This is a qualified four stars. There are better places in Metrowest to get Japanese and Thai food. But when I go to Dah Mee, I order the Korean entrees, because that's where this restaurant excels. If you've never had Korean food, try to Ok Dol Bibim Bop--a combination of rice, vegetables and either beef, chicken or seafood (my favorite) served in a hot stone bowl with Korean flavorings and a spicy sauce on the side (you don't even need the sauce). It is a real treat, as are most of the Korean offerings. read more

I would give it 2.5 stars if I could. The owner is really lovely and has a soft spot for me because I'm Korean. She treats me like I'm her daughter and always gives me a side of kimchi with my meal. During my last visit, she even gave me child rearing and marriage advice when I told her I recently got engaged. That being said, the Korean food is...meh. Perhaps it's to cater to a more Caucasian crowd, but I wasn't happy with a lot of their dishes. Their bibimbap and yookae jang are quite good, but their kimchi jigae was awful...awful awful. As far as their Thai dishes are concerned, I only had the pad thai once and I remember it being edible and decent. I think I would say that any Korean who is from Korea or very familiar with how the food should taste would be less than happy with the food. However, for unfamiliar palates, Dah Mee serves its purpose and can hit a spot for people in the metrowest craving Korean food. read more

Being the only korean restaurant in the area, I visited Dah Mee on a friday night. As soon as I walked in, the decoration and the set up of the restaurant caught my eyes. It was cute little restaurant with variety of food from Thai, Korean to Japanese. I could cleary tell the owner (hostess) was Korean, but I just asked for a seating in English (I can speak Korean fluently). She said, "wait 1 minute," but that has turned into 15 minute of just standing at the door when we were the only people waiting. They seemed understaffed (1 hostess doing the cashiering, 2 waitresses). We finally sat down, and ordered 3 korean entrees: Spicy pork bok eum, Tang sook yook, and yook ge jang. All three dishes -- No taste! Tang soo yook seemed like it was made with beef when it was supposed to be with pork, and the breading of the meat was very soggy, which fell apart very easily when eating. Spicy pork bok eum was decent, but however, it was just way too plain. Also finally, the yook ge jang had no special taste. I asked it to be extra spicy, and that was all it was: just spicy. Would I recommend this place? Not for korean.. Please order something else: maybe thai or japanese. Too bad this was the only kr place I could find in Framingham area (20 minute radius).. but I wouldn't go back there myself. read more

Normally I worry when places mix different Asian cuisines, but Dah Mee seems to do an okay job pulling it off. Normally I prefer Thai, although after dining there with a friend, he encouraged me to try the Korean dish, Ok Dol Bi Bim Bab (Stone Pot). I found this do be delicious and healthy. I went to this restaurant with a friend on a normal thursday evening because I wanted some lo mein and it's within walking distance from my apartment. I first notice the place has a nice 'local' feel and the wait staff are casual and friendly. The atmosphere is nice but predictable for this setting. First i ordered the Spring roles which were crisp and tasty. Then I had the lo mein with chicken, shrimp, and a very generous amount of fresh vegetables paired with a dry sake. My dinner partner had the crispy Pad Thai which was as equally pleasant, paired with a chardonay. No complaints about the food and the prices were more than reasonable. Once we were done eating however, my dinner partner and I would have stayed for another glass of wine and sake except we were served the check before offered anything else. I'll go again because it is convenient and the food was good but I guess its not a place for a few light drinks after dinner. read more

Terribly unfriendly staff. They have a sense of false pride in their food, and are very rude, especially if you ask for the "free" stuff like hot sauce or soy sauce. I have been going to Dah Mee with my family since I was very young. The consistently delicious food and kind, caring staff keeps us coming back every time! My personal favorites are the Raider Maki and the chicken pad see ew. Their Thai iced tea is delicious as well. this is a great place to take your friends or family, as it is not overly expensive, but you know you will get great food and great service every time! read more

I've got serious issues with this place. The food itself is okay but it fills a need for Korean cuisine in the area (there's such little good Korean in metro Boston it makes me sad). What really takes it down a few notches are two things. 1) Korean restaurants that charge for kim chi should be illegal. That's just sacrilege. 2) Once I tried to order a few items for lunch on a weekend, took out a lunch menu from the counter, and proceeded to talk to the owner and placed my order. She then charges me DINNER prices for the items I ordered while she clearly saw I was holding the lunch menu and said they don't do lunch on weekends. That kind of bait and switch behavior should never be tolerated which is why I'll never go back. read more

When I order thai red curry, and you put a little pepper next to it indicating it is hot, it should be hot. My chicken was not. Second time this happened. Even though they're supposed to be open til 9:30pm, I was turned away at 8:56pm. The lady at the register has a clock that was ten minutes fast, and she was happy to inform me that the kitchen is closed. Got some dish with assorted raw fish over rice. My bf said he's gotten it many times before and it used to be excellent, but when we came it was a huge disappointment. The raw fish was not chilled prior, and it was lukewarm. It didn't taste fresh, and was definitely overpriced for what it was. Just seemed like their was no effort put into the dish. I've been getting lunch or dinner from Dah Mee at least twice a month for the past 6 years. The owner Mrs. Lee is friendly and happy to answer questions for first-time diners there. After 2 or 3 visits, the head waitress will recognize you and also remember the dishes you've ordered in the past. :) As for the food itself... all I can say is that each dish that I've ordered over the years has been a delight. Here's the list: KOREAN * Duk Man Du Guk -- excellent rice cake & dumpling soup with beef, especially good to order on a cold winter day. When I ordered this dish on a weekday during lunch, the owner stopped by my table to ask if I was Korean (I'm not). Apparently, very few people order this dish, which is a shame because it's really good! * Mandoo -- moon-shaped dumplings that just melt in your mouth when you order them steamed (and not pan fried). I usually get the beef mandoo, but the chicken mandoo is pretty good too. Even though this is an appetizer, I like to order two dishes of beef mandoo for lunch. Very satisfying when I have a dumpling craving! * Jab Chae -- stir-fried clear noodles with vegetables, perfect for when I have a noodle craving. It's easily good for two meals, so I usually order this for dinner. * Soon Duboo Jigae -- soft tofu, veggies, & rice mixed with hot sauce. I normally don't order anything spicy off the menu but this dish is an exception. THAI * Pad See Yew -- noodle dish very similar to beef & broccoli chow foon. I order this dish when I have a craving for chow foon. It's usually less greasy than the way that chow foon is made at some Chinese restaurants, which is nice. * Rama Garden -- steamed veggies with peanut sauce on the side. I order this dish when I'm trying to eat super healthy. There are lots of veggies in this dish, usually enough for two meals unless you have a big appetite. JAPANESE * Sashimi -- salmon and tuna sashimi are both recommended. The cuts of fish are fresh and good sized. If you want a wider variety of sashimi, the "Sashimi Lunch" is a good choice with 12 cuts of different fish. * Unagi Don -- eight slices of grilled unagi (fresh water eel) over a bed of sushi rice. The sauce used to glaze the unagi is quite unique. The unagi itself is tender and melts in your mouth. I normally wouldn't comment on rice, but the rice tastes great when soaked with the sauce. My husband orders a completely different set of dishes than me, but he's ordered the following many times for dinner over the past 6 years: KOREAN -- Seafood Madness THAI -- Chicken Basil JAPANESE -- Spicy Tuna Maki I look forward to many more years of eating Korean, Thai, and Japanese food from Dah Mee! read more

I took a star off for what I heard is missing. I ate something similar to "Bulgogi," but mixture of meat and shrimp on October 16, 2014. There was no side dish at all. I added "Kimchi" at extra cost. The price for one person was $21.95 before adding tip. Later I heard the following things, and decided to post about them at Yelp. In Korean food, it is pretty typical that a set of multiple small-amount side dishes (one of them is Kimchi) is included. The price does not seem much lower even with the omission of a set of side dishes. More things seem to be pre-mixed with meat and shrimp than in "Bulgogi" at other Korean restaurants, but it still seems that some things are missing when compared to other restaurants' "Bulgogi," etc. read more

This is a consistently reliable, good restaurant, their prices and portions are super fair. I love the Bim bim bab, and the Tom Yum Shrimp soup is a must when I have a bad cold (clears out your sinuses!!). For lunch the lunch boxes are a great value, the only thing I've had here that has been less than great is the sushi. The hot tea is good too, the place is super clean, service is fast friendly and efficient. read more

Giving this place a 2 star is being generous on my part. I was recently in Natick to go shopping, and wanted to stop by a Korean restaurant since I haven't been to one in awhile. This was the only one that had decent reviews comparable to the others one. I was a little confused as to why they had such a variety of Korean, Japanese and Thai food, which could be a good thing, but it makes me think they do one type of dish better than the other. Anyways, once we walked in and got seated, I noticed there were no condiments, no big deal, but a bit odd since most to even all restaurants I've been to at least have salt and pepper on the side. We order the Seafood Pa Jun large, Basil Pad Thai and Yook Gye Jang. I've tasted plenty of authentic Korean food, so it's really hard for me to not be a bit bias on how I like the same product from a different place. When we first received the pancake, my friend and I noticed that it wasn't really hot; it came out warm to the point of almost cold. The second thing that my friend and I noticed was that despite the pancake looking really tasty on the outside, underneath it was burnt, and you could taste the burnt pancake even if you put sauce in it. This is more so to me then my friend, but the pancake was a doughy. I'm used to a medium thickness with crunch on the outside and some soft doughy parts on the inside, but like I said it could just be my preference. We were so hungry that we really didn't have time to complain and we ate half of the plate,lol. The next plate was the Yook Gye Jang, to put in short, it was really flavorless, which the salt would have came in handy for. All you could taste was spicy water. They did have a decent amount of beef. The next plate was the Basil Pad Thai, which my friend and I really enjoyed. The flavor combination was up to par. My friend told me that some of the chicken would come out perfect, some tasted raw or for me, some tasted like it was overcooked. The customer service was okay, nothing really great nor bad. I'm also used to paying the prices that the dishes are, but when only one of the dishes was at least decent, I was very disappointed. We might just only come back for the Pad Thai, or not come back at all. read more

My wife enjoys the sushi which is fresh. The service is fast and simple, don't expect to have your group treated specially like other reviews seem to expect. This is a nice place. It gets crowded during lunch and weekend evenings. I have been here quite a few times for lunch and dinner. The food here is tasty. Everytime i go here, I order one of the following: Crazy Noodles, Basil Chicken Fried Rice, Stone Pot Bimbimbob. If you havent tried it, you should try the Stone Pot. The quantity has been decreasing though. Also there have been times during dinner, when the owner would try to push us pay the bill and leave after we finished eating. The food is average to slightly above average but the service is terrible. The waiters are slow and unhelpful in answering any questions about the menu. The atmosphere is very bland and could definitely use something so you don't feel like you are in a psych ward. This restaurant does have potential and I refuse to give up on it just yet. This place is such a rip off don't waste your money. Upon getting home tonight and finding our take out container half full it was the last straw. Last time we ordered pad thai with shrimp there were maybe 3 shrimp in the whole thing. Every time we order take out from here we feel like we got ripped off somehow, its really frustrating. Food is not bad but they are way over priced for what it is and what you get. Definitely going somewhere else from now on. read more

We love Dah Mee. It's not that it's the best food you'll ever eat for any of their individual types of cuisines (Korean, Japanese (including sushi) and Thai), but it is solid for all types. I am a big fan of their stone pot dishes (I can't even pronounce the Korean name for it... Ok Dol Bi Bim Bab) which you can get with your choice of brown or white rice and vegetarian, beef, chicken, seafood or pork, so there's something there for everyone. The service is good, though it can get crowded at times and sometimes the pacing on sushi can be a problem if a lot of customers are ordering sushi at the same time. Sushi not quite as good as Oga or Fugakyu and Oishii in Sudbury, but it's solid and we get it most times we got there. We have ordered large sushi platters here for parties before too and they were reasonably priced and done exactly as we ordered. Nice people here and a very pleasant dining experience most nights. Occasionally, the crowds back them up a bit, but typically a great spot. Definitely worth a try! read more

Dah Mee is now an office favorite for a quick, delicious lunch out during the work week. PROS: Food is always out in 15 minutes, even when I've gone with large groups or 10 or more people. I went to Dah-Mee for lunch. It was my very first visit. My experience was pretty mediocre. While the curry sauce for the Thai yellow curry dish was pretty good, the vegetables and chicken tasted a bit bland maybe because the cooking time was rather short. The rice of the sushi was not very flavorful either. Moreover, I was not offered soy sauce (- nowhere to be found on any table around there either), and the waitress never came around to see whether I needed anything else. Thus, the service side was not good at all. Perhaps it was a bad idea to order anything Japanese here in the first place, because "Dah Mee" (the meaning of which I don't know or care to know) sounds very similar to a Japanese expression meaning "No Good". It is highly unlikely I will return. read more

I am absolutely DONE with ordering from this restaurant ever again. We have lived in Natick for a decade and have ordered from here dozens of times. However, the food has gone downhill in recent years with smaller portions and crummy quality. The staff are always rude, inattentive and appear to be completely annoyed when you ask them for anything whatsoever. I asked for a little extra sauce on my noodle dish on my most recent order and the woman on the phone literally yelled at me simply for asking (so I canceled my order). I have worked in the food industry for years and cannot believe the lack of care for customers these people have. They will not get my service anymore.
