Before leaving this lovely old town we headed into this busy place to stock up on some sweets and cookies. We've been spoiled by many good pasticcerias last summer when we travelled through Italy. Compared to them this place does holp up quite well. The pastries weren't that great I have to say. But the cookies (Amaretti, with pine nuts, almond etc.) were really quite good and worth a buy. Surely we couldn't buy or try them all and some items might be a bit of a hit'n'miss. But some of the were really good, so you really should give it a try. read more

We absolutely love this place we come here every single morning and drink at least three Americanos if you don't order the Americano you're going to get a little tiny coffee and then I'm going to need five or six of those lol but the pastries are divine it's just so lovely to sit in front and just people watch read more

This place has really good Italian cookies and a huge variety. The woman behind the counter (most likely the owner) was super friendly and the quality and prices of the pastries were excellent. Worth a visit for sure! read more

(4/11/2014) We were touring through Tuscany with a group and stopped in San Gimignano. Needed a quick bite and a bathroom. The bakery had a lovely selection of sweets, chocolates and sandwiches. Got a hot panino with prosciutto, cheese, and mushrooms. Focaccia was excellent, crusty exterior and tender interior, great when warmed, salty meat and oozy cheese with earthiness of the mushrooms. read more

Great cafe & pasticceria in San Gimignano for a nice breakfast. Everything is prepared daily. The tomato & mozarella sandwich and chocolate croissant are especially delicious. We also bought little cookies to eat later in the day, which were very filling. The owner Marcella is a great lady, very energetic and cheerful for a woman her age. We visited the place every morning during our stay. We would definitely go there again! read more

We stopped in here for a pastry and to use the restroom and were treated horribly by the bald headed older woman working behind the counter. She was loud, pushy and abrasive. Very unfriendly! We got in line and were polite so she had no reason to shout and yell at us. She clearly hates tourists and with 90% of the business in the area coming from tourists she's in the wrong business. She clearly forgot to take her Rogaine as she appears to be a grumpy bald older man when you see her from behind. Take your hard earned money elsewhere. read more

We stopped in and bought a couple of snacks, and they were delicious! Everything looked SO good, it was hard to choose. We got the highly recommended Ricciarelli and a couple of shortbread / chocolate cookies, and they're wonderful! It's a good thing they're so far away or I'd be in trouble! read more
