Decided to try something new today and I wasn't very hungry. Sadly it was a 0/2 today bummer. I wanted to like it all so bad bc I have enjoyed my experiences in the past but I guess I made the wrong choices. I ordered an iced oat milk matcha which I order all the time and even make it at home and can tell you their home recipe is waaaaayyy off. There is too much matcha to milk ratio. It tasted bitter and just awful. Luckily our waiter Brandon who was very helpful took it off the bill. For my light breakfast today I ordered the Good Morning Honey which is supposed to be fruits with yogurt and granola. How can you mess that up you ask? Well using the wrong fruits. There was watermelon, pineapple and grapes in this bowl with regular yogurt (I suggest you use Greek yogurt so much thicker and better) and a few candied pecans. The bottom of the bowl was watery you could barely find the granola and was just not good at all. My son got the Meaty Bowl which he enjoyed and my hubby the Daily Plate with French toast which they have both ordered before and have enjoyed. finally had a chance to stop in here over a weekend recently for brunch. there was a bit of a wait but it wasn't too bad considering how packed they were. servers were friendly and efficient, but it was a bit hard to get refills of coffee etc since it was super busy. ultimately we cut our visit short because service wasn't great. the food was okay. not bad but i'm not sure it was worth it, possibly because it was super hyped up. i had the signature cap'n crunch dish which was tasty but not knock-your-socks-off. i honestly forget what my friend got as this was a couple of weeks ago but they weren't that satisfied with their experience either. also, like i said, it was packed. we were crammed in like sardines and it was SO loud. not the fault of the restaurant or staff, but it was super overstimulating. i had like a foot max of space between me and the diners on either side of me, we were on the bench row of tables against the wall, and we could hardly hear ourselves think let alone talk to each other. i felt cramped and rushed and it was difficult to enjoy the experience. read more

Love this place. Great view, we never have trouble parking either. Everything we've ever ordered off the menu is always great. I'm from out of town, but my boyfriend's family lives around the corner. Every time I visit, I like to stop here. Today my boyfriend made an online to go order for me before we headed to the airport, but he messed the order up. I called right after & they were able to cancel my order over the phone for us- which I was very shocked by- and said they would refund it. So we decided to head straight there on the way to the airport. We nicely asked our server what the wait time was like right now since we were running late, she told us that it would be quick and she could even put it in to go boxes for us and let us eat it right there at the table. Not a lot of restaurants would allow that and I thought it was Very considerate and kind. We will continue to eat here and try new things. Several years ago, our son introduced us to The Daily Eats. Now, whenever we're in the area, we stop in for a wonderful meal. The ambiance is diner-like, which we love, with outdoor dining too. Our waitress was very pleasant and efficient. A fun thing about The Daily Eats is their T-shirts and mugs. They have a coffee pot with a heart picture and say, "Pothead" on them. Daily eats is a diner vibe but with a little bit of a menu refresh. There is the perfect photo op outside with the mural and plenty of parking in the area! The food came out quickly and was hot! There were so many good breakfast options it was hard to decide but ended up ordering the breakfiesta bowl and it had everything I want in a bowl! Scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese, corn, black beans, tomato, jalapeño, turkey, sausage, and home fries covered and cheese sauce, and topped with guacamole and scallions. The cheese sauce and guacamole made this bowl. I would eat this all the time! There was an option to get tater tots instead of the home fries - which were just sliced seasoned potatoes but I would stick with the home fries for this bowl. Stopped hear for a bit to eat and WOW! The place did not disappoint. Small mom and pop place, cute 50's ambiance. The servers, ALL were very friendly. Small restaurant with a diner feel. The menu is filled with absolutely mind blowing delicious dishes. I had a Captain Cluck bowl for brunch and it was hands down the most unique savory/sweet plate I've ever had. Only downfall here is that there is no bar. I think a Bloody Mary would have completed My meal and pushed it over the top. But, I did see that they had a great selection of coffees and juices. Daily Eats is a good place for breakfast with plenty of options, unique items, and friendly service. My wife and I wanted breakfast on Saturday morning and wanted something different and new for a Yelp review. Most places opened later for brunch, 10 am or 11 am. We were looking for something around 830am. Daily Eats was open and our location in East Tampa was only about 20 minutes away. Daily Eats has a small parking lot and even this early in the morning, it was almost full. Only a few spots remained. We walked into a pretty loud, bustling breakfast restaurant. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server was around quickly. She was friendly and got us started on drinks, water, orange juice, and a coffee. The orange juice was fresh and tart. The coffee was strong and pretty good, whatever they were brewing that day. Looking over the menu is tough and took us some time. There are a lot of options. They have bowls, omelets, benedicts, traditional griddle favorites, sandwiches, and shredder bowls which combined various meats with tasty toppings. My wife went with the meaty bowl and I chose to go a little traditional. I got the two-egg plate with two eggs, a choice of bread, protein, and a side. I got my eggs scrambled with English muffins, pork sausage links and fresh fruit. I also had to try the captain crunch-coated French toast. I got a side order. The food didn't take long. We were hungry and we dug in. The eggs were ok. A little dry and overcooked and had no seasoning at all. I topped them with salt and pepper and that helped. The English muffin on the side was run of the mill. The fresh fruit was sweet, and tart and hit the spot for my healthy fix. The pork sausage stood out as good. Full links, pretty greasy, but had a nice crisp cook on them and were flavorful. I enjoyed these. The captain crunch French toast was really good. Soft, doughy bread with a sweet, crispy crust on it. I drizzled it with syrup. The captain crunch taste was there. This was unique and something I would definitely recommend. My wife enjoyed her bowl as well. It had turkey sausage in it along with what appeared to be house-made home fries, cheese, and bacon crumbles. All in all, it was a good breakfast. I would suggest anyone coming here, try the Captain Crunch French toast. Dining out for breakfast is a tough one for us. We tend to think, I could have just made this at home and when it came to my meal, I surely could have. Not that French Toast though. That's why I would say my visit was good, and you should go but I don't think we will be making the trip from Plant City just to come back here. read more

I've frequented Daily Eats for years, but I finally mastered the art of weekend breakfast time. GET THERE BEFORE 9!!! For the first time on a weekend, I was seated immediately and so, so, so happy. I ordered a build your own breakfast bowl, which I loved - my only complaint being the breakfast potato pieces are massive so I had to cut them myself and they did take up the majority of the bowl. Otherwise, delicious. My friend's acai bowl at looked way more like a dollop of sorbet with toppings on the side than what we'd formerly considered an acai bowl, but it tasted absolutely amazing so we overlooked that. I don't like captain crunch so I asked them for the french toast on the side and paid for house potatoes so I can build my own bowl. The hot honey was super good, the french toast was okay, tasted like pizza, and the chicken was super good! Overall, great bowl. Super yummy. - Server was Sarah, she was super nice. Very attentive and friendly. - Wish I could have came back at a later time to try their burger and shake. Looks like it would hit. First thing last; The restaurant was super cool inside with the layout. Totally nailed the old diner vibe. I brought my family to eat here they're visiting from out of town. When we arrived there were no people waiting in front of us and said it'd be a 15 minute wait. Then they proceeded to sit a family immediately (same amount in our party however it seemed they either knew them or maybe even money was exchanged to be sat first?) Never in my life have I felt mistreated or overlooked this horribly by a restaurant establishment. When we spoke to Quinton the manager he gave us the excuse that they were a smaller party and technically they were not able to put a high chair in the aisle.
