A friend chose this spa for an R&R girls' date. What a great find! I'm happy to know about this…read moreplace and that they're so close to my home. We both opted for the 60-min massage/30-min facial combo, which was $150 (a little less if you paid in cash). You could choose your massage style and pressure, and I went with a Swedish massage with medium-firm pressure and it was perrrrrrfect. I've had massages where I'm sore or could hardly move afterward, but this one left me in a state of bliss for several hours afterward. They also offered add-ons like hot stones or food scrubs (I was too scared to note that they could walk on my back and legs, so I skipped that part!) Our massage therapists started on time and they were friendly and attentive, asking a few times if the pressure was OK. I loved every minute of it. The facial was amazing too, and the combination of products and the facial/neck/head massage was dreamy. I felt like a clean, 100% refreshed lady afterward. Front desk staff is also very nice, and they offer tea or water before and after services. The waiting area and private rooms have soft music, dark walls and low light, and trickling fountains. No sales pitches afterward, too! They have a free parking lot in the back, too! Can't wait to visit this place again!

I really appreciate them taking the time to make better of this situation. --------------------------------------- Disappointed to say the least. Called ahead of time for a 90 minute massage. Once I got in the room and my masseuse met me, she stated I'd be receiving a 60 minute massage. I explained I booked for a 90 minute massage. She left and asked the receptionist and they denied me of a 90 minute massage - if I had known this was the case, I would have gone elsewhere. The massage begins and it was as if the massage wasn't in the room with us. I kept needing to ask for more pressure, and it did get harder but never got there. I asked maybe 8 times until I was just completely over it. I sat there and thought, thank god this is only 60 minutes, what a complete waste. It felt like the lotion did more work than the hands. The massage concluded, and she left for a hot towel & guess what? No hot towels. Typically wouldn't be a big deal but was just the icing on the cake. When I went to check out, I explained to the receptionist that I did not enjoy my massage and I had told her I booked for a 90 minute. All she responded with was "I wrote down 60". The compassion and customer service was also not in the room with us. From what I've gathered, they wanted to leave early. Safe to say worst massage experience, would highly recommend going elsewhere.

This review is long overdue…read more I have been going to RA Organic Spa for over 20 years. I have visited other resorts and spas, but I'm always grateful that I found RA and can keep coming back. The feeling of comfort and serenity is abundant the moment you walk in. They greet you by name when you arrive and again when you leave. The lobby is small but very welcoming. They offer plenty of products for purchase, but they never hard-sell you. When you check in, there is a small waiting area where you can sit with hot tea, water, and small snacks while you wait. Please make sure to turn off your cell phone--this is a quiet zone, so whispering or no talking is encouraged. The dim lighting really makes you feel like you've stepped into another world. There is also another waiting area in the back if you need to change into a robe for your service. There is actually a lot of space back there to relax while waiting. The treatment rooms themselves are warm and comfortable, and each room has a closet for your personal items. In the back area, they also have changing spaces and lockers. There are two changing areas, along with a room that has chairs specifically for foot and neck massages. I highly, highly, highly recommend the foot massage. They take it to the next level because they start with your neck and arms before moving to the foot massage. I dare you to try not to fall asleep by the time they're done. I have seen the spa when they are busy and when they are slow, and I have never seen it dirty or unkempt. The level of cleanliness and the standards maintained by the staff have always been excellent. I've never had trouble booking an appointment. I've also given gift certificates to family members and friends, and three people I know now go there regularly because of those gifts. Their prices are by far some of the best in the industry. You simply cannot find a facial at the price they offer at RA. I've looked, and I can't find anything comparable. If you want a facial, I highly highly recommend Maria. She has truly turned back time on my skin with the facials she gives me. She listens to your needs and walks you through the products she uses to make sure they match what your skin needs and what you're looking for. She genuinely cares. Under new management, they have recently added online booking through their website, which is wonderful. I'm looking forward to another great 20 years going to RA--ugh, I just aged myself! A few additional notes: they do have a sauna, bathrooms, and one bathroom includes a shower. Parking can be a little tricky. There is structure parking and street parking, but the street parking is timed. I do have a great parking spot that I like to use... but I can't tell you where it is. It's my secret spot. Sorry!

I would love to share my experience from my first visit to Kosha Spa…read more From the very first step inside, I felt an incredibly cozy and calming atmosphere -- the space immediately puts you at ease. I had a facial massage, and it was truly exceptional. I left feeling completely relaxed, yet at the same time noticed a beautifully visible lifting effect. You can really tell they know what they're doing, and the difference is huge. This spa is everything that you would regularly expect from a Korean spa, and had all the amenities that are typical, without anything extra. AMAZING DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE BY BODA!!!…read more First off, I was asked before the massage what pressure I like, and then during the massage, boda also asked me if the pressure was ok. I LOVE a very deep tissue massage, I have a lot of pain in my neck and shoulders and I've tried so many massage places and I never leave feeling satisfied, I always wish they spent more time on the areas I asked. She released so many knots and I had tears from the relief I felt . No one can ever give me enough pressure, and she was STRONG. I'm 100lb female and at no point was boda hurting me at all. BODA stayed true to a deep tissue massage, while also incorporating Thai, Swedish, shiatsu, and even sports massage techniques. She stretched my neck and back in ways that gave me a release I've never had from massage. Her vibe was calm, and sweet, and the overall place was nice. It really is a secret hole in the wall spot. I won't go anywhere else for a massage after this honestly. For the first time in 15 years I woke up in the morning without shoulder and neck pain. Very professional, and I felt very comfortable. Thank you BODA. I will be back :) Please try this place out if you are in the area, You can't beat it. I paid 70$ for an hour massage and gave a 20$ tip .

I've been a Burke Williams member for years -- mostly visiting the Hollywood location, and more…read morerecently Woodland Hills since moving to the Valley. A friend recommended the Sherman Oaks branch, so I emailed the manager ahead of time for therapist recommendations. First impression: if it's your first time here, finding the location can be confusing. There aren't any large Burke Williams signs, and I actually had to call the branch to confirm they were inside the mall area. Parking is also a bit of a walk, and signage could definitely be improved. For reference, they're located next to 24 Hour Fitness on the second floor, Building A. Once inside, though, the experience improved immediately. I was greeted right away by two friendly receptionists, and check-in was quick and easy. Since it was my first time at this location, I asked if someone could show me around -- honestly, that probably should've been offered proactively. The men's spa attendant gave me a tour, and the interior reminded me a lot of the West Hollywood location: darker, older, and more traditional in style. One thing another Yelper mentioned was absolutely true -- the place feels like a maze, especially since the massage rooms are upstairs on another level. My therapist, Giovanni, was great. He asked about my preferred pressure before the session started, although he didn't really check in during the massage itself. That said, he definitely has his own massage style, and overall I enjoyed the treatment. The men's spa area was surprisingly quiet, which made for a peaceful experience. The steam room wasn't quite hot enough for me, so I ended up spending more time in the sauna instead. Overall, I had a nice experience and would come back. Just a heads-up about parking: it's validated at a discounted rate, but if you stay longer, it can add up. Hollywood still has the best parking situation since it's free, while Woodland Hills offers a flat $3 rate.

The receptionist didn't ask if I'd been there before or if I needed any direction. Ok. I went through the door and wandered the hall for a moment when I was able to quietly catch someone. I told her I had no idea where to go or what to do. She kindly directed me to the locker room, found my locker, and brought a pair of slippers that fit. My masseuse met me outside the locker room and led me to the massage room. She asked me if there were areas that I'd like focused on. Yes. (A pinched nerve on the right side of my back and I love a head massage.) Great. I guess she forgot about the pinched nerve. So I waited through the fine 80 minute formulaic massage for her to work on the grand finale of my head. Two minutes. Yes a grand total of two minutes if I'm being generous. Thanks. Two stars because it could be worse. But no thanks. Not for this price. Go somewhere else.
