Or maybe it was great, and I just have no sense of these things. Really easy to get to from the airport. I know Montreal has so much more to offer. This is a pretty safe option for a decent meal, but it may not reach the heights that other places can offer. Or maybe they do, in which case I would definitely recommend trying other items besides the ones I did. The staff was nice and they seemed to have a decent number of regulars they were engaging. Ok so I'm only reviewing this place for the food as I was not inside but i had their food waiting for me on my kitchen table hehe!! Let me just say one thing, after 3 hours of being in the fridge and my husband having to warm it up for me in the oven , it tasted amazing. I will definitely come here one day for dinner. I was at this restaurant recently with my family. The food is mediocre at best. The chicken parm was undercooked. The spaghetti was cold. Caesar salad was tasteless. Food was ready in under ten minutes. Obviously using a micro-wave. The waitress acted like she was doing us a favour by serving us. The owner was rude and arrogant. Be smart....pick another Italian restaurant and you will have a much more enjoyable dining experience!! read more

First impressions had me all set for a great lunch, not to be. When I entered the restuarant I was impressed with the warm quaint atmosphere, however when my salad arrived it was warm, very warm. Not to be discouraged, I can get over a warm salad, I eagerly anticipated my Chicken Parmesan. This is a quaint little place. The first thing you notice as you walk thru the door is the aroma of the kitchen. If you weren't hungry before, you instantly want to eat. The food is excellent. The escargot and the lasagna were both amazing! The lasagna (as pre-warned by the waitress) takes some time to prepare (20 mins). Worth the wait... And don't forget to have dessert. Also amazing! I guess the last thing I should say is that the portion sizes are quite large. Bring your appetite, and leave in a food coma. read more

Some colleagues recommended this restaurant near the Montreal airport during my business trip, and I'm really happy that I took their recommendation. The restaurant is in a strip mall, but the interior aesthetically comfortable and warm. The food arrived in large portions, easily enough for another meal or to split with another person. The service was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant specializes in veal, and I will have to say it perhaps was the best veal dish I've ever experienced. I enjoyed two veal cutlets covered in a cream sauce and served with a side of spaghetti. Given how incredible the veal was, I will have to say that I was disappointed with the spaghetti and especially the red sauce. It was very average - as in Chef Boyardee average. If you're having the spaghetti side, I recommend another sauce other than the red. Other than this "side" issue, the meal was memorable and the service attentive. C'est bon. read more

Wow! I'm happy to have found this place on yelp prior to our stay! Service was very friendly, the atmosphere was really nice, I felt like we might have been underdressed but it wasn't a issue! Our food was excellent. I enjoyed the bread that was served prior to our meal, there was a tomato pizza like garlic bread and a classic garlic. I enjoyed the tomato one the best, it was unique and enjoyable. We both got a cream based pasta, I got the carbonara with chicken and the husband went with his usual alfredo with chicken. My only complaint of the whole meal and experience was that the chicken was a bit dry and a little odd tasting. The pasta made up for it! It was the best pasta we have had! Very creamy, rich and filling. Yum! I will return some day. read more

Update: the owner of DaMangione, Frank, seems to be a good guy and has offered to set things straight. I have not had the chance to take him up on it because things have been busy. Thanks Frank. Paid for a $75 gift certificate for my Dad's birthday. A few months later, my Dad passes away and my Mum returns the gift certificate to me. Perfect, ordering takeout will remove some of the overhead while things are busy... I order a pizza and mention that I'll be paying with a gift certificate and they tell me that I will not be getting any change on my $75 gift certificate. "No problem, just give me a smaller gift cert", I say. "No that's not the way it works", she says. "normally we don't even take gift certificates for take out. We're just making an exception". Ridiculous, expecting me to pay $75 for a pizza and I do not understand the distinction between a takeout order and eating in the restaurant. Terrible service. read more

Wow!! This is the best pasta I've ever had. My husband had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken added. The sauce was light and delicious with a hint of sweetness. I ordered Veal Marsala and was amazed. The mushrooms were real, the veal was tender, and the sauce incredible. Again a hint of sweetness with a full bodied Marsala taste. Service was prompt and attentive without being overbearing. The focaccia at the beginning was a bit bland but the entree more than made up for it. I only wish I lived closer. read more

Super close to the airport, which allowed me to safely eat with my family before flying out. The food overall was flavorful and well priced.

We made a quick stop on our way to New York from the airport. Much nicer inside than I pictured. We had a quick dinner while other diners were enjoying a more leisurely pace. Great they could accommodate both speeds! Enjoyed the pizza. read more

I've been here a couple of times and wasn't overly impressed but this third time tipped the scale and I won't be returning. My friend's minestrone soup had a foreign object in it (looked like a shell from a nut) and our main course of chicken parmegiana was pretty average and bit dry and the accompanying vegetables were served absolutely plain. No flavour or seasoning. It was like hospital food. But the kicker was my cappuccino after the meal which I was just beginning to enjoy when I bit into a hard piece of plastic with a sip of coffee. Disgusting. I should have said something up front and asked for a refund for our soup and cappuccino but didn't want to ruin a pleasant lunch with an old friend. Now I hate to think what happens in their kitchen. read more
