When I arrived in town, I was feeling a little queasy so I was looking for a hot and comforting meal. I decided to try Meng & Ging's as it was close to my hotel near the Ketchikan waterfront. The interior of the restaurant is very casual and homely. You order at the counter and food is delivered to your table if you are dining in. I looked under the soup menu and tried the beef goto which was a good choice. It is a Filipino version of congee with beef tripe in it. Only con is the fish pieces could be a wee bit bigger, especially for the price. On the other hand, you're not left stuffed, so you'll have room to sample other local eats.
