Another company came in at a lower price, but Yazmin's customer service won me over--and I'm glad it did. She originally told me the turnaround would be 1-2 weeks, but amazingly, she had everything completed in just 2 days. Then I realized I had given her an inaccurate count and needed to add another 100 pieces. She got those done that same afternoon! I'm a 68-year-old general contractor, and I've always thought I provided great customer service, but Yazmin went above and beyond even what I would expect of myself. That's saying something! This location here is where you actually purchase and pick up the supplies. We were able to find everything we needed for our projects at Thompson. We made several trips; scoops of base and sand, sacks of material, and pallets of pavers. Fairly quick to get everything too, not a long wait ever, if any. The staff at this materials location is definitely not as friendly or helpful as the Design location, but then they aren't trying to get your business, at this point they already have it. The people at the counter are still nice enough and fairly helpful, depending on who you talk to. The workers in the back getting the scoops and pallets are quick and get the job done fast, they are the backbone! Pricing is great! And took hardly any time to get what we needed. Keep in mind you have to actually look at the designs and decide what you want at the Design location then order and pay for your items at this location, so that's where it got slightly confusing. And maybe because on our first trip there, the computers were down, so things were a bit amiss. However, if just getting scoops or non-design items then you can go directly to this location to get that type of material. See? It's a bit confusing, but you'll catch on. If we can, anyone can! See you next time!

Couldn't be happier with my experience working with Kai Baltgalvis for our front entry door…read morepurchase. We spent a few weeks shopping around big box retailers and custom door store recommendations online and I couldn't believe how difficult it was to get straightforward answers (estimated time lines, door material options, and final cost). The prices purchasing through Ganahl were definitely the most reasonable. Kai provided excellent customer service from beginning to end. He was knowledgeable, provided good recommendations, and quick to respond to any questions I had. When a minor hiccup occurred (on the manufacture side) Kai was quick to take action and make things right. If your shopping for new front entry doors save yourself time and start first at Ganahl lumber.

We are having a very disappointing and frustrating experience with ordering our new front door from…read moreGanahl. We were initially surprised when told it would take over 3 months (!) until it would arrive, with an estimated date of August 2. We were later advised "Oh, that's not a promise date, just an estimate," and it is now expected August 4. As of today, we are advised that the door will be in on August 24. Naturally, their credibility is now very low to zero from my perspective, and nobody is willing to take accountability and offer any kind of compensation for this Meshuggas. (Also, our project is on hold, as this cannot be completed without the new front door). In summary, if you are interested in a door - whether a plain door or a very ornate door - which will come......eh.....sometime, maybe in a few weeks, maybe a few months, a few years...if ever - and you like purchasing from a business which as of late displays a lack of accountability, inconsistency, and generally poor business practices, Ganahl may be of interest to you. However, if you prefer a business which makes decisions based on good customer service, respect, accountability, I recommend to give your business to one of their competitors in your area. I notice there are some strong reviews posted from years past, but per my very recent experience, it seems likely they are heading in a downward direction.
