I came in at 6:20 on a Wednesday. The restaurant was pretty empty so I was expecting a pretty quick meal. I remember in the past the hickory location had a buffet option the Newton one I came to did not. I got mozzarella sticks and a steak and cheese pizza. Value for price is pretty good but the taste is lacking It might just be the type of pizza I ordered but I love Philly cheesesteaks, the sauce doesn't really have any flavor and neither does the cheese. I got a ranch to dip it in and their ranch is the classic steakhouse homemade ranch that is so good. The mozzarella sticks were also not very flavorful. Also the meal took a while to come out, which I understand but I was hoping my cheese sticks would come out first. If I were to come back I'd order something else or go of the hickory location for the buffet read more

We grabbed a few pies to bring home. Solid pizza. The thin crust is cracker thin with crunchy crust. The sauce is on the sweeter side. For my taste, I'd like it a little less sweet and more crispy than crunchy, but definitely a solid pie. You won't be disappointed. read more

Saturday dinner 5:30pm, 6/9/24: First time patron and decided to try it based on the strong reviews. Took my MIL to get pizza and we like the atmosphere as we were seated. Quick service after ordering the Special pizza with a beer and white wine. I think this was likely our favorite restaurant pizza ever! That's saying a lot but it was well deserved. The crust was perfect, the sauce slightly sweet and the ingredients delicious! As we finished our meal we noticed the place was nearly full, so others must feel the same. Wow. Super fantastic pizza!! First time trying Geppeto's and I wasn't at all disappointed. I opted for delivery and placed my order online (mobile phone). Delivery time was less than expected and less than promised (which is always a good thing). I got the "original" crust which I thought was a little thin for original but it was great. Very good flavor crust. Toppings were very fresh and tasty. I wish there were more of these in the Charlotte,NC area! read more

We wanted a different type of pizza other than our normal. We found this pizza place about 20 miles from us. We were very impressed with the amount of toppings that were used. With approximately 8 pizzas on the bar at any one time, I had plenty of options. Two dessert pizzas. Spaghetti with garlic bread sticks and a choice of meat sauce or plain sauce. If I could give this location ZERO stars then I would. Made my order online, left a tip online, then waited for my order to arrive. When the delivery driver dropped the food off, i brought the food inside and noticed I was missing part of the order. I called the store immediately and they told me they were too busy to worry about me and I would have to talk to a manager. So I proceeded to look through the bags and noticed another part of the order was missing. The lady never put the manager on the phone and told me the rest of my order would be delivered within 30 minutes. Its been over an hour and I am still waiting on my food. Very friendly staff, nice little buffet for lunch on a lazy Saturday. Reasonably priced, especially for the little ones. Pizza isn't anything to get super excited about, it's average. They have a nice lunch menu with lunch specials even on Saturdays too. May try out one of those the next time, but definitely someplace I could see returning too especially with my kids. Another Newton, NC staple! If you grew up in the Newton-Conover area then you know all about Geppeto's. Many Friday nights before and after football games or during sleepovers with friends were spent either here or ordering from here. Now, our boys have grown to love this place. One of the best salad bars in our area. Love stopping by during lunch to fix a salad to go. And sometimes I even get a free sweet tea from one of the nice gals working the front desk. read more
