Lots of street parking. Staff were friendly but busy. Cool place to hangout with fancy cushioned pink chairs great for 2 people per table. We tried the Me and cookie funnel cake. Too much donut like bread for me but it was fresh and tasty. Cookie dough was sooo good and brownie was soft and gooey. Ice cream was a great addition. So many hard ice cream flavors that look amazing as well. So many options I'll have to come back!

I'd definitely recommend trying this place out. I ordered the crepe and it was really good. However I would not go here again because their food is really rich, and sweet. However it is a nice treat. The place is also great to take pictures!

Brought the youngest kiddo and friends here to celebrate his 11th birthday (thanks to some fabulous fellow Yelper suggestions!) First of all, be prepared for sugar overload! Do order a little food to share before you dive into the sugar rush, lol. Prices - it's gonna be on the high side, this is a boutique dessert experience. Do go out of your comfort zone - this isn't the place for a vanilla shake or plain waffle, lol. The highlights - the kids loved all the IG and selfie moments from the entrance, to the food, to the washrooms. This made for totally EPIC birthday pictures. The Kid In Me Milkshake and Rise of the Donut Waffle were big hits. The burger was okay and the onion rings standard. I was sooo excited to try the Don't Make me Blush Crepe with rose flavoured ice cream but none of us in our party of 6 cared for it. We each took one bite and passed. I was surprise that for a large party of 6 with food, drinks, and desserts that no offer was made to swap out the Don't Make Me Blush for something else but rather we were told, "Oh, that's unfortunate you didn't like it." Also our food and drinks and treats came randomly. Not a big deal for us, but something to consider when you've got kids waiting 10 minutes for their treat while the others have theirs. Also my coffee was forgotten until after all the food and desserts had been cleared away. Perhaps just a super slammed kitchen day. All in all I would definitely recommend this place for a celebratory treat or fun group gathering out! The kids had a blast and that's what counts!

I wanted to like this place but I did not. It's very bright and colourful inside. This is probably a great place for kids or people who want a late night hangout place that don't care about food. Food wise though, the desserts are mediocre and way too sweet. There are way better tasting dessert places in the city. It's also on a slightly pricier side. I tried the "Don't Make Me Blush" crepe and Ferrero Skillet Cookie. The presentation of the desserts look great but the taste was too artificial and sweet. I wasn't able to finish the desserts. The service was also a bit slow and dazzled. We waited for our water and the server finally came with a tray of water. However instead of serving us, she put the tray of water down on our table and started serving the waters to a table beside us which was kinda bizarre. Overall I probably won't come back but I understand this restaurant targets a different demographic which is fine.

If you are craving desserts then you will find no shortage of them here! They offer almost every dessert you can imagine including some other bites like pizza, burgers, hot dogs and stuff of the like. It has kind of a funky retro vibe with two floors and it is open quite late if you are looking to fill a late night craving. I ordered a waffle topped with ice cream, brownies, whipped cream, choco chips and caramel sauce. The presentation of it was very nice. The taste was decent but I didn't care for the ice cream. It would've also been nice if the waffle was served warm. The portions are massive and it is highly recommended to share. I made the mistake of trying to eat it all on my own and definitely paid for it later! Some things that did rub me the wrong way- I asked if we could substitute ice cream flavours and the guy said yes, only to leave out that they charge extra for it. I asked for vanilla ice cream instead of chocolate, who knew there'd be a fee for that and it's not cheap either. I also asked if my waffle came with sauce and the guy said no. I then asked if I can have a little drizzle of caramel added and he said sure (again leaving out there was a charge). He then brings my plate and says, "actually it does come with chocolate sauce but we also added caramel hope that's okay". In the end my bill went from $14 to 21 because of these substitutions. It wasn't worth it. Service was just okay. I waited a long time to get my bill even though the place was not full and there were a few workers sitting around on laptops. This is a place to try out maybe once or twice or to bring kids to. I don't see myself coming back here any time soon.

Wow, wow, wow! How have we not heard about this place yet?? A friend was talking about this place and showed us some pictures. We were blown away! Had to come check it out! The food is epic, the menu is huge and everything is amazing! Took our daughter here on a Daddy daughter date. They ordered a meat lovers pizza, Kid in me shake, which is like a birthday cake flavoured shake with whipped cream and cotton candy. And a Rise of the doughnut, which is a waffle topped with ice cream and a huge homemade donut. Hokey smokes! This was epic, every single bite and sip! We NEED to come back here and try more amazing things! Can't wait to come back!!

D Spot Dessert Cafe is a great spot for indulging your sweet tooth! They offer a wide variety of desserts and sweet treats, including cakes, cookies, and ice cream. I highly recommend trying their signature D Spot waffles, which are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and come topped with a variety of delicious toppings like fresh fruit, whipped cream, and Nutella. I have a sweet tooth but the waffles were a little too sweet for me. Honestly so many options though & so much to try ! The service depends on the waitress, I've been there a couple times & the one female was very rude while other times the service was excellent.

The decor is cute , fun and bright. We saw number of people slip because of the of flooring tile they used becomes very slippery once it gets so please be careful! We had a group of 6 and we were celebrating a birthday! We ordered the chicken pesto pizza and nachos. The pizza was delicious, but the nachos weren't layered with cheese so we mostly had plain chips. We also ordered 2 desserts 1 NY cheesecake which was ok and the a baked cookie which was good. Both desserts came with ice cream. The service level needs improvement and is very slow, but still worth a visit. Overall I believe once they figure things out it, will be a great spot. It's great Edmonton has a late night dessert spot now!

D Spot cafe is a heaven for all the dessert lovers. They have almost everything to satisfy your sweet tooth. Be it Pancakes, waffles, Milk shakes or Crepes. I have tried only Undercover Nut and absolutely loved it because the dessert was not too sweet. Waffle was topped with scoops of Pistachio ice cream and sprinkled with pistachios, chocolate curls and fudge sauce. Place is so bright and cute. Service was little slow and i found this place on little expensive side. Overall, it doesn't hurt to come here once in a while to give a treat to your cravings.

This is definitely a treat!! We came here with the kids and another family. It was a special outing for the kids to get together with their friends as they hadn't seen each other in such a long time. We brought them here to start the day off right! Upon first glance at the menu, they really have so many choices from waffles to ice cream, crepes to fondue! So we decided to let the kids pick what they wanted to try! We ended up with an amazing waffle topped with a donut complete with sprinkles and sweet cream sauce. Another dessert was a waffle with ice cream and cotton candy on it! These waffles are certainly a show stopper and attention grabbers! Instagram worthy for sure!! Then we ordered the fondue for two which is 3 types of chocolate with strawberries, marshmallows, brownie pieces, and bananas for dipping. The fondue was a big hit and everyone really enjoyed this item. Towards the end of the chocolate pot, the chocolate got really hot and almost burnt our tongues so I would warn you to maybe blow the candle out before you get to the last bit of the chocolate. The kids also wanted milkshakes and a float! These were really tasty as well and a big hit with the kids. The bill came out to $80 which is not bad considering we got 3 desserts, 3 milkshakes / floats, and 4 americanos for the adults. This is a great place to go if you're craving desserts or just want a special treat! The staff were really friendly and attentive as well. They were great with the kids and it's really a family friendly place. Check it out!

What a fun place to go late on a weekend! They are open till 2am and hopping with happy people and amazing desserts! We went for the first time last night and had cake and a waffle, HUGE portions and BOTH delicious. We already know what we are ordering next time we are in town. Great experience all around.

Named Favourite Dessert on the Edmonton Food Faves We Crave 2022 list, "yelo" means ice in Tagalog... And this shop is going to change your whole ice cream world. Located in Old Strathcona, Yelo'd used to be located down the street (on the other side of the tracks) in a much smaller space. They have since moved right into the action and are now in a gorgeous historic building, adding so much to the vibrancy of the avenue. I've watched this building (originally the Dominion Hotel built in 1903) struggle over the years to find the right combination of business tenants and I think that they've finally done it! The interior of the shop is large and spacious but the most striking feature is the elaborately decorated Victorian wooden porch at the entrance. You can just picture yourself sitting out there on a hot summer day with a delicious ice cream in hand, taking in the sights of Whyte Ave. The vibe inside is a bit more modern with gleaming pastry and ice cream cases, mural-covered walls, and neon lighting. The colour scheme leans purple which makes complete sense once you realize that ube (purple yam) is the signature flavour at Yelo'd. The shop feels bright and fresh, exuding an upbeat atmosphere while still maintaining a specific identity. I visited on a Sunday afternoon with the intention to taste and experience as much of Yelo'd as I possibly could! There was only one employee serving us and she was incredibly gracious as we proceeded to bombard her with our large and varied order. I certainly appreciated her efficiency and kindness. Before we even begin the topic of ice cream, it bears mentioning that Yelo'd offers a whole cafe menu of various coffees. This also includes tropical sodas and milkshakes. You could honestly visit just for the cafe aspect and to sit with a delicious beverage (and yes, I will be doing this). Most drinks can be made hot or iced which is handy depending on the season outside. I was drawn to their Iced Ube Latte ($5.50) which seemed like a great way to carry the purple theme into my coffee. Swirls of purple ube syrup mingled with the coffee and milk. It wasn't long before the entire beverage wore a violet hue. I liked this coffee a lot. It was sweet in just the way that I like it and I believe that it may have been made with evaporated milk which would also account for some of the sweetness. The ube flavour (and colour) made this beverage interesting and unique. I could see myself ordering one of these regularly, both hot and cold. Yelo'd also makes this same latte with pandan or yema, which I'm sure are equally delicious. I also noticed that there are seasonal drinks to choose from and that there's a secret staff drink menu??! Clearly, I have a lot more to discover in terms of sips at Yelo'd! There are so many exciting ice cream options at Yelo'd!! Not only do they offer a wide range of hard ice cream but their soft serve has become pretty famous in its own right. However, there's even more beyond that because they make sundaes and ice cream sandwiches as well. No matter what you're craving, they've certainly got you covered. One of the main things that I wanted to try was their straight-up Ube Soft Serve on a charcoal Waffle Cone ($6.50). Yelo'd usually has two soft serve flavours on the go at all times which rotate, but they always keep ube on hand. You can get one solid flavour or a swirl of two. On my visit the second flavour was macapuno (coconut). I decided to forgo the swirl because I really just wanted to try their ube soft serve all on its own (and in all of its glory). This perfectly simple cone was magic. The quality of the soft serve was top-notch and ultra creamy without an ice crystal in sight. The flavour of the ube was nutty and somewhat similar to vanilla, captured wonderfully on this cone. Of course the violaceous colour is part of what makes it so much fun! I loved the crunchy and sweet waffle cone, the charcoal black acting in striking colour contrast. This soft serve is some of the best in the whole city, if not just the overall best. (I sometimes go around saying that hard ice cream is "over" and this soft serve only convinced me further.) Next, I had to try the most popular item on the menu and the dessert synonymous with the Philippines; Halo Halo (Philippine shaved ice with jellies, jackfruit, coconut strings, red beans + your choice of soft ice cream or scoop - $12.00). I find it incredibly exciting that halo halo has arrived in Edmonton and that there are a few places to try it these days. "Halo halo" means mix-mix in Tagalog, which is exactly what the dessert entails - a mix of ingredients that you get to mix together! It's like a big Filipino sundae filled with an array of flavours and textures. Halo halo can be prepared in a bunch

I wasn't that big of a fan of the Matcha Berry since it was more sour tasting and the matcha wasn't that strong. I definitely wouldn't mind coming back to try more flavours though.
