Well, pack your horses, folks, because the owners have officially transformed this place into a certified jewel in the desert. They are constantly running around, hyper-active for the customers. The service and drinks here are so good it's almost suspicious. The staff operates like a finely tuned, highly caffeinated machine. Here is a breakdown of the local legends making it happen: Shae, Bobby, Madi, Ally,Ali, Jonathan, Red, Nicole, Ryan, Rosa, Chris, gloria, the list goes on. The staff produce immaculate vibes, you want all that then go to a place where the staff works harder than an air conditioner in July, you get your butt to the Red Zone. It's no longer just a place to hide from the sun--it's the crown jewel of the town.

Ugh... it pains me to write this but I have to know what happened here!…read more We moved back to the area in December of last year and tried just about every sports bar in the area and settled on Redzone because of the fantastic food and amazing service... food so good, we swore by it and visited over and over throughout the winter months for brunch, football games, lunches, dinners... you name it! Fast forward to our past two experiences in mid summer and we are questioning what the hell happened?? We dropped in on a Tuesday night after work for a quick bite and a beer only to be met with a very subpar, grizzly and chewy prime rib sandwich (our go to!!!) and a salad in which we were given Dijon mustard instead of the honey we asked for. No big deal, off night... we joked the B squad must have been in to close up early on a quiet night... A couple of weeks later we drop in for a brunch outing with the kids after a swim lesson and the experience was that much worse. We ordered a simple pancakes and eggs for the kids a Benedict and sandwich for us. The place wasn't busy but it took 40+ minutes for the food to arrive only to find pancakes that were barely cooked... literally dough, potatoes that seemed to be a mix of old and new (some severely undercooked and cold) and a veggie Benedict that came out 15 minutes after the rest with a runny and very sour tasting sauce, needless to say we didn't eat each much of it and ended up having to get food elsewhere. Really not sure what to make of it, the reviews suggest a similar Jekyll and Hyde situation where it's a crap shoot as to what you're going to get... it's all well and good being scratch made but if you can't cook the food it doesn't matter. With the price of eating out these days being so high, we will be needing to take our business elsewhere which is really unfortunate as we loved this place. Two stars because the wait staff is amazing and the beer choice is on point!

When we arrived, one of the waitresses was handling a situation with two gentlemen who felt they were billed incorrectly. That small moment of acknowledgment goes a long way, and when it's missing, it can cost you customers. After waiting without any recognition, my husband and I decided to leave. So here's the thing: I recently moved kinda sorta into the area, and my drinking buddy asked if we wanted to stay local or wander elsewhere. My gut said, "Not around here" and listen, my intuition is usually correct. But then he pulls up this list of "Best Dive Bars in Phoenix," and apparently this gem made the cut. We walk in and BOOM! Instant time-warp, for me. I'm talking back-in-the-day bar with my mom doing karaoke while everyone chain-smoked indoors like it was a personality trait and I wasn't legal to be in there... only back then, no one cared. They call the place a "patio," but let's be honest: if nicotine had a spiritual home, it would be right here. If you're a non-smoker or someone who believes oxygen should be unobstructed by Marlboro ghosts, turn around. This is not your ministry. The bartender was an absolute icon. She announced she wasn't even supposed to be working, which is EXACTLY the kind of energy a true dive bar requires. She was slammed, running around like she was bartending both the Super Bowl and a family reunion, so the drinks took a looong while... but when they came? Suddenly I understood life again. And the karaoke... let me tell you. I went in there ready to sing something from this century. The options, however, politely declined. This was old-school karaoke, baby. Like, the kind of setup where you half expect to write your song down on a napkin and hand it to a man named Chuck. No new music that I could find. No modern selections from my lists. If you want to sing something post-2005, bring a Bluetooth speaker and emotional support. And yet? I had so much fun. Like... stupid fun. Unexpected fun. "Why am I having a euphoric experience inhaling secondhand smoke in 2026?" fun. I didn't get to check out the bathroom, which honestly might be a blessing or a missed adventure.... unclear. But everything else? Chef's kiss. Friends french fries were fresh and hot... and actual potato as far as we could tell... double kiss. Dive-bar perfection. If you want sterile, curated, Instagrammable vibes: run. If you want to scream-laugh, smell like nostalgia and cigarettes for three days, and hear music older than some of the patrons? This place is your destiny. Will I be back? Absolutely. Probably with eyeliner smudged like a raccoon and ready to request karaoke songs that don't exist there.
