Indoor place with lots of food vendors and different knick knacks selling here and there. I ended up at Analog Coffee. It's a favorite of my friend whom I was visiting. I had a Hojicha Latte and we shared an Almond Croissant. Amazing how full a person can get on one drink and half a croissant. There are so many different options in this place. Wish I'd had more time, room in my stomach and room in my wallet to try more but this was the morning of my last day in Calgary. The one stall that really peaked my interest was a Vegan stall that had all sorts of Vegan options including frozen ones that you could bring home and put in your freezer. Frozen vegan Congee really caught my attention. I don't know anywhere in Vancouver that sells that! The stall was called Hearts Choices. They were offering samples of their product. They all seemed to be Thai flavors of soup and sauces. Everything I sampled was sooooo good. Wish they would open up in Vancouver. I was really curious about their frozen congee. If I lived in Calgary I would have definitely bought one and brought it home with me. Oh, I really wanted to try their Vegan Mac n Cheese but it comes with a slice of toast and there was no room in my tummy for all that as I'd already filled up on Hojicha Latte and Almond Croissant. I also saw a crepe place in the market that I'd have also loved to try and well...lots of other stalls as well. So many interesting food options here. Gonna have to spend a bit longer here next time!

Absolutely worth to check out! And it is mostly local beacause of people who have enough guts to start their own business, that alone is a good reason to support them! It's open Wednesdays from 3-7pm, a few Saturdays as well. You can stop by after work, get good groceries AND have dinner there while listening to some live music. There is homemade food available, authentic indian food and pizza. Lots of seating and you get entertained by live music. What else do you want? Right, dessert! Guess what, they have it as well. Bring napkins because your mouth waters just by looking and these yummy sweet creations.

In fact it's quite pleasant shopping for fresh local fruits and vegetables, with no battling the crowds. I managed to get 6lbs of jalapeños for my cowboy candy. This year I must say it's more expensive $3.99 per pound up from last year $2.99 per pound. I was also able to get a container of mango salsa which sells out quickly. - plenty of parking in the early morning can be quite chaotic in the later hours.

We purchased brown eggs, fresh ripe tomatoes, and of course their chicken wings which we are eager to try out. You gotta check this place out. Raol

I absolutely love the Cherry Pit in the farmers market! Everytime I am at the Farmers Market I…read morealways get a juice to walk around with and a popsicle from them. I love this place because I love fresh fruit and vegetables and this place always makes me feel so good and healthy. This is about the person who started the company: Sharla Dube started her produce business the year of 1995 in Canmore. Hauling two tables out to the farmers' market each weekend and filling them with fresh BC fruits direct from the growers was her respite from a hectic day job. Today, her fresh fruits and vegetables take up more than 2,400 square feet of space and a lot more than two tables. The Cherry Pit specializes in locally grown fruits and vegetables direct from the growers, but Sharla loves bringing in those hard-to-find items like fiddleheads, fresh figs and micro greens. As a mom she realizes the importance of healthy living. https://www.betterfresh.ca

Why wade through the crowded market when the Cherry Pit has everything I need? Also, they offer payment by debit - a definite perk, as many of the other businesses within the Farmer's Market are cash only. The Cherry Pit has a vast selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, and a modest selection of modest herbs available near the checkout. My lady can't get enough of their baby tomatoes and green beans because they're so much fresher than the stuff being peddled by the big supermarket chains. Fresher, and more expensive, but you get what you pay for at the Cherry Pit which is really all you can ask for from your produce provider.

The store was bright, and shelves seemed to be stocked, and even though there were people, I didn't feel it was too busy. I picked up $1 bread, sushi from a decent selection, and a premade salad for less than $3. I also got snacks for our drive home at reasonable prices. There were two entrances, and I entered from the side with the elevator. The other side had escalators and there were a lot of people hanging out at the bottom of them. They likely have a lot of activity, as during two days we twice saw firetrucks, ambulances, and police cars but during my visits, there was no activity.

Disrespectful service…read more I was buying a muffin and a drink. The self-serve checkout line was long so I decided to get in line for a cashier. In front of me was a woman with a pretty full cart, but I was willing to wait, and it seemed like the quickest option. There was no one behind me in line. When the woman in front of me had finished unloading her cart, the cashier came around the till. She made eye contact with me, glanced down at my basket with two items, and put her closed till sign behind the other woman's groceries. She then turns, looks me directly in the eyes again, and with a smile says, "find a different lane." I had two items. I understand that you needed to close, to go on break or something, but how do look a customer in the eye and tell them to find a different lane than the one they had been waiting in for about 5mins? Would it have inconvenienced you to spend an extra 2mins helping a customer? I had to go to a different line to purchase my items. I left the store angry and embarrassed. If you are going to shop here please know: 1. selection is not the best 2. use the self-checkout at ALL costs, even if the line is long
