We all decided on pizza and ordered two pizzas. One for the adults and a smaller one for the kids. While we were waiting the room air filled up with the aroma of a seafood restaurant restaurant. It turns out they were serving crab legs and other fresh seafood entrees. That is when we were told they serve cook from scratch meals and daily specials. Our pizzas came out and both pizzas were loaded with generous toppings. Even the kids small pepperoni pizza looked generous and cooked perfectly. Very friendly service, clean, and affordable. We actually are looking forward to coming back to try some of this made from scratch Italian dishes.

The fried veggies were also really good, and we had the Detroit Zoo (roasted tomato, basil and a basil marinara sauce), Detroit PBS (2 types of pepperoni) and Eastern Market Veggie (green pepper, onion, mushroom, tomato) plus a family sized house salad. The prices are commensurate with the quality and portion size in that the quality is very high and the portion sizes seem slightly smaller than other places, which is to be expected. I rated Krispy's at 4 Stars because of their website and the market need for a solid, high functioning, user friendly site. Krispy's has quality and value in their product but enough cannot be said about having a great website (i.e. high-Dollar business value & ROI). There is lots of parking. The restaurant has some mileage to it as it is a bit dated, but I liked it. We enjoyed the big booths and large table. Lucky it was large because we ordered more than a few things. To start, we ordered the onion rings and the fried cheese for our appetizers. They were both quite good, but my favorite was the onion rings fried to perfection. Light and crunchy and just a great bite. We also ordered what Cheddars calls the painkiller. It is a large tasty drink that is sort of a combination of a piña colada Meets a Mai Thai. The meals included the Key West chicken and it comes with rice and two sides. It has a kick to it and it's really flavorful and tender. We also ordered the sirloin and the hand breaded chicken tenders. Both were quite delicious and I love the crunch on the chicken tenders. The sides were also really nice and they included the sweet carrots and the broccoli cheese casserole along with crispy fries. This was quite a meal and it filled us up in a very happy way. We ate up and we left very happy and full with the idea of returning here soon. I don't live around here but when I visit this area, I will definitely stop here again.
