A few of the other people I'm in Canada with wanted to go out for food so we came here. The place has a shuttle service that'll pick you up from the hotel and bring you back so that was nice. I ordered a chicken panini that came with lettuce, tomato, Mayo and cheese with a salad on the side. It was good but I guess I didn't use the right conversion thingy cause it cost more than I thought (I'm from NYC). I enjoyed the sandwich when I ate it but then about half an hour later I started feeling really hurtful stomach pain. Spacing is barely enough for other people to passby other tables. Vibes is semi-formal. Tends to get a full house too. Accepts credit/debit. Recommend by the Doubletree Hotel...up the street...just less than 10 minute walk to this gem of a place next to the Montreal airport. We had a Sunday evening early meal. The staff was excellent and welcoming. The restaurant itself was clean and neat. White tablecloths were in all tables. We had the lasagna and spaghetti with meat sauce. We started out with bruschetta and a green salad. Both were delicious and well prepared. Next was the entrees which were prepared and presented excellent. The taste was exceptional. I would highly recommend this fine establishment to anyone in the area or passing through saying near or at the Doubletree or Fairfield. Enjoy!! read more

Please be aware when you eat at this restaurant. We were visiting Montreal for 2 days. My family and I went to dinner at this restaurant on Tue, Jul 30, 2024. Unfortunately my eldest sister got food poisoning shortly after we had dinner there. She ordered VEAL CANNELLONI and shortly after dinner she started vomiting and diarrhea. She continued to vomit and diarrhea the whole night to a point where she was dehydrated because she lost so much fluid. We took her to the emergency hospital around 5:30am and we stayed there till about noontime. I called the restaurant and told them what happened and all they did was say sorry which I didn't even think was sincere. They didn't even asked what she ordered to check if the dishes they served were spoiled. I'm sharing our experience so no one else go through the unfortunate experience we had to endure. The family dinner ended up being unpleasant experience for the whole family. read more

I was a little unsure, I mean, really, in the airport complex area of hotels? Usually restaurants/food in these type areas are not good. BUT! I was wrong. This place is FABULOUS! A driver picked us up at our hotel and he was making a delivery and took us to the restaurant! He was super friendly and nice and FUNNY. Now the restaurant-very tasteful. Our family was having a rough day which started at 5AM, headed to YUL for an early flight, with 12 hours of delay and two mechanically broken aircraft later - a Sunday evening cancellation and an unintended extra night's stay in Montreal. The staff at the Aloft hotel recommended Focaccio, and we're so glad they did! Although the restaurant offers a free shuttle, we decided to walk over. Carl took wonderful care of us five weary travelers, recommended a wonderful red wine, and we turned the evening positive with excellent food, wonderful ambiance, and impeccable service. As we ate, the snow started falling and we had the perfect (for a Florida family) dining experience! Loved the food, we sat down one day while our cat was at the vet down the road but they called us for an emergency and we had to run out before ordering. We left a tip but the staff didn't seem to be too happy about it. I came back two weeks later when our cat was at another appointment and ordered take out just to be cautious of that happening again. We were seated right away thanks to one empty table for 2 being available. We ordered drinks and entrees. Drinks, martini and Chianti wine, came but no water as requested do we ended up asking another waiter for water. Our waiter kept returning to the table to apologize for the fact we had no entrees yet, but we were the ones to ask, well what about some bread with olive oil? Another drink ordered. It shows up, then bread and finally our meals! One was Salmon with vegetables and pasta with tomato sauce flavored with artichokes. The request for Barramundi did not happen as they were out of it so cod with vegetables and pasta with tomato sauce and artichokes was enjoyed. Only due to the food being so good is it that I am giving it 4 stars! I stay at one of the airport hotels in the area quite often and water something different than their restaurant. Saw this place and decided to give it a try. The place has a simple clean layout and wasn't very busy when I arrived. The waiter attended to me immediately and i decided to go with a salad and the pasta carbonara. Very nice salad and the pasta was delicious. It compares with meals I had a few weeks ago in Rome. I will return here often. read more

The food was very tasty. Silvio was my waiter and he was so excellent. I was staying at the Fairfield down the street and the front desk recommended Focaccio when I asked about restaurants in the area. I was just coming in from Spain, tired and trying to fight off a cold. I wanted a hot meal. Silvio recommended the Cod with capers and fresh tomatoes and artichokes in a light wine sauce, with broccoli and carrots and a small portion of pasta. It was so good - I forgot to take a pic. For my first course I had the spinach soup which was delicious. Just what I need for my throat and cough. I also had the marinated mushrooms. Silvio was the best. He had his driver take me back to the Fairfield so that I wouldn't have to walk the 3 blocks in the windy cold Canadian night. I highly recommend Focaccio for the food, service and Silvio. We opted for this restaurant really only because the airport hotel shuttle service was willing to take us here. A 45 second drive from the Comfort Inn, we sat down to a place which was little nice than us weary travellers were dressed for. However, we were kindly welcomed and seated promptly. All the pastas were delicious. Creamy and rich. Most plates were completely cleared. They have a small wine collection well displayed in the corner. This place looks like a ghetto from the outside, but is really nice on the inside. The menu has a good selection of sandwiches, pastas, and meat dishes as well as appetizers and salads. I had the prosciutto and melon as an appetizer and lasagna for a main course. The melon was not ripe or juicy. The prosciutto wasn't great either. The blend was really bland and I didn't finish it. As I have said many times I love Italian. When I ended up at near by Best Western I looked up the best rated restaurant on Yelp that was nearby. I ended up at the small Restaurant Foccaccio. It was Italian but it wasn't up to the quality I have had in other restaurants. My biggest complaint was the Parmesan cheese. When i eat Italian I like fresh Parmesan, not something out of a bottle. Food was tasty, but portions were a little on the small side. I would eat here again, but if you are looking for an above average mom and pop Italian restaurant, this isn't it. read more

What a find!! We are stuck in Montreal airport area for 3 days due to weather. Wanted to find a place within walking distance of our airport hotel. What a great place!! First -- ask for Silvio!! Amazing server-he "owns" the menu. My husband had the Bella Gusta pizza. Hand tossed crust-absolutely wonderful!!! Lots of toppings! I had the Veal Scaloppine al Focaccio (signature dish). The veal was good--not amazing-although I do not usually eat veal. But the gnocchi and vegetables made up for it. The chefs red sauce is probably the best I've ever had ( coming from an Italian Ex husband). Rich-tomatoey- and just a little kick to it. The veggies were grilled - simple- carrots and snap peas. I usually come here to eat whenever I have an overnight in Montreal. My favorite is lasagna al forno w/ the bread and my favorite with it is a glass of chardonnay. So I stayed in Dorval, which was a mistake.... Montreal... can we talk about your construction for a second... OMG! THE ONLY saving grace was this restaurant, we were about a km drive but of course it took 10minutes to drive here. The food is FANTASTIC, the outside doesn't seem like you'd somehow venture into a nice restaurant, but, even thought I didn't eat in, the ambiance was wonderful. Everyone was very friendly, and had a great smile (or maybe I was late and they thought that I would skip out on my order and were super happy when I got there lol) The food was good, I had this pasta which was a bit spicy I think the gigi and omg...WOW so happy. Pizza was nice as well, thin crust but I def. loved the pasta... If you're staying in Dorval (I already feel bad for you!) just come here for a dinner, don't try to venture into downtown. read more

Totally exceeded my expectations! I could not find flaw with any course. All dishes were absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and seasoned to perfection. Our group had the penne arrabbiata, linguini Alfredo, Italian salad, and a margarita pie. Being from the NY area we have high standards for pizza and I was really shocked at how well it was executed. The pasta in the dishes was cooked perfectly, and the sauces were incredible. Service was impeccable, at the ready with fresh cracked black pepper and grated cheese, and on point with clearing dishes and topping off drinks. Dessert deserves a special mention as the house-made cheesecake (lemon tonight) was some of the best I have ever tasted. Lastly, as a bonus, the restaurant offers free shuttle service to/from our nearby hotel. One call and we were picked up within minutes from the most pleasant driver. If back in the Montreal area I will most definitely revisit this gem!! Interesting note: we were surprised it was so empty on a Saturday evening (arrived around 9pm), but we were told that unlike most places their business is very bustling during the week and slow on the weekends.
