Delicious cajun food, $16 weekday Lunch: Blackened catfish Po'Boy with +$2 famous sweet potato fries as the side; The service is friendly: made my Mocha $4 as the drink. In short, with nice southern music and vintage decoration, the restaurant is worth the recommendations.

ribs were decent charred edges had flavor but nothing made me crave more after finishing

U will be surprise how busy is this place ..... tried oyster and wings , really tasty Service was really good , stuff really friendly

They don't have a porter or kitchen manager. My server kept trying to have me for brunch by reaching under the table for my real halo, if you know what I mean.

Dadeo is located on the popular whyte av. The food is New Orleans southern cuisine. The restaurant is decorated like the 50s which is really cool. Reservations are strongly recommended as the restaurant is quite small. The service at Dadeo is amazing. I ordered the tofu sandwich that comes with a side of hash and slaw. The sandwich is quite mediocre to be honest. It is quite lackluster when it comes to flavour. The tofu wasn't seasoned well which made it just a block of tofu in a sandwich. It comes with cucumbers, tomatoes, and lettuce. The side of hash is more like a potato salad but quite delicious. The slaw is very bland. Overall the menu seemed quite outdated and lackluster. I think introducing some potent flavors or spices could make it better. Still have high hopes for this restaurant.

Really prompt service! Had the crab cakes which are flatter than the appetizer version

The calamari po'boy sandwich looked as delicious as it tasted! There was a generous amount of calamari inside and everything was well seasoned. Next time I will dine in to get a better sense of how the sandwich tastes when it's first made. Unfortunately, the bread was no longer warm and crispy when I arrived at home. But the flavours were still great! The sweet potato fries were amazing! They were bigger than I'm used to seeing and they were battered! This was my first time having sweet potato fries like these. They were well seasoned and delicious! For dessert I had their key lime pie. For me the key lime pie is a must have. It's so good and almost too easy to eat! It's tart, sweet, and melts in your mouth. I love it! Overall, I enjoyed my takeout meal from here. I will definitely need to dine in to experience the food when it first comes out. Definitely recommend!

High energy place with great food and great staff! You feel very welcome here. The decor is really cool retro diner theme. Their jalapeño pepper jelly is so good! I always look forward to visiting Dadeo - just make sure you make a reservation as it's always packed! Their sweet potato fries are the best I've had anywhere. And the bread pudding is sublime...I think about this dessert sometimes at random times lol.

This was our first visit and definitely won't be our last. The staff were awesome and the recommendations were spot on. The food was fantastic and the chili lager was amazing. If you like Cajun food...oysters...poor boys...this is a hidden gem. We had crab cakes, Bloody Mary oysters (AMAZING!!!), Fried oysters and the Combo Fabio. Thank you Dadeo for making our patio Saturday lunch spectacular.

Bananas Foster just before serving over ice cream

My wife and I have been coming here off and on for 15 years. With its Cajun/Creole cuisine, it has always been a special night out for us. Although the prices have crept up over the years, it's still worth a visit. The atmosphere is consistently chill. (Maybe it helps that it's licensing doesn't allow kids?) It's a 50's style cafe with jukeboxes on the table, classic bowling alley panels on the wall and friendly staff who are attentive but know how to take it easy. The po'boys are the go-to item on the menu, especially the blackened catfish or the calamari. I like the potato hash on the side but my wife splurges for the sweet potatoes fries. We've tried other items on the menu but those fantastic French loaf sandwiches keep calling out to me. The last time we went we tried something we'd never had before: Banana's Foster. A flambé caramel sauce prepared at your table and served over vanilla ice cream, it's quite the experience. It says it serves 2 but I would say it's better for 4. The sauce to ice cream ratio wasn't balanced right for two but the the experience of table side flambé was still awesome.

Finally checked out this place after going to many other restaurants on Whyte. All we had to do to reserve seats, was to call their phone number which was fairly easy. We arrived at the restaurant with no hassle and got seated immediately. For food, we ordered the Bayou Gumbo, Blackened Chicken Po'Boy and the Blackened Catfish Po'Boy. The gumbo was delicious! Very flavorful and not too salty. My boyfriend even said he could finish three more of these just for dinner if he hadn't ordered other things. Blackened Chicken Po'Boy- It tasted alright but wasn't anything super spectacular. Like a normal chicken sandwich. Jambalaya rice was a tasty side though Blackened Catfish Po'Boy- Now this was super yummy. I can see why other reviewers rave about it. The sauces mixed so well and the seasoning was perfect. I added yam fries as a side and it's one of the best yam fries I've ever had Service was okay. They were welcoming at the beginning but never checked on us during our whole meal. The atmosphere had a retro vibe and it really did feel like we were eating in a different era.

THEY ARE OPEN FOR TAKEOUT NOW. THANK YOU. Sometimes I can't believe I haven't reviewed a place! I love Dadeos. They have the best sweet potato fries in Edmonton. And the po'boys are on sale Monday and Tuesday for $12. Wings are $10 on Sundays in normal times. They have a good selection of drinks as well. Including a boozy iced tea. If you have any room left after all the carbs the desserts are really nice and the bananas foster is a flambé so it comes with a little entertainment!

Shrimp is the star seafood of the restaurant, but the menu includes many more foods: fish, (including salmon and fish & chips), calamari, jambalaya: from the farm (steak, chicken and ribs); salads and soups, deserts and a full drink menu. I had the New Orleans shrimp - a generous portion of grilled seasoned shrimps and rice, spicy sauce and diced veggies. It was so delicious, and the spicy sauce added great flavour to the dish!! Decoration of the restaurant I what you think: pictures, license plates, memorabilia, and a whole bunch of stuff seen in the movie "Forrest Gump." The movie was also played on one the many television sets in the restaurant. Service was very good, professional, and attentive, making the experience very good. So if you love shrimp, seafood, and "Forrest Gump," the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co restaurant is a good place to try or return.

Their food is 100% vegan, what you might expect to find in a diner or bar, decadent and hearty hearty hearty! If you want healthy, they do have three salad options to choose from. We went with the Buffalo Mac'n'Cheese, Poutine, Chkn Wings and ....oh my ... Deep Fried Oreos. We don't really have vegan Poutine options here in Seattle (if you know of any, please do drop a note in the comments section letting me know where) so it's always a treat going to Canada and comparing the various Poutine options as pretty much every vegan place has their own take. If you haven't been to visit yet, you owe it to yourself to try them out. If you find yourself visiting Edmonton, make a point to visit Whyte Avenue and walk up and down the strip checking out all of the store and most definitely, including The Buckingham in your visit.
