    Veggie Supreme Poutine

We came in to celebrate my friend's birthday. The restaurant is absolutely adorable and so cute! It's bright with such fun candy colors. I love that they had booths and nice seating options. It was consistently busy with people dining in and take out orders. Our server Hannah was so kind and friendly. She did seem very busy so service was a bit slower than I would hoped for. I don't blame our server, but more help may be needed on the floor to help serve tables on busy nights as Hannah was running around working hard! The food was great! Our group had 3 different kinds of poutines and each one was so delicious and huge! Fries were crispy and toppings were plentiful. My friend loves her Meat Poutine and the Chipotle Chicken had great reviews too. I would get the veggie one again for sure. The tornados are upscale blizzards made with premium ingredients. The small was so BIG and could easily be shared. The portions are so generous with all the desserts. We are so lucky to have such a great option in NE Edmonton. I can't wait to come back and bring my kids. It's definitely a sweet spot in many ways!

Wow sugar! This was Definitely! DEFINITELY a sweet spot cafe! The menu was delightful, right off the hop I was engrossed in all the creative work they did with their menu and presenting the desserts. It's beautifully done. Service was alright, seeing as it was our first time here we didn't know if someone came to take our order or if we had to go up to order, and then when we ran out of water I had to go find the water jugs myself. So a little disappointing on that end. We went on a Thursday night and it was quite busy as well. Still got in without a reservation. And there is plenty of parking here in the Manning town centre which is convenient. We opted to try a little something from each category but definitely couldn't finish it all! The funnel fries weee the most interesting, very carnival food. We got the strawberry sauces ones. I personally enjoyed the Croffle the most, we got the dark chocolate and pistachio. And to finish it we were recommended The Hidden Gem, which was a crepe with a lava cake wrapped inside topped with Oreo crumbs, strawberry, banana, Belgian white and chocolate. The fruit on this one was refreshing paired with all the sweet we had going on but the lava cake was just too much for me. Definitely go to split to Hidden Gem it's big! Oh and did I mention like everything we ordered came with a side of ice cream! We also ordered their virgin mojitos, the blue lagoon and strawberry were really tasty. The decor is really cool here, very hip. Nice clean space and bathrooms.just be prepared for a sugar coma afterwards! Haha

Googled this before I went to check it out and was totally boggled at what to order as there are numerous amazing desserts to try. We settled on Lotus buttercream and cheesecake milkshake, sticky toffee pudding cake and vanilla ice cream, and a double chocolate scoop. We had EXCELLENT service with the server bringing samples to try. WOW this was an incredible desert place! Apparently they have burgers, poutine and hot dogs too. My only advice is you must try and go hungry.

There was a large cake, cake slices, macarons in 2 different flavours, 2 different cream puffs, and I believe a few other items. They also advertised they have bubble tea, halo halo, and various pops. Behind the counter, there were white steamed buns and the gentleman working there told us there was pork inside. There were a few trays of baked breads and also a warmed with chicken empanadas. After lunch we went back to pick up a few things. I got 2 empanadas ($1.99 each) and 2 cream puffs ($2.25 each). My friend had one of the cakes before and said it was sweet so I decided not to try any as I don't like overly sweet desserts. Later that day, I had the cream puff and it was filled with lots of fluffy cream. The chicken empanada filling reminded me of what I use when I make chicken pot pie without the liquid. For $2, there was a decent amount of chicken but it was sweet and I prefer more savoury. I heated it in the toaster oven so the outside shell would be crispy and it was flaky and warm inside. If I'm in the area, I would go back and see what else they had. It's great to support a local business and the service was friendly.

I started the meal with the Don Vito cocktail, a spirit forward sweet concoction of Cognac, Bourbon and Limoncello. Immediately felt like it set the perfect tone for dinner. The tasting menu started with four appetizers, the Arancini, Goat Ricotta Crostini, Insalata Siciliana and the Culatello. My favorite was the arancini as it was packed full of melty cheese with so much flavor. The culatello was a crowd favorite and the crostini was a great palate cleanser. For secondi we had the Truffle Gnudi and Paccheri. For people who like meaty flavors go with the paccheri, but I liked the light cheese and truffle of the gnudi. By the time the Pollo Al Mattone came around, I could only manage a mouthful of the succulent brick chicken and the fresh cabbage salad as I was so full and would need to be rolled out of the restaurant. We ended with the Chocolate Budino, which was dark, creamy and delicious. A great tasting menu at a great price, especially compared to Toronto prices!

It felt like a busy bar during an important hockey game! The lighting was not the best and it was affecting the ambiance and vibe of the business! These two items bothered me a bit! The wine our friend ordered was really good and overall I enjoyed our food and drink a lot. I think this business has room for improvement! However I'll still go back there as it is!
