But luckily we were able to visit finally. When we entered, we were greeted by an employee behind the counter. As we browsed through the store, eventually another employee manned the cash register. This employee had told us that they currently have some specials going on, which included some of their yogurt covered flavored raisins $3, in addition to the dark chocolate covered raisins bag for $3 (funny enough, I already had that bag in my hand, planning on purchasing when she said that). I ended up purchasing: Dark chocolate covered raisins- As I have gotten older, I have grown to appreciate the flavor of dark chocolate (before I really only liked milk chocolate and semi- sweet chocolate). But I actually have not tried this yet but getting this at $3 (prior to tax) is a steal. Vanilla yogurt dipped covered raisins- This container was also only $3. My husband and I really liked the raisins and actually made a snack mix of this with added nuts and edamame that I brought with us on our road trip. The added sweetness from these yogurt dipped raisins was very nice. Strawberry yogurt dipped covered raisins- Also got this container for $3 and did the same thing with the vanilla yogurt dipped covered raisins and added it to another snack mix with nuts and edamame. I actually liked the strawberry yogurt dipped covered raisins a little more than the vanilla yogurt dipped ones. Mini vanilla yogurt dipped covered raisins, box of 10 individual bags- My husband thought this would be good to have some ready to grab yogurt dipped raisins to have on hand for our road trip. The taste just like the other vanilla yogurt dipped covered raisins but just in a smaller portion. ------------------------------- (Total= $13.61 after tax and current special) After I paid and was offered to have my items placed on a bag, I was asked by an employee if I wanted a poster map. I said sure. If you like all things raisins, then this is a nice little store to visit. They also sell nuts and dried fruit (apricots and figs for example). They also sell Sun-Maid shirts and other memorabilia. Customer service was friendly and I would come back the next time I pass by (as long as it is during their operating hours). Please note that there are no restrooms here but around the corner is the visitor center. However during our visit, the visitor center was closed. But you can see the world's largest box of raisins around the corner and also a large mural cut out of the famous Sun-Maid mascot.

I want to start this review by saying I do not give low scores often. Even with that mindset, I…read morestruggled between a 1-star and a 2-stars review. I chose 2-stars because I did eat everything. I feel terrible because I know that a food truck is not an easy business to run. I love to give the benefit of the doubt to small business. Having that said, I feel like this meal was highway robbery...... I ordered the trio plate. I was told that it is the largest plate they have and the best way to sample all they have to offer. The selling point is that I was told it can feed two people or me twice. That was enough for me to order. After credit card fees, taxes and tip, I was out $30.00. For this price, my expectations are high. I figure if I can indeed eat twice, then $15.00/meal is a lot easier to justify. My food was ready quickly which was appreciated. When I grabbed the bag, I quickly noticed the weight wasn't as heavy as I was expecting. When I opened the container, I was quickly disappointed with the quantity of food I received for $30.00. Unfortunately, the quality wasn't up to par either. Don't take my word for it, see the picture. I'll start with the sides: Green Beans: These green beans looked nothing like the pictures on their menu. The picture on their menu shows fresh long green beans. These were 100% from a can. They were so soggy. Beans: Look at the picture. Look at how low they are filled. I had three spoon-fulls of actual beans and then a ton of watery sauce. The beans were also slightly undercooked. They had a bit of a crunch to them. They were a lot better than the Green Beans though. The meats: Pulled Pork: This was easily the best thing on my plate. The pork was tender and had a good amount of sauce. I highly recommend the pulled pork if you must eat here. The only problem is that I had three bites and it was gone. Tri-Tip: I had three tiny medallions of Tri-Tip. These were definitely cut toward the end of the tri tip. There was a lot of tough fat right in the middle of the Tri-Tip. Each tiny medallion had a 50/50 ratio of edible meat and fat. The flavor was nothing memorable. If this was someone's backyard BBQ, I would appreciate it and eat. However, I would in no way try to convince them to open a restaurant and serve that tri-tip. "Smoked" Brisket: I received 2 large pieces of brisket. Before I say anything, look at the picture and I think it will do the justice. The brisket is even drier than it looks in the picture. The outside had a jerky like texture. The inside was somewhat tender, but not what you expect from a supposedly smoked brisket. I refuse to believe that brisket is slow smoked like the menu advertised. Look at the picture, there is no sign of a smoke ring. There is also zero smoked flavor. This tastes like it was cooked on a gas grill then finished in an oven. I say this without the slightest bit of exaggeration, this was the most disappointing brisket I have ever eaten. Keep in mind, I was once server brisket from Panda Express. The first time I used my smoker, I overcooked a brisket. That brisket was better than what I was just over charged for. At least my overcooked brisket had a smoke ring and smoke flavor. Overall, I feel like everything was skimped. The portions and the quality of food I was served were poor. There was no passion on that plate. It seemed like the mindset was more along the lines of "How little quality and quantity can I serve to get away with these prices." With so many BBQ options in town, you better offer up something special to stand out. I really hope that my order was a one time anomaly. Maybe the smoker went out the night before? Maybe the tri-tip supplier gave them bad quality of cuts. Maybe the fresh green beans ran out so they resorted to a can? Maybe the main cook was out sick and the person covering did the best he could. Maybe not!?!? For the sole purpose of revising this review, I would be willing to give this place another try. I hate leaving reviews like this after only one try. However, it is hard to justify spending another $30 to likely be disappointed yet again. I want to re-emphasize that I don't take this low review lightly. I understand that this is your livelihood. I'm hoping that this review hits home and encourages change. If that does happen, then the benefits of this negative review will greatly outweigh the negatives. If no change is made, then the path is likely paved regardless of my review.

We chose a cinnamon roll, apple fritter, one topped with oreo pieces, and an unglazed old fashioned, and 3 chocolate milks and our tab came to $20. My little said the frosting on the oreo was hard and didn't have good flavor. The apple fritter and the cinnamon roll were a little stale but the cinnamon roll had good flavor. The apple fritter was overcooked, and didn't have apple flavor at all. The old fashioned was very greasy and tasted like old oil. The man and woman working were nice, no complaints with them. Kingsburg is such a cute town, I feel like the shop has the potential to be nice with a few updates inside and more care with their donuts.
