Anywho...I got my hair cut this past Friday at another place and it was the fastest haircut I had ever gotten. Less than five minutes total. Never used scissors...only a razor. I won't name the name of the place because I don't want them to get hate. My boyfriend goes there and they do good work on him. Maybe they were just in a rush or didn't care or were having a bad day...who knows... But the lady that cut my hair this evening at JB's was so sweet and kind and gave me exactly what I wanted originally from the first place. I just wish that I had gone to them before I went to the other place. She was a sweet older lady who's been working there for 17 years and I wish I got her name because I recommend her so much. She was such a sweetheart. And the cut was super affordable also.

I thought I was and ended up getting double cut off. Needless to say, my fried ends thank her but I'm still sad I lost the length I took 2 years to grow out. The chair where her clients sit had wears and tears in the chair. I had showed her a picture of the color I wanted to achieve beforehand. Asked her repeatedly if she was able to do the highlights for my hair and ash brown to my roots. She told me that it was doable. Once she started the process to color my hair, she said that dark brown would be applied. I had told her that is not the color I want for my roots, and then told me that she was using ash brown instead. After the color was processed, we went to go and rinse out my hair. She did not put a towel under my neck to rest on the sink. It was very uncomfortable and disturbing. After my hair was rinsed, we returned back to the chair and my hair was dried. I looked in the mirror and I was in complete shock and very disappointed of how it turned out. My roots were a lighter color and the rest was dark brown away from my roots. Before the color was applied to my hair, my highlights had already grown from my roots. She did not do the highlights to my hair at all after the color was done. I told her that it was not what I wanted at all. She kept insisting that it was what I asked for. Then she told me that I would be charged more for the color. I told her that I would not be paying more than what she asked for and that my hair was already ruined by her. The response was that she does not do light colors on her clients and does dark brown. I would not recommend anyone to her for a hair color or highlights at all. She did the complete opposite of what I wanted and it was horrible. This is by far the worst encounter I've ever had with a hair stylist and salon I have ever been too. Please do not waste your time and money here. It was very unprofessional and very unsatisfying experience over all!! You can see in the picture that it was not done as shown in the picture to the right. Complete disaster and absolutely not worth going to her at all! This was done two weeks ago!

Could have been sooner, had she been more prompt. While I was not very thrilled about her lack of communication, I was happy to finally just get booked. I had high hopes with the outcome of my hair. Anticipating for months. But I'm pretty disappointed with how my hair turned out and the customer service received. If I could give Hannah no stars I would. The only reason I give two stars at all is because I like the salon and some of the gals. It's a great salon. They have lots of services. But this experience was a huge turn off. I give an extra star because it looks like she does good hair, but professionally doesn't cut it. Not a good look for the business.

I was a walk in for a full set on Saturday at 1 pm. I realize that this is not an easy act to do…read more They did seat me within about 10 minutes MAX. This is why a one star feels accurate. I showed my tech a picture of what I wanted, she asked if I wanted dip or if it needed to be acrylic and told her that I didn't care how this design was done but I wanted it to look just like the inspo pic that was posted here. She said that's fine I can totally do that. She did the service and even corrected the nail that I saw was crooked so that it wouldn't be when she dipped it. She also cut off the acrylic a little long and I told her I wanted them shorter like the picture and she said she just was leaving room for filing. She was a great communicator. When she did the top coat she added a glitter top coat which was not pictured and I thought, "it's not the end of the world I'll just take it". Well we got to the check out and I looked at my nails and they are not what was pictured. I was pretty frustrated but left to go pick up my car for an oil change. I sent these pictures to my sister to see if I was being too high maintenance and she agreed that this was not done well even to the standards of the other pictures posted on the reviews. So I called the store and asked to speak to the manager (against every bone in my body) and politely asked if they could get me back in to just level out the dip and reapply the top coat and trim the side of my nails in a little bit. The store manager told me she would be happy to fix them at 5 pm when they had time. I asked if there was anyone else sooner as I live in Girdwood and made the trip today as a little treat but needed to get back home sooner. She said there was absolutely no time before 4 that she could get me in. So I agreed and called my fiance. I then called back to see if I could come show her that there was blood glued down to my nails, the unevenness and just get even a partial refund and she said she does not refund but is available at 5 pm to fix it for me. I am so disappointed in the response to fixing this. When I left the shop there were 4 techs sitting together hanging out, when I drove back by to get the images of the shop sign there were no cars in the parking lot. I will not be returning and I recommend either going to a different shop or being much more firm than I was when sitting in their chair. The job she did was $90 and I didn't even get the set that I wanted.
