I used to go here when I lived on that side of town. I would love if he opened one in the west suburbs. I absolutely love chicken wings. They are one of my favorite dishes and I'm always looking for great wings. This place was like my dream come true when it opened. I've tried a bunch of their wings and honestly love every one. Surprisingly, I have a few favorites in the sweet section. The only downside is that I like to get 3-4 diff wing flavors whenever I'm making a meal of wings, and it's hard to do that here because you get so many with each order. I was going to give only 3 stars but because the food was absolutely awesome, I'm giving 4 stars. The Fuh Burger with Cheese Curds and pickles is totally rad!! I wish I could give 5/5 stats total. But the staff takes it down to a 3/5. Quality of flavor and chicken wings is a 5/5. Staff is careless and management appears disorganized. With a little more care this place could be a lot better and more successful. We will probably be back because where else in St. Paul can you get that type of variety in wing flavor. But seriously staff, do better. I watched our wings sit under heat lamps for fifteen minutes until some random staff decided to ask what was going on with them. No one knew and I figured it was ours but didn't want to be rude and interrupt them. It was ours, and we had asked for them to go, so after 15 mn under the heat lamp I watched them hastily box them up and shove them towards us with a forced 'sorry for the wait.' Tried this place out today. You can dine-in or take out. You order up front and then find a place to sit. We were there at 4 pm, Saturday afternoon. When we first got there, not too crowded but filled up quickly. There were a good amount of tables though that were quickly bussed when people left. They had tap beer and bottled beer available, local breweries, and a fun soda fountain. And of course the wing selection was amazing! There were so many flavors to choose from. There were 2 of us and we got a total of 24 wings, 6 each of pesto, cordon bleu, a pineapple chili flavor, and reese's peanut butter cup. We ate all but 4, took those home. They were out of chicken breasts (which takes a min of 25 mins, if they have them) and nuggets so I didn't order bc I didn't want wings or a burger. My son ordered the twist wings and onion rings and my husband had 2 orders of wings; one a very spicy curry and another an Asian mild sauce (can't remember the names) and the Swiss mushroom burger with seasoned fries. He said the burger was pretty good but the fries, onion rings, and wings were extremely salty-- and we generally don't take issue with salt! I arrived right before a giant rush of portly young men. Its always a good sign to see a thriving business. I was amazed to see how many different wing sauces were available and it took me a minute to decide which flavors to go with. Thankfully, I was with a friend and we decided to share some of our wings with each other. I was WOWED by how beautiful the wings were. Even in a plastic basket they looked incredibly appealing. The wings tasted great. The flavor profiles are highly creative and quite delicious. I would recommend getting the fries as well. They are perfect for sharing. YUM! Was in the area and had heard great things about the wings here. Took a gamble and ordered some for pick up. We were shocked when we arrived and there were several cars waiting for curbside pickup. Clearly this is a good place. We did end up waiting a bit longer, but that was understood given how busy they were. We ordered a number of different wings and were overall really pleased with the size and flavor. They are in line with other well-known wing businesses as for price, but I like the variety of flavors better. A lot of the flavors are very similar, but we really liked the dry rub Magic wing and would pass on the Alfredo next time. The one thing that ticked me off about this place is the price and service. We ordered the 12 for $12 but didn't realized that if we ordered the first half a different flavor and the other another they are gonna have to charge us for the 6 for $7. So ridiculous, so we ended up paying 12 wings for $14 just because it's different flavors. The wings were kinda dried and I wasn't impressed. Believe it or not but even Pizza Hut chicken wings were way more tender and satisfying than this. My only complaint about the service was we had to get our own drinks and yet you have to "tip" or pay a gratuity fee. I get it they'll come around and bring your order up to you but I don't see Noodles and company asking for tip when you dine in and get your own drink just like them. See, there is no wait staff. You order and get a number. Food gets delivered by runners. And then there are bus people. So if you have an issue with your food, good luck. Plus regulars at the bar had to reach over the bar to grab togo containers, one busy bartender at 730 on a Saturday night. If it looks like you might have food issues, the runners avoid eye contact. Some pink haired busses had to get me ketchup. And that was in packets. BTW the fries were a large. Told would feed 2 people, there couldn't have been 5 ounces of fries in that basket. read more

BOILED WINGS!!!! Too bad they are so inconsistent. Depending on the cook, the spice level changes. Depending on how busy they are, you'll more likely get boiled wings. Boiled wings are NO GOOD!!! So, for starters, the new location is waay nicer than the old place. The service was prompt and friendly, and my wings (carry out) were ready right on time. These guys have a ton of flavors, and they're really passionate about their stuff. The downside is that by doing so many flavors they can be hit and miss. For example, while the Szechwan and Buffalo bill were both fantastic, the Tarantula was average and Reese's just didn't work for me at all (and I enjoy sweet and savory/salty) Also their blue cheese dip could use some work. My nose hairs have only just begun to grow back on account of the singeing, burning pain that would emit from the old crawlspace kitchen. ;) The new location is GREAT! I love the open, minimalist layout which makes a difference when you're sitting in a sea of fellow customers. This place is always packed, but I feel like typically people are aware of the wait time and can settle in accordingly; have a beer and chat. I would have to say that it's definitely worth it! Duly, the outrageous combinations of flavors of their wings and burgers are unique and well executed and the owners are always seemingly there and considerably assisting (a plus)! As a wing connoisseur I am constantly looking for the best wings. D- Spot hands down has to be the best place I've ever been. The full craft beer selection of local and national favorites were simply fantastic. Then you go to the menu and it is literally front to back with at least 75 different Artisan crafted wings with special in house made sauces. No extracts or bottled sauce here. What you will find is the most flavorful, saucy and best chicken wings around. Only complaint would be getting charged $4 for flats only ; no drums. read more

I didn't know there were so many ways to make wings. There are a ton of flavors to choose from and they all vary in spice levels. I stuck to the lower end on the spice scale and split a few different flavors with friends. Update-i called back today since was told I would be given a credit/gift card by Gina the woman called manager who assisted me when I had the first issue. Ordered my food and gave the guy my name and phone number told the guy I should have a credit there. He said he knew nothing about it and said since Gina was not there he could do nothing about it and couldnt verify it. I asked for a manager. Judy got on the phone. Judy said that Gina should not have handled it this way and apologized. She said she would credit my order and asked if I already ordered I told her yes. She gets the guy back on the phone and he couldn't remember my order or my number so had to repeat it all over again. I get there to pick up my wings and the kid asks me Why was your order discounted so much? I told him it was because last time they screwed my order up. Who's on first and I want to get home so why are you quizzing me?? I hate to say it but this place has gotten too big! Go for the wings and not for the customer service. Basically a bunch of poorly trained teenie boopers at the counter. Very very sad situation! Time for the owner to do some further training in customer service with his staff. Great wings joint! Good beer selection as well. This place has too many flavor options to be honest. I gave 4 stars because they don't have boneless wings. I prefer bone-in personally, but I took my family visiting from out of state there and a few of them wanted boneless. They ordered chicken tenders instead, but one of them was told they couldn't get sauce on the side. Then my sister in law ordered strips from the other cashier, and they let her get sauce on the side with it. Not sure which person taking the order didn't know what they were doing, but my brother in law literally had to eat bare naked chicken strips. If their really is a "you can't get sauce on the side with chicken strips" policy, it should be adjusted. If you can get sauce on the side, please make sure the staff knows. read more
