As my eyebrows are very prominent…read moreand visible, I always let the esthetician know exactly what I need- only cleaning, no reshaping. She did the opposite and made them extremely skinny. I also believe she was drunk, she kept stumbling and getting way to close to me to talk, resting her whole upper body on my chest while she was tweezing which especially now is not ok. The receptionist, who I think was a teenager was really rude and dismissive as well. This is the closest place for me to go and it outwardly seemed like a nice spot, but I will never go back. So overpriced for horrible service.

It took the bulk of the day for someone to get back to me. When I did get someone, it appeared that she was trying to fit me into her schedule instead of vice versa and the gal was not happy that I wanted a later time than she suggested yet reluctantly agreed. Although she seemed like a nice person, she lacked confidence in her work. Already we were starting late. She did call to let me know before hand. Despite many years of experience, she seemed like a newbie and lacked interpersonal skills one would think a stylist should have. As we were already late of course my session would run into another. Apparently, the gal waiting was a regular and the stylist wanted to hurry up. Oh, your hair is in good shape no need for a cut unless you need one. Huh? I have an outgrown A line. Oh, I guess you need that leveled off. Yeah. Well, I should have stopped there because, while I did get a cut, it was a half-hearted one that was rushed to accommodate a lateness my appointment did not create. Will not go back. The color faded, despite a wash only every 5 days, within 3 weeks.

WORST salon experience of life. I showed her many photos of what I wanted. And what my 10 year old…read moredaughter wanted. She said no problem. When we got there her salon was cluttered and messy. In the back of my mind I knew we should've walked out then. But I thought maybe she's better at hair than keeping her salon tidy. Big mistake. I had long straight, medium dark brown hair to the middle of my back. My daughter already had long layers in the front and she just needed a trim. Sonia looked at the photos of the layers I wanted then proceeded to chop my hair relatively one length, much shorter than I wanted, and really uneven. She then bleached it blonde about 3 inches from the top and toned it to a mousy brown that almost looked green at the time. I had shown her pictures of high and low lights that were almost auburn that I wanted to give my hair some demention. She didn't do any of that. I wanted my hair to be cut to just below my collar bone with lots of blended layers. She lobbed it off, one length, with tiny point cutting right below my shoulder. I told her it looked green and she said the toner will wash out to blonde, which isn't what I wanted in the first place. While my hair was processing she cut my daughters hair and it has shelves, not the blended layered trim we asked for and showed her pictures of. She took off way too much on both of us as well. It basically looks like my daughter is growing out an old mullet. My poor daughter is too scared to go to another salon to get it fixed. I know it's just hair and it will grow back but it's embarrassing to walk around looking like this while it does, and this is her job. I shouldn't have paid for what she did, but I did because I don't enjoy confrontation. We paid $314 to look like a toddler went wild on our hair with scissors and bleach. Now its going to cost another $300 to get it fixed elsewhere. DO NOT LET SONIA RUIN YOUR HAIR TOO.

When I arrived at the hair salon, immediately noticed that the place was dirty and very unsanitary!…read moreThe salon itself looked filthy over all. The chair where her clients sit had wears and tears in the chair. I had showed her a picture of the color I wanted to achieve beforehand. Asked her repeatedly if she was able to do the highlights for my hair and ash brown to my roots. She told me that it was doable. Once she started the process to color my hair, she said that dark brown would be applied. I had told her that is not the color I want for my roots, and then told me that she was using ash brown instead. After the color was processed, we went to go and rinse out my hair. She did not put a towel under my neck to rest on the sink. It was very uncomfortable and disturbing. After my hair was rinsed, we returned back to the chair and my hair was dried. I looked in the mirror and I was in complete shock and very disappointed of how it turned out. My roots were a lighter color and the rest was dark brown away from my roots. Before the color was applied to my hair, my highlights had already grown from my roots. She did not do the highlights to my hair at all after the color was done. I told her that it was not what I wanted at all. She kept insisting that it was what I asked for. Then she told me that I would be charged more for the color. I told her that I would not be paying more than what she asked for and that my hair was already ruined by her. The response was that she does not do light colors on her clients and does dark brown. I would not recommend anyone to her for a hair color or highlights at all. She did the complete opposite of what I wanted and it was horrible. This is by far the worst encounter I've ever had with a hair stylist and salon I have ever been too. Please do not waste your time and money here. It was very unprofessional and very unsatisfying experience over all!! You can see in the picture that it was not done as shown in the picture to the right. Complete disaster and absolutely not worth going to her at all! This was done two weeks ago!
