Worst customer service. I just bought a used 2016 car and wanted to get it checked if everything is ok in the car. I go there 8 am in the morning and the guy tells me he will call me around 12 noon. I didn't hear anything so I called them back. David picks up the call and tells me he doesn't know how long it'll take they have 6 cars before mine. So I just went back there to pick my car up. I've heard they do a good job at a reasonable price, it's just too busy. That's understandable. But at least be transparent about the timeframe when I'm dropping my car off, so that I'm aware it would take more than a day and I can decide whether I'll leave my car there or not. Took my car in because it was overheating. Turns out the head gasket is the issue. They told me it would be $220 to get it fixed. Went home since I didn't have the money. I have the money now so I call to be sure of the price and then the same man who told me it was $220 tells me it's actually $1,600. He also keeps telling me that he has to check other things because "Maybe there is an issue with the spark plugs, Maybe there is something wrong with the internal thermometer." Even though he didn't mention these issues on my previously visit. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Reliable mechanic. Been going here for a couple years now. Mr Sun is reliable. It's a mechanic shop so don't have high expectations of superb customer service. Their super busy but they get the job done. It use to be where you could just buy the part and take it there but! Due to complaints from past customers bringing parts in and it (the part they buy) doesn't work - he doesn't accept it anymore which is fine. Also, he doesn't have a tow truck so you'd have to find your own tow. Mr Sun is trust worthy. He does not charge astronomical rates. read more

I've been coming to this auto shop for about 4 or 5yrs.. A friend suggested this place. When I 1st meet owner he was cool but now he barely speaks and the employees are even worse.. I don't know why people think because you have a business you don't have to give customer service this is a must.. These men need a course in it badly. Now I have to say if you want your car fixed the do a great job and pretty responsible but because of the customer service they get 1 star if I could go negative I sure would..then when I went to pick up my car.. David asked were was my car the employee said its on Bellflower Blvd showed me were it was and gave me my key.. Didn't bring it to me in front of the garage at least..Nope!! I had major damage to the front of my Toyota Sienna, and regrettably did not have collision insurance for it. David from DA (Sun) Auto Repair made an extraordinary effort to bring down my out-of-pocket costs. The total bill ended up being about HALF what another auto body shop quoted me. Then, to top it all off, they completed the work in only about 3 days. I was floored. I fully expected to be without a car for 2 weeks, the damage was so extensive! A few days later, I discovered that my horn had also been damaged in the collision. David fixed that, too, for just the cost of the replacement part. Thank you!!!!!! This shop was not like that at all! They showed me all my car issues and their prices are considerably lower than other shops! If you want honesty then this is the right place. David the owner is involved in every request and will advise you if you don't need something done on your vehicle even if you requested it. I have been to shops that will do every service you ask and more even if your car doesn't need it if they can generate more revenue. this shop is lower cost than any shop I have been to, along with their honesty I am staying here. Okay where do I start? About a month ago we brought truck here .. mechanic said it needed a rebuilt engine $1200 with a 6month warranty and almost three weeks later it's ready. Mind you this mechanic makes no contact with you period you have to haggle him to get updates on your car .. timing off . Vehicle sounds horrible 6month goes by and the engine is knocking ... Oh wait we have a warranty .. but guess what?? What's knocking IN THE ENGINE is not covered under the warranty .. mechanic keeps the car for a whole week .. let us know what the issue is .. and this is outcome ..IT NEEDS A NEW ENGINE .. tell me why were paid $1200 dollars to hear we need a new engine .. plus he has the car there all week and nothing from him . Pick up the car he charged $150 for a crankshaft shield but basically it was like $150 for him to storage my car there . Because again he wants me to take it elsewhere and get a new engine how does this place have good reviews??! Doesn't make any sense going to report this business!! read more

Our family and my neighbors used to all go here, for their reasonable prices and overall decently priced service. However, over the last year or so, the DA Auto shop has become so over crowded with Junk cars every where, there is barely any room to park, Just about everytime we go there, Old Cars are stacked within inches of each other, so they have to move several cars everytime, just to let people in and out. This how you get mysterious Oil dirt, dings & dents on your vehicle, and of course they say they, all these things were already there, when left vehicle with them. We all have mostly nicer modern cars, so we had to go elsewhere, as we no longer felt comfortable , knowing they have to keep moving our nice clean car, possibly several times a day, with dirt/oil covered work clothes, in very crammed parking spaces. Again, it is still a good shop, but they have badly outgrown their space, with too many old junk cars, so be careful leaving your clean or nicer car at this very Narrow & congested shop, just too many risks to leave our vehicles there. We all really hope they upgrade their parking space, or move to a much better shop space area etc. read more
