I only wanted 1 small window fixed because roller broken but was willing to replace it. She told me she wanted to go outside and check all my windows. I couldn't go with her , just came out of hospital with fractured spine. told me numerous windows needed fixing, showed me pix of the ledges and surroundings which had them rotting away and causing probs with my glass windows. I belived her requested pix. Said send next day. Have repeatedly asked for them, no pix. with great difficulty, I checked, those pix were not of my house, they were fake. I tried to cancel contract 2 wks after signing bc I found they used subcontractors, sent letter for refund...that was b4 discovering they lied about the damaged wood frames. June 18, they arrived at my door, ring camera recorded them, didn't answer. Within minutes received a call from Allison Smith, don't know what she said, couldn't get any sense out of it. Asked question, just went on and on. I believe was Al voice. I hung up. All I can say, Elderly Financial abuse by Allison Smith,and DABELLA CO. paid her $4100 for nothing, no pix, not even an installer to measure. Horrible. Various problems right from the start. Had to use the warranty after 4 years because of 3 leaks. All it covers are the shingles. The new company, Davis Roofing out of Cave Junction OR, went to bat for me to cover the partial plywood replacement, metal valley strips. I still had over $800 of other items out of pocket. My shower installation was horrible. I had to get a plumber to come in to fix the lines from underneath the shower so that cost me $500 for that then the shower pan is all dirty and they told me only to use vinegar and water and that's what I've been doing since I got the shower and it's embarrassing now for anybody to come in and look how wonderful my shower looks I wouldn't recommend them and they still owe me my $500 and I asked for somebody to come out and look and see what's wrong with it. I think the shower pan was bad. Still having problems. I'm calling them every week. read more

I contacted DaBella to give me a quote for a concrete tile roof repair. I sent photographs of the issue. An appointment was scheduled. They hadn't been on my property for more than ten minutes when they told me they don't work on concrete tile roofs. Two perfectly gentlemanly sales men then proceeded to give us a word for word memorized sales pitch on replacing our sun damaged windows. DaBella had used the pretense of fixing my roof to get their salesmen feet in the door! I was offered discounts if we signed a contract (for tens of thousands of dollars) right then. Another if we signed by Friday. Their products might well be good. I wouldn't know. Because I would never succumb to such a blatant sales barrage. My husband and I are geriatrics. Do I feel as though we were targeted because of that? Absolutely! Lucky for us, even at our advanced ages ... our IQs still are higher than those of the DaBella salesmen. read more

I hired DaBella to install windows, siding, and roofing. It took an exorbitant amount of time to get the supplies delivered, and they got the window order incorrectly. Frosted glass was manufactured to fit the wrong window. They were notified several times, and we were told the new windows were on order. They weren't. The roofers left roofing nails all over, and I'm still finding new ones in the driveway. The siding crew left a horseshoe and a bungee cord in the lawn for a mower to run over; along with calking tube parts. The window installers were phenomenal! Through all of this there was no direct contact by any DaBella rep. The cost was well above their service. read more

We requested a roof replacement evaluation and got the same treatment that many other reviewers have noted in previous reviews which included a hard sales pitch in a long tedious in home spiel, a bid three times over some other bids we have received, a call to a "supervisor" who said he could possibly match the other bids ( if so why start out at $30k for our small house), and then a near refusal to leave our property ( I finally left with him still there). We had a visit from a DaBella sales person. He spent time on a lot of irrelevant information, but the worst part was his hard sell and his insistence that we sign on the dotted line then and there (before we had any competing bids). We kept telling him we had heard enough and that we didn't need to hear more. Finally a friend of ours who was visiting opened the front door and said, "You have to leave now." He finally left. Afterward two more DaBella sales people made an unscheduled visit to our property to try to get us to do business with DaBella. We told them in no uncertain terms that we weren't interested. We received two more phone calls from DaBella after that. BTW, their bid was the highest one we received. read more

A salesman came by uninvited and was peeking over fences rather than knocking on the front door- I went out and asked what he was doing and he said he was looking at my windows. He was rude when I told him I wasn't interested. Seemed like a scam company from the interaction and reading all the other negative reviews seems to back that up. They come and tell you a bunch of lies plus the quote for a new roof through them is 65% more than other roofers. Why? Because DeBella doesn't do crap they sell a product and then hire contractors so you're paying double contracts. The product is nice but way overpriced. read more

This started off badly and went south from there. First, they only have a few colors. Second, I wanted a 5 1/4 reveal with a smooth finish. They told me they only do 7 1/4 reveals, but could do the smooth finish. three days later I get a call and they say it will cost $4K more for the smooth finish. They also told me that all their installers are factory trained and work for Dabella. That is not true. they subcontract and the installer was NOT factory trained. And the dual Jim team installed it with a plumber who I don't know the name of! the shower is a freak come true for me!!Beautiful and courteous craftsmanship!I really needed this done for my journey back to independence. the district manager John was a great help on the project as well! Last year when I needed a shower replaced I had a difficult time getting anyone to come out. They no-showed. They didn't call back. The person we finally got did such a horrible job that insurance had to get involved. It took six months for the people hired by the insurance to finish the job. I learned one important thing for the next job--get a company that specializes in manufactured homes. This month, I started searching and calling around for a construction company that could replace the tub/shower combo in my manufactured home. I needed someone that knew the codes. I needed someone that had the correct materials to avoid the issues from last year. I needed someone with the knowledge to help me avoid the mistakes of last year. Dustin and Vivienne from DaBella were at my house the next day. They showed up on time. They were polite. They listened to my concerns. They made me feel like they had all time in the world. I wasn't rushed and they didn't make me feel bad for living rural. (One guy last year was going to charge $500 to drive out to the country even though I am only ten minutes from town.) They had samples of everything I would need. Not pictures. Not miniature pieces. I could handle the panels. Dustin even put a permanent marker on a piece to show how easy it is to clean. They had video presentations and answered all my questions. They left without a contract signed. They left without me feeling guilty. After more research, I did sign. Partly because they specialize in manufactured homes. Partly because the materials will take about 12 weeks. Mostly, I signed because once the materials are here, it should only take three days, not six months. I will have to people working in my house, not a lot of different people showing up every now and then. Once I signed, I didn't expect to hear from Dustin again until we needed to setup the construction. I was wrong. He called just to see if I had thought of anymore questions. First off, when they come over to give a quote its like being attacked by a door to door Kirby vacuum salesperson. Second, they quoted me $22,000 for a 1,200 square foot house. They said all of my plywood was rotten and they were surprised they didn't fall through my roof. They also said that my house was full of mold from all the leaking due to the rotten plywood. Third,, the roofers that I actually hired found only 4 sheets of plywood that needed to be replaced and the rest looked brand new. They found no leaking into the house and charged me less than a third of the price. Definitely look elsewhere. DaBella is a joke. read more

My experience with this company started with: - A Facebook Ad for grants and government approved home owners improvements. "See if you qualify" scam. This Ad was from a scam account Henert Taylor Home Improvement, and the click of the button went to a form to see if you qualify. This form was a Facebook account for Rick Montgomery. What the scam is - They create fake accounts or create spoof accounts and say they are a third party vender. Now they have your info. - I recieved over 30 calles in one day. When I answered I could barly understand the lady. She said that the home roof inspector had to come to see if we qualify. They never told me what company they were or the name of the person. Just asked me what time would work. The entire time on the phone they acted like this was a free service. I read the ad to the person and said that I only want a review of the grant snd discounted services offered in the post. They agreed and said that is why the person is coming out. Told me it would only take a half hour. - The next day person shows up, goes on my roof, goes into my crawlspace takes a bunch of photos. I ask if they will email me a full report with the diffrent grants and discounted services and she tells me that Debella doesnt have any thing like that. And hour and a half later she is trying to sell me a $18,000.00 roof system. She said that the referral came from a 3rd party vender who lied. And that their company called me to set up the appointment. Well her company told me that this home inspection was to see if I qualifyed. I did not received a real estimate for work, i only received a hand filled out form. No real inspection or pictures of issues to be replaced. A total wast of time. NEVER Do business with an company who is lieing to get on to your property. read more

Our representative Curt Dalton was absolutely wonderful. I feel as though we met a new friend. He knows a lot about us, and we know about his family. We share many of the same values. He is very much a family man. Curt knew his product well. He also made it so we could fit it into our budget as we are on a fixed income. Curt knows that any time that he is in Gold Hill, he is welcome to stop by for a cup of coffee. We never felt pressured for one second and felt as though we met a new friend in Curt. First, unsolicited door-to-door sales is not cool. Second, the sales guy was here for about an hour (I had a meeting I had to be at), and all I got out of it was a power point presentation about how great the company was and how awesome their products and contractors were. I set up the appointment to get a QUOTE, which I never got. Should have taken about 10 minutes. I cancelled the follow up appt, I fear it would just be more of the same nonsense, and from the reviews it sounds like I'd just get some overpriced estimate. My neighborhood redid his entire bathroom for $3K, but he did it himself, but even hiring someone I would think $4K to replace a shower would be reasonable. I doubt that's what they would have quoted me. But I'll never know now because the guy had an hour to give me a quote and failed. Not wasting more time with them. Good luck :) read more

The Windows and sliding door are very nice, an upgrade to 40 year old originals. However, after the quote was given, I asked for the " product cost" and "installation cost". That never happened. I also asked that the representative, who sold the windows to my elderly mother, to please come by during the installation process to double check and answer questions my Mother had. He said he'd be glad to do that, yet he did not do so. It feels like a good product, very spendy and once the contract is signed you are no longer a customer but a fool. I will say the subcontractor/ installers were awesome, clean, quick and did exactly as they promised. His outstanding professionalism made the process so comfortable and we were so happy to have given him the sale! We are so entirely excited for the upcoming installation and we were unaware that such quality windows existed. Mr. Gundeid showed us (exact) examples of the quality windows we will be receiving. We feel so blessed to have gotten him as our agent, and we will certainly be calling him for our future remodeling needs. New update: We had our consultation in February and they are still calling my husband and harassing him. What a shitty company Extremely pushy sales people!! They wanted 30 thousands to install two showers and then another 50 thousand to replace 10 windows. Extremely pricey and they wouldn't listen when we were trying to tell them we wanted a few weeks to make a decision so we could get quotes from other companies as well. They wanted an answer right then and there. There's no way we are spending that kind of money on such little work when we don't live in a freaking mansion to justify spending that kind of money in the first place. They couldn't take the bad review on their Facebook page so they disabled reviews completely now. Shady if you ask me. Also, The appointment we set was suppose to be no longer than 90 minutes. These people were here for over THREE hours and they didn't quote us on everything we wanted, not that it matters since they're so expensive. They are lucky I can't give less than 1 star on here. This company is horrible. First, off the quote/consultation was suppose to take 90 minutes and they were here over an 3 and half hours and the only reason it didn't last longer is my wife got very upset and I got the signals and ended the session abruptly. They quoted us over $60k to replace 10 windows and replace 2 showers. When I spoke to them in the phone to schedule the session I was very clear I wanted a quote for a roof replacement and siding done as well and was told they don't do siding and the roof would be part of my session. Well, the reps that showed has no idea I wanted a roof quote and also found out they do siding after all. I understand good quality products cost money and I have no issues paying for good products, after all you get what you pay for. This was suppose to be a no pressure no obligation quote and that was not the case. I spent probably close to an hour going back and worth with the reps about needing time to figure out my finances so that I could make a larger down payment to make the financing cost less. They just kept trying to tell get me to sign the paperwork as is and I could make add to the down payment at a later date. I explained several times that it is not about having the money, I know it was going to cost and I was fine with that but, with the way I set the meeting up i was not prepared to have sign a contract then and there as it was a lot of money and I needed time to think. I mean who obligated themselves to spend over $60k without thinking on it, I sure don't. They wouldn't take no for an answer but the fact that I found out they do siding and that somebody different would come at a later date to look at the roof and quote me in everything together created the opportunity for me to get them off my back. I have since cancelled all future appointments with the company have spoken to several people within the company about my experience and letting them I will not be working with them, yet I continue to get phone calls or emails from them requesting no give them a second chance. They claim that my experience with the reps that showed up is not the experience they want anybody to have and they will send somebody different. As pushy as they are to get a second appointment I doubt that it true. My wife had left a bad review for them in their Facebook page and they disabled the feature to allow reviews, it is no wonder it so difficult to find the bad reviews in them. And for them to one of the reps to tell another reviewer that gave them a bad review that they are local business is crap. They may have local branch but that does not make them local it is like saying Costco is a local business because they have a store location in town. During the session the reps themselves showed us the history of DaBella they started in Portland and they are moving throughout the company that means they are a corporation and the location in town is just part of the chain of locations they have. Be better off calling John Smith local contractor to do the job for you. Yeah, it may not be the same exact products but, I'm sure John Smith local contractor can find you hood high quality products at a lower cost and give you the personal attention and care you need and deserve. After all remodeling isn't cheap and you should feel good from before the contract is signed, during the remodel, and after it is all done with the person or company you are working with. Update: Since posting this review these idiots have tried to call me multiple times. While I normally don't answer phone calls from phone numbers that are not in my contact list or I don't recognize, I have transitioned the number I gave them into the phone for my small business. I now answer just about every call I receive in case is a client or potential client calling me. I have received calls from 7 different Beaverton phone numbers and 3 Medford Phone numbers since I made this post and every single time as soon as they let me know where they were calling from I hang up. They claim they are no pressure and no obligation, how laughable. The experience I had with the representative that came to my house plus the multiple calls and emails since that appointment to try reschedule representative just proves what a lie that claim is. Then to make matters worse for them now they are calling me from different phone numbers in hopes I will talk to them eventually, I guess. We were seeking competitive bids on reroofing a 1500 square-foot manufactured home with 144 square-foot shed. The two gentlemen arrived on time and were very professional, initially. They inspected the potential project took photos and after about 30 minutes came in for their presentation. They played up the "family owned business" and that their products were superior to anything out there and that GAF and train them and gave them special deals. WRONG!! They brought samples of all their products which I'm surprised fit into their vehicle. When it came down to negotiating the price we could already see the writing on the wall. Mind you, a little over a year ago we had our home in Washington state re Roofed and we had a general idea what a roof would cost particularly since the one in Washington state was about 400 ft.² more. The DeBella representatives presented three options All of which were over $22,000. We nearly choked. They kept saying that there's was the best in the business and I told them the best in the business was going to have to retreat by at least half the quote if it wanted to be considered. That seemed to go over their heads so one of them was on the phone to apparently a supervisor somewhere out in cell phone land trying to get "specials". Even the specialsCost more than what we paid in Washington state for a quality roof. We told them it was not going to work and their final special was still high and they had removed items. I again told them we would not choose them unless they got down to what I considered a reasonable price for such a easy job. They couldn't agree so finally I stood up and asked him if I could help them with their stuff to the car. Off they went. It appears that this company, at least from our contact with them is very very proud of their prices and the materials they use are equal to materials used by other roofing companies as we have found out from other bids. A couple of our other bidders We're glad that DaBella Was first because it made their bidding process much easier. My wife some did up this way... They gave used car salesman a good name. read more

The guy that came out was nice, definitely presented as a sales man, and asked me to write a review despite deciding not to go through them. Per earlier quote by him when pulling up company reviews "I believe the numbers speak for themselves" before asking for a review to add to the numbers despite not having a review on their job or quality. My experience - being told it would be around 2 hours. I had him skip half the presentation and we still bordered on 3 hours. Yes, that's right, presentation. It's like sitting through a time share presentation without the free lunch. I was given an outrageous quote for siding ($40,000) and when given a "no" he was able to lower it to a still outrageous number ($31000). Mind you my house is less than 900sq, it's not some crazy large house. Used lots of sales tactics "name a price you'd be comfortable with" while keeping the overall price so high that nothing but a high response price would be acceptable. Gave firm "no" several times and stated several times that I had other places to be, it took quite a while to get him to leave. Overall, they play up the "family business" while running it like a big business and the overhead falls back on customers. read more

Christian, the person who handled our transaction for the six new triple paned, energy efficient windows, was always polite and upfront with us. He did his utmost to get us a fair deal and was in contact with us every step of the way, he even comes out every now and again to check and make sure that everything is going well with our windows and to make sure that we aren't having any issues. Thanks to the windows that we had them install we've shaved $100 on our electric bill since going from the single paned "show windows" that had been installed in the 1960's in our home to the new ones and no longer have to keep the thermostat above 75 degrees just to keep the house semi-comfortable in the winter. We will definitely be returning to do business with them when we need the roof re-done and hopefully we will be able to work with Christian again. :) read more

Okay so at first I did a decent review but that was just on the guy we met with and not on the company as far as what their products are like but after reading a bunch of reviews I saw a serious pattern. For one they are trained to make you feel really special and then they're so nice that you feel like gee I want to work with this company since they have Factory trained roofers and amazing guarantees (apparently) but then I realized the warranties are prorated and their products are ridiculously overpriced, like $16000 for a little 2 bedroom house!!!!!!. Plus they told me that I had a 2100 square foot roof on a 1200 square foot house. That's a little fishy if you ask me. But beyond that he made a couple calls to management (apparently, even though I couldn't hear a single sound coming from his phone which is odd because cell phones are pretty loud when someone's on them) to try to get the price down and to get monthly payment so we could afford them and he tried to say that the only way that that was going to work out was if we signed today which made no sense. I also found out that they don't even have any contractors on their payroll what they have is a sales company that hires other companies to do their work for them. This I'm guessing is why their prices are so crazy high. I changed the rating because I don't want other people to end up going with them because they separate themselves as dabella Medford so you don't see all the other reviews, even though it's run by the main company in Portland which has even worse ratings. I don't want people to see that this place has a good rating without realizing that the main company that runs the whole thing has a terrible reputation. I also looked them up on the Better Business Bureau and there were so many complaints it's not even funny and yet somehow they are still rated as an A+ company. I have no idea how this is possible. I'm pretty good at math and I know a ton of negatives don't equal an A+. I also started receiving calls the day after from multiple different numbers, they would hang up after a few rings and they are actually using other people's phone numbers to try to get me to answer the phone. I got a hold of one of the people and he said he has no idea how that number called my phone because it's actually a forwarding service number that belongs to him that he cannot use to make calls. It's only an incoming phone number so they're actually spoofing other people's phone numbers to try to get you to answer the phone so they can get you to buy their products. It's crap. They also won't leave a message and when I tried to call back one of the other numbers it just hung up on me like 5 times in a row so I gave up. The horror stories from the Portland reviews are really scary. There is shotty work and the warranties are not what they claim to be. If I were you I would go with a locally owned and ran company that uses their own workers and doesn't force you to sign on the dotted line the day you get your quote read more

Both of the representatives couldn't have been nicer. After two hours however it became clear that $32650 for a reroof of a 1539 sq. ft single level home was pretty outrageous. Neither Shondi or Myles set the price so I don't blame them. If the estimate was more in line with the normal re-roof costs for my area I wouldn't hesitate to have their company re-roof my house. Shondi and Myles get five stars. I gave DaBella 3 stars because the quoted prices were 4 times the highest "average cost of 1500 sq. ft single story home in Medford area" according to various roofing estimators. TWO WEEKS LATER: I am changing my review from 3 stars to one star. I have had three contractors look at the roof and all three contractors said that the roof is in good shape and doesn't need to be replaced. One of the contractors estimated that I have about fifteen years left. He also said that my roof does not have the shiny spots that Myles told me I have (indicating roof gravel loss). He pointed out a neighbor's house that clearly had shiny spots on parts of their roof as an example of what he was talking about. He also said that he did not see a lot of nails coming out of shingles or significant rust on the metal surfaces. Beyond that he said the ridge shingles were in very good condition. The moss growth (apparently) is just a fact of nature on the shady side of roofs and is easily (and cheaply treated). It does not indicate major damage or problems according to all three contractors that inspected my roof. I had my doubts about the what I was told from the two DaBella representatives, but I thought they were exaggerating a little. Instead I have heard from three independent contractors that I was lied to. There is enough work for honest contractors. There is no need to lie to people to get contracts. Shame on them. By the way: the contractors use the GAF Golden Pledge roofing system installed by certified roofers of the Golden Pledge system. The quote comparison was for the same roofing installed by equally certified roofers. JAM Roofing's estimate was for $12,227. That seems to be a more reasonable estimate for this area and my roof. read more
