My…read moreexperience with this company is that they made every penny they could - they charged the highest amount allowed by Massachusetts law - and then added on a $55 "Administrative Fee" - which they told me was 'not regulated by the state' and 'to cover their expenses.' The accident was Saturday evening - they were only open for 2 hours on Sunday - not enough time to arrange for the car to be towed from there. I picked the car up at 3 p.m. on Monday. They charged me $35 for two days 'storage' - essentially my car was held hostage. Mac's towing charged me $126 to tow my car 5 miles from the accident to their facility, $70 to "store it", and a $55 "administrative fee" - for a total of $251 to get my car back. I called Mastria today and told them I needed the car towed from Mac's to Brockton Foreign Automotive Repair - about 15 miles - the cost - $110. Mastria is a local company - one that I have used before and will use and recommend to others in the future. Mac's will never get any business from me - unless we are unfortunate enough to have a car accident. They clearly benefit from having a captive customer base - one that is forced to pay extra fees and inflated prices because they have a contract with the city. Shame on Mac's Towing.

First, he tried jumpstarting my battery. When he realised it wasn't a battery issue, he asked if he could try a few things in the driver's seat.
