I ordered the mixed salad €4.50 with the pasta with wild boar sauce for my entree €12. Contrary to Italian custom, my salad was delivered first. Those tomatoes were legit. Not only were they bright red but also bursting with flavor. Perfect! On a bed of mixed greens I added a little bit of oil and vinegar and enjoyed this quality salad. The entree arrived about 15 minutes later. This was my first time to experience handmade pici senesi pasta and it rocked my world. Delicious is too mild to describe it. With the excellent wild boar ragu I smiled with every bite. Our favorite dish was the Fagotti Cacio e Pere which was handmade fagotti stuffed with cheese and pears, in a pecorino cheese cream, crispy nuts, creamed red fruits, and Tuscany honey. The fagotti itself was so flavorful and the sauce was sooo decadent, sweet, and creamy. We are still dreaming of this pasta. The Pici in Rivolta was pici spaghetti that came in a sauce with slow-cooked braised beef, mushroom, onion, and olive oil. The beef was melt-in-your-mouth and the sauce was so rich. And last but not least the tiramisu was so good! We sampled so many different tiramisu while in Italy but this one was possibly our favorite one. Go check them out if you're in Florence!

I chose to get a glass of red wine to enjoy with the meal and I like their model where they bring you a newly opened bottle and only charge you by what you pour. Smart on them since of course I poured myself more than one glass so really it's a win win for both. Reservations are highly recommended and there are no English menus available. Thankfully, one of the staff flagged down another worker who spoke english and was able to walk me through the menu. He was very friendly, helpful and patient. At that point I had known him for less than 30 seconds. Step inside and indulge in the classic aromas of fresh meats and cheeses. I ordered a prosciutto and mozzarella and was shaken off the way a baseball catcher declines a pitcher's offering. What I received was a decision alternative that I think was prosciutto, speck (I think) and some kind of delicious cheese. It was amazing.
