this year they open March 15th. Always nice to have a local soft serve ice cream joint in town. They don't serve food all night I think the sign said they stop at 7:30pm. I got a medium vanilla cone and it was exactly what I was looking for. If you need a consistent ice cream joint that brings back nostalgia come here! read more

Decent prices and lots of choices! Appreciated the cashier helping us because we almost ordered giant ice creams. It's busy but it goes quick. It's a cute little area. read more

We came here after a disappointing other dessert stop. We were much happier with this place. Deliciousness! Little confusion at first and we almost thought it was closed until I realized oh wait there's another side! :P read more

Dairy Daze has a really good selection of frozen treats. If you can't find something you like here, then you just don't like ice cream lol. One of these days I'll try the food. Staff have always been friendly and polite. This place is always crowded, especially during peak tourist season. Prices are reasonable and the serving sizes are good. And speaking of serving sizes, I made the mistake of ordering the large waffle cone. It was absolutely enormous. And it was covered in rainbow sprinkles. Everyone was staring at it and laughing. I wish I had taken a pic, but it was a warm day and the thing was dripping all over my hand and arm. If you have a big appetite, go for it. read more

I'd give you a zero if it was available. Ordered food. Two bag came she said thanks hun. Took it tovthe car opened it. Had the wrong fries. Said ok I'll just eat these. Looked further had nugges 2 orders, chicago dog (We did order 1) 4 cheeseburgers that we did not order. I had my friend take it back up. The Older lady yelled at him and said it was his fault he took the order she gave him. He came back to the car upset. I went and asked to speak to a manager. The older lady then came and started yelling at me. Then she served the same food to the guest that ordered it and told them we took food that wasn't ours. Way to blame others! 1. Don't reserve food its againt the health department's rules. 2. Admit your fault. 3. Know I'll never return. Your food is not safe. read more

The soft service is superb. The large is MASSIVE, easily could be shared by two or even 3 people. We really enjoyed coming there during our stay in the area. read more

My family stops here every time we get on and off the nearby highway. The ice cream here is top notch! Coming from Chicago I appreciate their great prices and generous portions. I order for 6 people and each order is different and they have never messed up our order. The line moves very fast and employees are also very polite. My kids love the Dole whip , they get the swirl and always some kind of dip . They also have frozen yogurt and ice cream. The waffle cones /bowls look great as well as flavor burst! Great summer spot! Check it out! read more

Super sweet (pun intended) ice cream shop just outside of downtown Saugatuck. They have some hand dipped ice cream to choose from but the real star for me was the soft serve! It's simple but so good. Vanilla or chocolate only but they're great. So light and sweet, and, if you're feeling frisky, you can get a flavor boost which infuses some additional flavors via swirl into the mix. They have everything from fruity flavors like strawberry and orange to cotton candy and mocha and it just adds a little extra to an already great soft serve. HUGE portions too. Just grab some extra napkins bc on a hot day that soft serve melts real fast! They have a walk up window on the side or you can go inside as well. Seems like most folks go to the walk up window but we didn't see it at first so we walked inside, which was actually good b/c we were the only ones in there and we got to ask some questions about their menu. Outside is a huge courtyard with picnic and patio tables and benches to lounge on. So nice! Great ambiance, cheap tasty ice cream, and fun flavors. Definitely adding this to our regular Saugatuck ice cream rotation! read more

Everyone raves about the soft serve (which was delicious) but the hard ice cream was one of the best I've had! Mookies N Cream was a personal favorite and I'm someone that gets Cookies and Cream ice cream at A LOT of places. Cute spot, quick service, always had parking available and definitely a must-see in Saugatuck! read more

Stopped in tonight with some friends and an older lady who was working the counter demonstrated the worst customer service I have ever experienced. She was yelling out the window at the customers for not being quick to grab their ice cream, complaining about having to remake a wrong order and finding any reason at all to throw a fit. All of us customers were in shock and ended up just having to laugh it off. I don't know what her problem is, but it made me sick to my stomach the way she was talking to people. I fought the urge to send my order back and ask for a full refund for being verbally assaulted for just trying to have some ice cream. read more

Make sure to call ahead I was greeted with a "We are closed due to lack of staff". !!!

This place was pretty good. Good ice cream, good-looking food (we didn't eat;we were only looking for sweets). The only thing that puzzled me/angered me is that when I was reading the slushie menu of flavored they had one listed as 'suicide'. My jaw hung open. Suicide? How is suicide a flavor? Is it supposed to be funny? I'm sure the wouldn't have 'cancer' or 'diabetes' listed as favors (even though they have enough sugar on the menu to give someone diabetes, so I guess it could be ironically appropriate. But it wouldn't be, just as suicide has no place on an ice cream store menu. The ladies who worked there were very nice, I don't blame them for this, but it should be changed. Other than that, it was a great place, and yes, I would go back. read more

Dairy Dayz - Medium (really!!) w/ cherry dip! - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Saugatuck, Michigan

Such a cute little stop... but "little" describes the location and definitely not the ice cream sizes! The servings are huge in the best way, order the itty bitty and you'll be good to go. Of course the kids love it, lots of picnic tables and outdoor seating.. soft serve and hard scoops. read more

As a local to saugatuck I go to dairy dayz every chance I can get:) The customer service is great, my friend macenzie works there and gives me generous helping! Not that the servings aren't already HUGE! Get the kids size, and for your kids an "itty bitty" will do! :) read more

Very large portions. Good value and lots from which to choose. Easily accessible from the blue star highway.

Such a cute mom and pop ice cream store in town. Rich malts and great flavors on their ice cream.

Talk about a lot of ice cream... holy cow.. great place- good ice cream.. pleasantly surprised by the stand alone building on the side of the road. Compared to the other ice cream shops in the main towns. This one is worth the drive, my vote for best ice cream in the area read more

It's not summer (or a summer-like day in early fall) if one doesn't stop at Dairy Dayz for a cone. Portions are so generous that I challenge you to finish it before it drips down your wrist, if you're eating at one of their outside seating options. They offer both soft serve and several hand-dipped flavors, and I thoroughly enjoyed the Country Dairy's Nutty Java Moo (coffee ice cream with chocolate almonds) in a waffle cone. I love that that they are serving ice cream from a Michigan business (Country Dairy) that has been owned and operated by the same family for 4 generations. My husband enjoyed his soft serve chocolate/vanilla twist in a waffle cone and thanks to our decades of happily married life, we were both willing to share with one another. It was the best of both worlds in a fun (and delicious) setting. read more

We just finished our dune ride at Saugatuck and were looking for an ice cream place. On our way we had noticed this ice cream parlor so thought we'd give it a try. Little did we know that that little place would turn out to be such a gem. We ordered the coconut swirl with a chocolate dip and a flurry of chocolate and strawberry with cheese cake ( the guy at the counter said it was their best ) and boy oh boy good it was!! It's now going to be a staple for whenever we are back in the area!! Plus the recommendations!! read more

I regret accidentally driving past this place on my way downtown Saugatuck so many times... worth it to venture off the beaten path! HUGE portions for low prices. Don't make the same mistake I did, I assumed a medium would be an average serving. It was SO MUCH ice cream. The have a size guide on their window and it is very accurate. Don't waste your money downtown on an $8 scoop of ice cream, come here instead! read more

This place is pretty good. JUST BE WARNED! I ordered a medium dipped cone and it was probably 3 times the size of a medium at DQ. I should have ordered a kids size LOL!!! Yes go here all sorts of soft serve options and scooped ice cream and food! read more

We stopped by after a short hike in the Saugatuck Dunes State park. The portion sizes here are huge! A small is definitely very large. I felt lame getting the itty bitty size while my friends got "small" sizes, but I'm ultimately glad with my more normal sized serving. Try some ice cream flavors of soft serve. Everything was great! read more

I've always been a fan of dairy days and of course like to support local businesses especially during times like these. However today I had an experience that will prevent me from returning anytime soon. I tried to call and order for pick up as I was on a tight schedule and would be passing by the restaurant on my way to work. I was told that they are far too busy to accept carry out orders. During these times, where we do not have the ability to dine in at restaurants I find it hard to believe that dairy days would turn down Call in/pick up business. I just drove by the restaurant and there were two people in line and maybe three families sitting at tables in the parking lot. Dairy days, I guess you're far too busy for my business read more

I do not know how they make any money with the ginormous servings and cheap prices. Beware if you have a problem with portion control. It's an adorable little stand on the highway with a limited selection (about 15 flavors plus soft serve) of very good ice cream. It might not have the decadence of flavor of nearby legend Kilwin's, but we enjoyed what we got - a super sweet birthday cake waffle cone and a mint chip-raspberry chip yogurt split single scoop. Why a split single scoop, you ask? When I tried to order a $4 double, I was warned it would be "nearly a point of ice cream." My wife could not come close to finishing her "small" waffle cone. Ask for the kids when you want a large, go for the "Itty bitty" when you want a normal human amount. read more

Mmmmmm ice cream. Enough said. Lines can get long at certain peak times, ie., after dinner around 7 pm. They serve large portions of both soft serve (not a fan myself) or a locally made regular style ice cream (can't recall the name of it offhand) Price is right here, people, you can't go wrong. And it's easy to get to. No inside eating, but there are tables outside you can sit on. read more

A town classic. Sure there are other ice cream options in town, but for price and quantity this is where you head. Huge portions, dairy dayz sits on the outside of town and a perfect option before hitting the highway on your departure from Saugatuck. Expect a line on summer evenings-but worth the wait. read more

This place is great! Their soft serve is very tasty and good quality. They also have enormous portions! In addition, Dairy Dayz serves Dole Whip, a pretty decent (sweet & fruity) soy based frozen dessert. For hard ice cream there are around 10 Hudsonville flavors available. read more

Dairy Dayz - Large chocolate cone - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Saugatuck, Michigan

The ice cream here is delicious and so fairly priced. But the service is RUDE! There were 3 teenage girls helping in the back and the one at the cashier should be fired. She huffed every time we asked for something and rolled her eyes every time we gave another order. Then at the end she said "do you want anything else?" in a really rude way. So if you want delicious ice cream don't come here on a Friday afternoon when she's there. read more

UUUUge perkins m portions of soft serve and hand dipped! Decent outdoor seating and you can hose off youre own melty table, while family loved it! read more

The ice cream is delicious, and the portions are huge. The problem is that in four visits there, three of the orders were wrong. The eye rolling and the tone of voice that we got when we explained that it was incorrect were pretty obnoxious and not so great for customer service. We appreciate that people do come to work, but if this is your job, do it in a kind and polite manner. read more

Cute little ice cream stand down the street from Saugatuck Dune Ride. After buying our tickets for the dune ride we drove, but I recommend walking because it's really close. We weren't sure how close it was so we drove to make sure we got back in time for our dune ride. They have all sorts of sundaes, cones, cups, smoothies, etc. Pretty much anything you'd desire with ice cream. read more

Great local ice cream shop. Nothing fancy just great soft serve and Scooped premium ice cream, priced right. Nothing says summer in Saugatuck more than a trip to Dairy Dayz. Get their punchcard if you plan to go multiple times. Watch out for the soft serve, the sizes are three times bigger than what you're used to! read more

Ice cream as big as your head. It is a favorite of the family. Blizzards are too pricy but the everything else is a reasonable value.

Ice cream was good, but when we got there no one was at the counter we ran the bell 10 times finally someone came and took our orders. She then came out with are ice cream from a dark room ( suspicious) the puporshions where very big! read more

Dairy Dayz - Small soft serve with sprinkles. - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Saugatuck, Michigan

This monument to waspy Midwestern vacations serves up comically large ice cream cones at the price a working man can afford to feed a family of 5 with. If you don't mind wading through a fog of mosquitos for a sweet taste of creamy goodness you will be handsomely rewarded. Long lines and teenagers that don't give a fuck behind the counter aren't enough to sour the dairy days of summer I've come to love. read more
