This is my favorite Italian restaurant in Hickory. I love the Chicken da Vinci, my husband always tries something different, and is never disappointed. Took my daughter for her first time today and she loved it too. The food is always fresh, seasoned well and isn't mass produced with tons of sodium and preservatives. The bread is fabulous and comes out steaming hot. I will chose here vs a chain restaurant any day! read more

You want to love this place as it is the only non-national chain in town but you just can't. Service table side or bar side is the same. Just average. The food is the same. No fresh arugula which puts a major dent in many of the dishes we like. Sauces are often too heavy, too salty or lack freshness. Wine is very average. read more

This is the second time we have been here and ordered the Chicken DaVinci, we ordered it with no mushrooms, and for the second time there were mushrooms. My daughter ordered the crab cakes, she said don't order them if don't like lemon because it's drowned in it. Our waitresses wasn't the best either even though it was not crowded on a Monday at around 6pm. read more

Lisa was our server , very nice and very professional! Food was fantastic. THANK YOU DA VINCI'S

We had a great meal from beginning to end. Excellent warm bread to start. Very tasty Caesar salad. We had Chicken Marsala (wide said best ever had) and Lobster Ravioli (great flavor and event sauce). Service was very good to and there price was right. Definitely coming back. read more

My favorite Italian restaurant hands down! From the West coast to the East coast. We live in Wilmington now, and I truly miss not getting a weekly fix from here. Everything is good white, red, green (pesto), and everything in between! read more

Pasta carbonara with penne pasta is the most awesome dish on planet EARTH. No reason to say more.

The foods good, but we always get the waiter with poor English, and he always gets our order wrong. My wife ordered the pork chops, she told him she didn't want them breaded. She ask him twice if he understood, he assured her he did. She got breaded chops! read more

Yummy Italian food. Best of all, unlike the Italian chains around here the owners ARE Italian. Very nice wine list-all Italian wines. Decor gives you a very personal and grotto mood. The service is a bit inconsistent, but thankfully the food is always consistent. read more

My husband and I have eaten here every so often over the past 6 years and over those past 6 years unfortunately this restaurant has steadily declined. I'm writing this review in the hopes that I will save someone from getting ill. The last three times we have been here, with a long period of time between the second and third, either one of us or both of us have become sick. This past time, 2 days ago, both of us became sick. I won't go into what happened but think food poisoning. I'll leave the rest up to your vivid imagination. That was the last time we will go to DaVinci's and I hope by writing this I will help someone else. read more

The best Vodka Sauce you will find anywhere! Don't let the location fool you, this is the best Italian food in the Piedmont! Tony is the charming owner who treats every guest like they are family and will remember your name even if you've only fined once. They make their own bread fresh everyday, the stuffed pizza is one of my favorite memories from when I could eat whatever I wanted without a care, and the bar and wine are an excellent addition to this hidden gem in North Hickory. If you want the perfect, delicious alternative to the crowded downtown tapas bars you cannot go wrong here. read more

I come to this restaurant every week for the past five years, and every single time I enjoyed my time there. More than any other restaurant in town. Very friendly staff and amazing food. Makes for a outstanding experience. Also has great wine selection at reasonable prices. I would recommend the lobster ravioli with the lobster tail and shrimp in a amazing pink sauce. They have the freshest salad in town with amazing homemade dressings to choose from. read more

Da Vinci's - Amazing bartender - Italian Near Me - Hickory, North Carolina

We're new to Hickory and found this place was close to home. I wish we would have stayed home and had Hamburger Helper. The free bread with O & V dip was awful. The bread was clearly microwaved and the O & V is better at Subway. The Calimari was similar to chewing on rubber and feces. As far as the entrees, the shrimp and potato dish looked like Dinty Moore and tasted like a dirty floor. My Veal Rustica was paper thin and flavorless with an extreme amount of the worst ricotta cheese ever made. The waitress was useless and the person I think was the owner never greeted us or checked to see how our meal was. Save your money and time and have the Dinner Box from Mcdonald's instead. read more

My fiancee and I enjoyed a truly wonderful lunch. Atmosphere is intimate and in keeping with Italian heritage. The food was truly enjoyable--presentation=excellent; taste=delicious and for a luncheon special it was extraordinary; service=attentive. The owner, Tony, was on site and made us feel most welcome. I would recommend and we will be going again to enjoy the food and hospitality. Ruth C and Don R read more

How do you ruin cheesecake? Da Vinci's managed to throw some Hershey's syrup on a slice of cheesecake which did not hide the fact that it had the worst crust imaginable. I couldn't tell if it was never cooked or just got soggy. The gnocchi was less than mediocre and the chicken in the Da Vinci's chicken appeared to be boiled or poached. Horrible!!! As a new mom I have very little spare time on my hands but this food was so terrible I made sure to find time to write my first Yelp review. read more

My favorite Italian restaurant in Hickory. Excellent fettucini alfredo and tiramisu! Must eat here!

My husband & I were introduced to DaVinci's in Morganton,NC. We ALWAYs went there on special occasions (we had 2 pre-schoolers then- even took the boys at times for lunch). When that location closed, they put a sign up about the Hickory location. Were we sad! Lots of good food and fond memories. I forgot to mention, we drove 35 minutes to the Morganton restraunt. Now we drive about an hour+ to get to DaVinci's in Hickory. We still aren't disappointed with the food, atmosphere & service. We are going with great anticipation again tomorrow :) read more

Divincis is a over priced ,lazy excuse for Italian food and I think most Italians would be insulted by their tasteless food. i ordered a meatball sub from them and I was so dissapointed. It was expensive and tasteless . Didnt taste authenic Italian at all ,more like bland crap. The cooks need more education and the staff needs better manners and I am surprised they are still in business. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

We were looking forward to finding a real Italian restaurant in Hickory, NC and after our evening at Da Vinci's, we are still looking. Our new waiter (it was his second day) was nice enough, but so inexperienced he did not know that Pinot Grigio was a white wine, he asked us what gnocchi was and our appetizer was delivered after our salads. Sadly, the food was also a disappointment. My gnocchi was tough and bland. The "meat sauce" was tomato paste with no flavor, not a hint of spice or meat. And the mozzarella that topped it was scant and dry. I ate a total of 6 gnocchi and pushed my plate aside. My husband's veal marsala faired slightly better. The veal was tender, but the marsala sauce was thin and very weak on the marsala. His dinner came with a side of pasta and red sauce, better know as the tomato paste sauce, which he tried once and then left untouched. Nothing tasted fresh or homemade or authentic...and that should the very basis for Italian food. read more

As a New York Italian, Davinci's really gives the real traditional feel of good home Italian food. The lobster Ravioli is unbeleivble and thei bread is always hot and to die for. We actually go there for what I feel some of the best pizza in town. The wine menu is great and the service is always amazing. The owners will always make a point to come around and talk to everyone and make sure you are happy. I truly think Davincis is a little piece of Italian gold in Hickory!!! read more

Amazing Italian restaurant! This is some of the best food I have ever had and I wish I could eat here more frequently. Pasta is amazing and the dessert is very, very good. Needless to say, I highly recommend you give Da Vinci's a try if only for the dessert alone. So good! read more

always amazing food, wonderful friendly, wholesome service. highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting good italian food

it was our first time to try the restaurant. we took out bolognese and a couple of subs. everything was a disappointment. in my opinion, one of the best ways to test an Italian restaurant is by its bolognese and this one failed miserably. i can taste the can out of the sauce, it tasted something out of a fast food joint. i normally don't leave reviews but this experience prompted me to. read more

We looked forward to eating in a family owned Italian restaurant and enjoyed eating there for 3 or 4 times. Unfortunately, the integrity of the server and the lack of support from the owner ruined our enjoyment of ever eating there again. We raved about the food and my 82 year old father took his out of town guests (party of 8) to eat there for dinner. There is an automatic percentage tip added to the bill with larger parties. Usually, servers will remind their guests of this automatic tip. My father trusted the server and automatically added an additional 20% tip to the bill. This ended up being a $100 tip since there was already a tip added to the bill. The server should have said something but instead took the tip without a word. When they got home, my parents realized their mistake and I called the owners and left my contact information to talk to them about the incident but never got a call back or any contact from them despite numerous calls. My Father feels he was taken advantage of and I agree. Mistakes are made but the lack of communication of owners states loudly that they don't care. They lost a family of loyal customers who would have eaten their regularly. read more
