Elie and all the furry friends were an absolute delight! The whole process from reserving a time for our party, to invoicing and then the actual event was smooth and easy. The animals were adorable, friendly and the kids 2-8yr olds loved interacting with them. Elie explained all the ground rules at the beginning and the kids enjoyed every minute of it. They brought the fence, sanitizer and we added on feeding time, which was fun for all. They were constantly picking up after the animals, so the pen was always clean. Overall a wonderful experience for all ages and highly recommended!!

D'Rose Petting Zoo came to my son's first birthday and everyone absolutely loved it! The animals were all incredibly cute and some had some really big personalities. We got to feed the animals and also requested the pony (Buckaroo), who the birthday boy especially loved. The two young men who brought the animals set everything up and were so kind and knowledgeable. They cleaned up after all of the animals too when they left. It was definitely the best experience we could have asked for. Thank you again!

I'm not booking anyone else again, these guys are early, professional, have a great mix of animals and just super awesome!

Booked D'Rose petting zoo for our son's 3rd birthday and everyone has a BLAST!! Definitely one of the highlights of the party! All the animals were so sweet and well behaved and the staff was amazing!! We also paid for feeding time and the kids loved it so much! We will for sure rebook for future parties!

We had D'Rose petting zoo for my daughter's birthday this past weekend & it was AWESOME! The kids & adults enjoyed engaging with the animals, feeding them, & simply being around them. Owner had great communication & was easy to work with. We hope to have them again in the future.

Absolutely fantastic!! This brought so much joy to my son for his 3rd birthday. We had kiddos age 2-14 at his party and they all loved it. Highly recommend them!!

This is an amazing experience for both adults and kids alike. The family came and set up shop in my backyard for a very special birthday surprise. They were extremely responsive and flexible with our requests, we couldn't have been happier. We had a combination of rabbits (extra rabbits for me please!), a pig, pygmy goats, roosters and hens. All of the animals were super friendly for our 3 year old. I was worried they might be a little too aggressive, but they weren't. They were super into whatever treats D'Rose provided for us to give them! I can't recommend them enough for your private party, large or small. Absolutely worth it. For those of you hosting at home, all you need is a small amount of lawn space for D'Rose to create a special penned in area. Once they left, there wasn't a trace, the small amounts of poop was scooped up and gone.

We had D'Rose Petting Zoo for the second year in a row and could not have been happier with the whole experience! The whole family is great to work with. The animals were so sweet, they even brought a baby goat that my daughter got to bottle feed which was a huge highlight for her. They so thoroughly cleaned the area after that you would never have known they were there. Forever recommending this petting zoo!

This company was amazing, they were very professional, organized, flexible and had the most beautiful home Petting Zoo, I have been to. They promised me 10 farm animals and bought several more, very fair and ethical people. The teenagers had a blast. If you are looking for a petting zoo with clean, well maintained animals and great people running it, this is your company. I will definitely have them back.

Elie and her feathery, fluffy, and fun crew were such a great addition to our 2 year olds birthday party. They arrived on time, the animals were very friendly, and the staff did an incredible job keeping the pen clean and encouraged kids to use the hand sanitizer they provided as they exited. Pro tip: add the feeding time at the end, Penny the Pig is a must see!

Brushes provided to pamper the goats, lambs, bunnies and pot belly pigs.

I have been in a bit of a funk for the past several days due to an upsetting issue that I have been dealing with. I have been struggling to get my own energetic vibration back up to a comfortable place and maintain it there. As such, I have been walking around feeling like a character from an antidepressant commercial with a dark, rainy cloud hanging over my head. Every now and then, the rain would stop for a while, but the cloud persisted. Until today. I experienced true bliss every moment that I spent at Farmer Jen's farm today. I pet the most docile llamas with the beautifully soulful eyes. I painted with an adorable, super chill bearded dragon named Sunshine relaxing on the table. I pet beautiful corn snakes, helped children tie knots for a craft, made my own craft (which involved painting chickens on rocks while surrounded by the unusually friendly chickens), and watched my kids joyfully paint and play. It was almost as though we stepped into a movie, complete with background music from a perfectly curated playlist. One of the partygoers was crying about their artwork not turning out the way they wanted, and Farmer Jen jumped in and beautifully helped them (and literally turned their frown upside down with her compassionate words and actions). My blues seem to have vanished after visiting this idyllic farm and spending time with these strangely mellow creatures. It struck me that Farmer Jen never once expressed concern over kids interacting with her animals. She is super mellow and happy, and her calm and content energy seems to permeate her entire property and all of the creatures there. I'm so grateful for today's experience, and can't wait to go back there again someday.

    Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park

    (1.2k reviews)

For years, based on the promotional photos I saw, I avoided the Gilroy Gardens (GG) family theme…read morepark. I thought it would be tacky and hyper-commercialized. Curiosity, together with my wife's desire to see the place, finally got the better of me--and I discovered that I had been wrong. GG in my opinion manages to strike the best balance that any such theme park probably can in terms of appealing to the masses while at the same time avoiding the trap of being tacky or hyper-commercialized. The varied rides and exhibits are pleasant and well-maintained. Some are even quite artistic (like the totem poles, illustrated in the image attached here) and educational (like the ecologically oriented Green Barn). If you're already familiar with GG, you don't need me to tell you about it. If you're not, here are a few tips--which might not be obvious to the uninitiated--that might help you better enjoy it: * The lines for the rides can be very long at times. You might end up waiting for an hour before it's your turn. Best to be prepared for that and plan it into your itinerary. * We noticed a small number of people who avoided the lines for all rides, being let in through the back gate/exit. When we asked about this at the Welcome Center, we learned that GG sells yellow wristbands that allow people to skip the long lines and enter through the "back door" (exit). They cost something like $85 per person for the year or about $30 per visit, in addition to the membership fee. * Even with those wristbands, you'll need more than one visit to see and do everything here. Rushing around a lot will spoil the fun. * The food everywhere, as far as we could tell, is pretty bad. You'll be ahead of the game if you pack your own, which will also avoid your waiting in another line. * The big secret, so to speak, of GG is "hidden" in plain sight--in the second word of the name itself, "Gardens." Most visitors are so preoccupied with going on the rides that they miss out on the natural beauty of the gardens. We found Camellia Garden and Claudia's Garden, in particular, to be like sheltered oases of calm and natural beauty within the hustle and bustle of the park. In our opinion, the three most obvious ways in which GG could be improved are as follows: 1. Improve the quality of the food that's offered. With all the traffic the park gets, those concession stands must be worth a small fortune. Either get them to do better or replace them with businesses that will. 2. Design a more user-friendly map. Those who already know their way around don't need a map but for those who don't, the existing map is not sufficiently clear (hint: it probably needs to be larger). 3. Do a better job of training the staff, in terms of both knowledgeability and attitude. Some are quite good (a special shout out to Nina at the Welcome Center and Sean at the Garlic Twirl ride: they exuded both warmth and professionalism) but others, who shall remain nameless, need more training. Minus one star for those deficiencies, as well as for not making it sufficiently clear at the time of the 2026 premium membership purchase that the bring-a-friend tickets that came with the membership had to be picked up almost immediately or they would not be available.

Review update for the start of 2026 season:…read more I expected the park to be refreshed and in top top shape for the start of the season. They just opened for the season! Unfortunately, I didn't find that was the case. We went during spring break on a weekday, and found it was more packed than usual. With that, it's no surprise considering local schools were on break. What was surprising to me was how dirty some of the rides (the caterpillar is an example) were. I feel like all of the attractions need a good pressure washing and clean up before busy season starts. We were also surprised to learn that they're now a cashless park. I'm not sure when they stopped accepting cash ( I usually use a card ) but wanted to highlight it for visitors to plan accordingly! Will be updating this review later into the season. Fingers crossed they just haven't checked some of the cleaning off the to do list yet!

She failed to recognize me after calling and leaving my information on four different occasions, and insisted on speaking to me like an idiot, or a child (I'd elaborate but this is already going to a long review). When we first spoke, she said there was a possibility she could waive the traveling fee of $75 because she'd be in the area, which was nice even though I was fine with paying it either way. Around the third time of speaking with her she said the charge would be a nonnegotiable $200 and that she won't be in the area at all. I don't know if she's forgetful or just disorganized. It also included sodas waters and three kinds of aguas frescas . My dad had an open bar the options for drinks for his guest were Margaritas, Centenario, Palomas, and beers . If his guest wanted something different they would have to pay for it . Everyone really enjoyed the food and drinks . This was a big party I think we had around 180 guest there was a lot of planing involved .. I was in contact with Irma the restaurants party coordinator and she was amazing !!! she made this stress free we talked about the decor and food . She was there to help and answered all the questions we had . She even helped me get in contact with the lady that did our cake which got delivered to the venue . Thank you so much Irma for your help . I have to say everyone working that night was amazing from the bartenders to the people serving the food. Los Cuates has a great team . My dad got músicos which is a live band and the party ended at 12am . They set up the party for us and they cleaned up after it was so convenient . Overall I highly recommend this venue if you are looking to have a big party or need to rent out a space this is perfect .
