I've been contemplating giving it a 5 star review. So for some of my past reviews I've even considered to deduct stars off. Now that is not to say I didn't enjoy my meal here, I've loved the food every single time, it's just that there are a few bits and pieces that made me reluctant to give a full 5 stars. I've always enjoyed their sandwiches. While they come in quite on the expensive side, I find them worth the price. My French toast this morning was $19.50 (or $19), probably not for the faint of heart. The raspberry/custard was gorgeous, which to me more than justifies the price, it is winter after all. Here's why there's no five stars. First off, please please please get your cutleries sorted!!! I think I can cut my French toast better if I used the handle of the knife. The first knife I got was super obviously bent at the tip, about 45 degrees bent! Service, just as others pointed out, needs some quality control. I can try to justify your price as much as I can but dining in just isn't that great, and while your food is great, everything else is, well, meh. So on the basis of "I value good food more than anything", it's a 4 stars UPDATE: Service has improved since my last visit. It was a busy lunch but we still got taken care of :)

I like that it came with some butter on the side. They warmed it up and so I used some of the butter and it was delish. It had a slight crust and was chewy on the inside. My iced latte was okay as I wish it had a stronger coffee flavor. They do offer a bunch of baked goods that look scrumptious and wanted to try more.

After paying I sat down in a little reading nook, decorated with a couch, coffee table and BOOKS! How awesome! My coffee came out right away so I was able to enjoy it a bit before my meal came. My omelette came out on a skillet and was absolutely delicious. The vibe in this cafe was relaxed and welcoming - I could've stayed for hours! But I had errands to run, so alas I left. Our friends have enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and service at Frasers many times before with their other friends during weekends so they were familiar with the neighborhood. The streets were narrow, so street parking was limited; we opted to park in one of the nearby paid parking lots. This charming neighborhood evolved from its 19th-century European colonial farming and flour mills to today's commercial center on Mt Eden Road. The narrow streets of this area showed its transition from a horse-drawn bus route for business people and residents to the introduction of the electric tramway. Also, the buildings that had been built during the late 19th century now have new businesses in them, which maintain the historical vintage appearance. Walking into Frasers, we were comforted by its retro-modern coffeehouse interior and a host immediately greeted us to seat our group. The host provided us with menus and also encouraged us to take a peek at their freshly made in-house pastries. It was good to see such a varied assortment of savory and sweet products, which we all agreed would complement hot coffee beverages. Our server/host was friendly and quite expressive while describing the menu items. We placed our food and beverage orders with him, and within a few minutes, he brought us perfectly brewed coffee beverages, two at a time, from the barista. Meanwhile, because we had requested that some of our pastries be heated, he delivered them after serving the coffee. The coffee beverages were served at a perfect temperature and complemented our snack selections. We were impressed by the friendly and efficient service, the flavors and textures of the pastries we tried, and the value. However, the noise level in this coffee house seemed a bit loud, especially with the music playing, and there were times during our coffee break when our friends or we couldn't hear the entire conversation at the table without raising our voices. I was in Auckland for a day/night and found out about Mojo from all of you lovely Yelpers out there…read more:) We stayed the night in the Skycity Grand and walked over to Mojo from there. It was a few blocks away, and some hills worthy of mentioning (especially when you're pushing a 40-pound, 4-year-old uphill in a stroller), but anyway.... IT WAS SO WORTH IT! Wow, yum. I've had a lot of muesli since moving to New Zealand (it must be on every breakfast menu) and this one eeked it's way into first place. Really, it was right there at the top (see my picture). The coffees were awesome, though I don't prefer hot drinks to be served in glasses ('cuz they get too hot to hold) but I would have happily endured a few minor finger burns to gulp down that caffienated goodness. The only minor issue here was the seating (for us, with 2 kiddos). It's a lovely, long table through the center of the room (the decor is light and beautiful) but it's slightly socially awkward when everyone else is sitting at the far other end of the table (presumably, to avoid the kiddos). That said, however, one of the chefs was super nice to us, brought us lots of extra napkins (pre-emptively) and played peek-a-book with my 1-year-old while we ate and kept him occupied in the stroller. A high chair at the end of that beautiful table would surely have ruined the scene (but would have been helpful). In spite of these little things, our overall experience was excellent. Even my husband said so, and that's saying something :) We will happily come back here every time we are in the area.

Located just up from Glassons and right next to Renkon, this new cafe is easy to spot - you won't miss the bright blue building and outdoor seating. Inside, the decor is light, bright and you can either sit at the very long table in the middle or at the window bar, which would be great for people-watching! Now, onto the food! Couldn't believe how many options there were! From their breakfast and lunch meals (they cook everything fresh to order), to sweet treats from Amandine, raw cheesecakes from The Raw Kitchen, plus amazing paninis (I like the prosciutto one), sandwiches and muffins etc. And we can't forget the coffee! I have to be honest, I didn't actually try one...instead I saw Kombucha (organic probiotic tea) on the menu and had never tried it so I finally did! But if their coffee is as good as their Vulcan Lane store, then I'm sold! Strong, extra hot coffee, just how I like it! If you're not a coffee lover, they also serve an array of drinks, such as sodas, kombucha (as mentioned above), juices, smoothies (I've got my eye on the cacao one) and Hopt soda! So excited to see a cafe in the CBD selling Hopt - made my day! Overall, had a great time at the new Mojo - now just gotta eat and drink my way through the whole menu!
