This was my first time here and I didn't see reviews until now. I don't agree with the negative comments although I was there for a quick snack and drinks. The bartender was so nice. I wish I got her name. She was really engaged with the customers and I didn't feel out of place as a newbie. They clearly have locals and regulars but no difference in service from my perspective. Great draft beer choice. Amazing lunch specials. It was Wednesday so they had $2 tacos all day. I chose 2 chicken with lettuce and tomato. The chicken was shredded and seasoned well. A nice spicy flavor. The taco had a lot of meat. 2 tacos completely filled me up. They also have lunch specials from 12-2pm. I tasted one of the $1 wings. Crispy and meaty but came on a plate drowned in sauce (5 wings). No blue cheese or celery. The price is good but there are other $1 wing specials at other places that are better. Been here a lot since I'm local. The menu is hit or miss but more hits. Can't go wrong with Jumbo wings. Lots of sauces to choose from. I like traditional or sweet Thai chili. Haven't been here in legitimately 15 years. I now regret taking such a long gap. The wings were really good ! And I call myself a wing snob! The staff is super nice. I am someone easing my way back in the world post Covid and I felt completely comfortable. They lots of different spaces that allot you to be away from people if you want. Late review -- we were there on the night of July 31, 2015 Came here with my wife and In-laws on a Friday night. Never been to Dadz Bar & Grill before, but my In-laws had been a few times, they liked the place, and I trusted their opinion (even though I had read several negative reviews from fellow Yelpers). We shared two orders of the fresh mozzarella sticks to start off with -- everyone at the table agreed that they were very fresh and tasty, an excellent appetizer. My father-in-law recommended a half rack of ribs, so we both ordered that. My wife went with six BBQ flavor jumbo wings, and my mother-in-law ordered a buffalo chicken flatbread pizza. Everyone was happy with their meals, ribs were tender, almost "fall-off-the-bone" quality. Sauce on mine had good flavor. My wife liked her wings (meaty with a crispy outer coating, seemed to be a homemade sauce), and the flatbread pizza was very tasty (my mother-in-law shared it with me, I liked it a lot). I had a Kane Head High from their dirty tap, it tastes like carbonated piss water. Unbelievable! I had this same ale from The Yard House, it tasted unbelievably good, as it should. The food was probably the worst garbage I had at any local bar. I tried something called "Pub Beef." It looked like the pre-digested vomit that mother birds feed their chicks. I started coming to Dadz in 2012 while stationed at Fort Dix. Back then there was an all you can eat wing night and a all you can eat rib night. I loved both!! I loved Dadz because it was a local business with great food. Fast forward 10 years, I haven't been to Dadz since about 2014 and while visiting town on business I couldn't resist driving to NJ just for their ribs. I didn't expect things to be as they were almost a decade ago because of course cooks change etc however I was highly disappointed. My ribs came out cold. They didn't taste as I remembered nor close. I will say- I've spent the past 5yrs living in Texas so maybe my BBQ expectations are different but again that doesn't have anything to do with my food being cold. Worst wings I've had in a really long time. So, on the menu they have 6 wings listed at $8 or $9. That's quite high. However, since I love wings I figure they must be damn good wings to be listed that high. So I order 6 Togo. What a terrible decision that was. The wings were not only average size, but basically disgusting. They weren't crispy. They were soggy. You read that right. SOGGY WINGS. They're obviously frozen wings and then I guess deep fried? This is my go to bar for beer and sports, and normally that would probably be worth 5 stars BUT... do not ever order food here unless you are planning to hang out for a while. Even during the Lunch hour, food takes a minimum half hour to get out in my experience. It's not bad food, but the wait is pure ridiculousness. Three other couples walked in, ordered food and drinks, and still no food. I asked the server why no food after 45 minutes? She responded with she didn't know. The service was horrible! My friends had fanny packs and no one said anything at the front about guys not allowed to have bags which is dumb in my opinion because it's a bar. They checked ID twice, once when going inside and once we were seated. They were quick to come check ID's but even after sitting for twenty minutes, no one came to take our orders. YUCK! So so disappointed with the $60 worth of takeout tonight. The margarita pizza arrived extremely small, burnt and cold. It was flatbread for $11.99!!!! The burger was ordered medium well and it arrived medium rare and also cold with a side of coleslaw in a container the size of a ketchup cup. The coleslaw was bad and tasted nasty. We also ordered quesadillas and they were cold and just OK to the taste. I would not recommend ordering from here during the pandemic. Been coming here for years but lately the quality of the food and service has gone DOWN hill.. Tonight I came in and ordered a bowl of chilly, I was served a cup of chilly with a handle on it to look like a bowl, and it wasnt even hot temp wize or heat wize just wasn't worth $5.99. Then ordered garlic wings, there was plenty of oil but seriously lacked garlic. Another disappointment. I think Dadz need to hire better cooks n servers. Sorry to give this place a bad review but there just not doing as good as they use to read more

I've been a fan of this place for years and I've always thought they had the best wings around. So much so, I drove from 2 counties away just to get them. I don't know what happened but, the last few times we were there, the wings were not anywhere near as good as we have had in the past. We went tonight with guests from out of town (after bragging about the place) and waited 20 minutes to get drinks, and another 30 minutes for 3 of our 4 orders. The last order finally came out and it was wrong so my guest from out of town got her order as we were finishing ours. Not to mention we waited another 20 minutes after asking for drink refills. At one point, they had TWO places... one on 541 in Burlington (Now "Canal's) and Dadz. The folks at Dadz don't seem to know the items on the old "Sunset" menu, which is a bummer. They had a great BBQ chicken sandwich with their own sauce, cheese, and bacon. It's a pain to describe it each time you order it, and it never comes out the same way you asked for it. Looking from the street, you would think this was a nice bar, but its a little dive-y, even w the new additions. As soon as you enter, you're not greeted hello not even from security standing at the door and you have to navigate yourself to the dining area. The ribs were good but didn't taste like they were cooked in a smoker, maybe the oven then grilled for a nice char. But the homemade bbq sauce? Was phenomenal!! This place was terrible!!! T E R R I B L E ! The service was awful for a nearly empty bar. The place is filthy with flys included. The bar had random crumbs on it from who knows when. It had to be 85 degrees in there with only one fan on. The deck was basically empty and the cooler of the two bars was closed. The food was so so at best. The wings were mediocre served dry in a plate like bowl where you had to stir your own wings to get sauce on them because all of the sauce was settled on the bottom with the chicken grease. The sauce was just ok nothing great I wouldn't get it again. Between my tab and my friends we spent over 100 bucks with not a single buy back. To the bartenders credit she was very nice and did just about everything behind the bar from food service making drinks pouring beers and taking orders. Unfortunately the other people who worked there did nothing. If I could give this bar one piece of advice it would be to call spike tv and hope and pray John Taffer can rescue this place. So a group of us (4) stopped in at 8:30 pm this past Saturday night for a quick meal. We are in our mid sixties mind you, not the typical clientele that frequent this establishment. We walk up to the entrance and are greeted by 3 security guys. One of the men proceeds to invade the space of one of the women in our group with a metal detector/scanner, then checking the others while another asks us to pay a $5.00 cover charge to enter before placing a band on our wrists. The 3rd one asks all of us to show our IDs and checked our handbags. ???? we definitely were not young kids! One asks if we sing karaoke, which we promptly said no. So my questions are: Why did we get charged $5.00 to eat here? Why were we carded? Why didn't we just turn around and leave? 1. It was karaoke night. The karaoke stage was in another room separate from where we were seated. 2. Everyone is carded we were told. 3. It was already late in the evening and we were hungry. Food was poor. There's generally always seating in the back area (even on a weekend), the bar is HUGE, the prices are silly cheap, and even the people in the dancing/karaoke area seemed to be having a good time.
