    Grass-fed brisket

This is my go-to spot for premium meat! This is where I get the best brisket, beef ribs, porterhouse steaks... they have duck, chicken, lamb, goat... no guilt here because these animals and healthy and happy right up until they are on your plate. Family owned and family operated, it is worth spending more for their amazing meats.

    Ribeye steak

I've been buying meat from this place now for almost 3 years. It's good meat and all, but lately it's just been disappointing! Multiple times I've had issues with the meat, and this time I've just had it! As I cut this ribeye steak meat it wasn't red at all, so I figured that it's more than 3 days old and it's okay. But after cooking it, I can't even bite through it! It's hard! Keep in mind, the cook time is accurate and professional. I've reached out to them few times before, and felt as though the response was as if I'm falsely speaking. I don't even want to bother contacting them, but this meat is disappointing and I just spent $200 on old meat!!

It is clear the entire team cares for the horses' well being. I travel often for my job and I don't have any concerns or hesitations that my horse isn't being taken care of while I'm gone. Tobey is very communicative and accommodating. A few months ago a larger stall opened up and it was an easy transition to the new stall. Since I've been boarding here, a few renovations and updates to the property have taken place, leaving the ranch one step closer to Tobey's vision for the space. I have spent the most time with Nyna between lessons, trail time and just running into her while at the barn. She is the life force of the ranch and keeps feedings, stall cleanings, lessons, farrier and vet appointments organized. She has spent a lot of time with my horse during lessons and turn out time. I can't see me or my horse boarding anywhere else. Thank you Olivewood Acres!

Tobey is an amazing facility owner; always looking for ways to improve the facility and make the property better for the horses. And Nyna, who takes care of many of the senior horses, loves them as if they were her own. She went to check on one of my boys later in the evening, and thanks to her observation and gut instinct, she noticed my 30 year old was not doing well. She called me and the vet, and thanks to her diligence, he was able to get the best possible care and endured the least amount of suffering. She even stayed by my side the whole time, along with Tobey coming out to check on us. I can't thank Olivewood enough for all they have done for my retired boys.

Our food came a few minutes after we ordered. Our waitress, Karla, was absolutely amazing! She gave us great recommendations, explained each menu item in detail, had the best energy, and provided top-notch customer service from start to finish! Outside of the restaurant, there are two doors where you can pick up take-out and dine-in. The restaurant inside is spacious, plenty of seating of booths and there's also outdoor dining. For the food orders, I had the BBQ combo with the choice of BBQ Brisket and BBQ Tri-Tip with a side of mashed potatoes. The combo came with two different bbq dipping sauces. The first one was a cherry tomato which made it smoky and sweet while the other is the original that is tangy and smoky. I preferred the original. My best friend had the BBQ Tri-Tip Sandwich with a side of corn on the cob and butter. We also received fresh baked garlic rolls which was a good start for an appetizer. The garlic rolls were one of the highlights for my best friend. It has olive oil, parsley, and garlic. Everything was delicious! This place is definitely on the higher end price-wise, but the food, service, and overall experience made it well worth it. We'll definitely be back, and I highly recommend checking it out with family and friends!

Even when asked to prepare it medium rare, it still comes out dry. The asparagus (a premium side) has been stringy and inedible the last several times. The baby back ribs don't have much flavor and the steamed broccoli is very bland. The meat on the bones used to fall off and now it is a struggle. Even though we asked for the entree to come after the salad was done, it came while we were still eating salad. When eating anything with your hands, the server should automatically bring out some type of wet nap to clean up. How can the meal be so terrible when the happy hour menu is so good? The service is way better from the bar staff and the food far better. We have enjoyed the happy hour and will continue to go to that, but the regular menu is not up to good standards. Too bad!

We stopped by as part of our Ramona trip to see the animals and pick up some fresh goods. There's plenty of parking, and the barn is covered in egg‑cellent egg pun signs, which definitely adds to the charm. We came on a Saturday around 11 and it was fairly empty. The "petting zoo," however, is a bit misleading. You can only pet the goats -- which are beautiful -- but many of the other animals were either not visible or behind fencing that made it hard to interact or feed them. You pay for admission and then pay again for different animal foods, which felt pricey given the limited access. The person at the front seemed confused and wasn't able to answer basic questions about the egg products, which made the experience feel a little unorganized. No one was unfriendly, but no one was particularly helpful either. I expected a warmer, more guided experience. Also, keep in mind the only bathroom available was a porta‑potty, so plan accordingly. That said, it's still a fun quick stop if you're already in Ramona and want to grab fresh eggs or see a few animals like a bunny, two goats, chickens, a horse, and some sheep. Just go in with the right expectations.
